Can I give negative score??? I didn't really think of posting any review here on Yelp until just now, I got to know that they rejected my boyfriend's mom and their cat because of my public complaint I posted last year. I wasn't going to sue them or anything. But I was expecting some explanation/apology from here. Malpractice happens. Everyone makes some mistakes in his/her life. But the attitude from this clinic pissed me off. I've never received any official apology or explanation from here. Yet they're declining a potential patient who's related to me because of my complaint before. They are not qualified to be in the medical field. Here's what I posted as a complaint online last year: The vet I want to complain about is Aleisha Nesset from West Valley Pet Clinic in San Jose/Cupertino. She is a nice lady but that doesn't mean she was a good doctor to my kitty.I left the country by the end of June, 2016, to visit my relatives in Asia. So I left my cat, Snowffie, with my boyfriend's family. My boyfriend's mom noticed some irregular signs of Snowffie's eye soon after we left, such as squinting her left eye a lot and tearing more than usual. So she brought Snowffie to West Valley Pet Clinic near their house. Dr. Nesset suggested that Snowffie had corneal immflamation which was probably caused by a trauma or irritation, but she said that they"confirm there was not a deeper injury/ulcer to the eye". And she prescribed the eyedrop called Bausch+Lomb Neomycin and Polymyxin B Sulfates and Dexamethasone Ophthalmic Suspension. Snowffie did seem like getting better at first but then her eye showed even worse condition. My boyfriend's mom brought Snowffie back to Dr. Nesset again and was told to use some ointment instead of that eyedrop. But Dr. Nesset didn't ask us to bring Snowffie to see an eye doctor until Snowffie already had a formation on her left eye. According to my boyfriend's mom, Dr. Nesset sounded very confident about treating Snowffie until Snowffie's eye got very cloudy and grew out a blister-like formation.I was very worried so once I came back on 8.20.2016, I even ignored my jet lags and brought Snowffie to emergency. The doctor from emergency service told me never to use that eyedrop again. When I finally got to see the eye specialist, I was told to throw away the eyedrop Dr. Nesset prescribed because that eyedrop may relieve the symptom for a shorts while but it had resulted in irritating the infected eye even more. But anyways, we had to perform a conjunctival grafting surgery on Snowffie. If Snowffie was brought to specialist sooner, everything would be better. I was so self-blamed for a while and so did my boyfriend's mom. But Snowffie is my first cat and my boyfriend's mom is not very experienced with such situation either. I just wished we were told to bring Snowffie to eye specialist sooner instead of hearing a general vet's confident words about her malpractice.I have already spent almost $4000 (by September 2016) on Snowffie. With insurance, I've still spent $1200+ out of it. And the thing I care the most is not money but how much my kitty has been suffering. Even though Snowffie is (was) recovering well, she will permanently have a screen-like scar on her eye, which will become more pale than current pink color. Her eyes used to be so pretty with copper color. They were both so round and so clear. Whenever she wide opened her eyes, I could see curiosity and excitement for this world from her. But now, she will have to look around the scar through her left eye and whenever I look at her, I feel pain deep inside me. But as long as she grows up happily and healthily, I will appreciate as always. At the same time, I want to say that vets should ask pets' owners to bring pets to specialists as soon as possible especially when abnormality in animals occurs outside of their general practice. And at very least, they shouldn't recklessly prescribe any medicine.AGAIN, I understand malpractice happens. However, the attitude from this clinic is horrible. And to all pets' owners, IF ANYTHING SHOULD HAPPEN AND DOESN'T SEEM GETTING BETTER IN YOUR PETS, SEEK FOR HELP FROM ANOTHER VET AND MAKE APPOINTMENT WITH SPECIALISTS ASAP. Wish you and your pet all my best. I'm attaching some photos from last year in timely order. Read Less
