Their prices are reasonable, and it's the personal touch that matters. You are included there in your pets treatment.

Dr. Welsh is an incredibly talented, caring and invested veterinarian. She actually treats your pet instead of just sending you home with meds. She is also an extraordinarily gifted surgeon. My long haired dachshund had a melanoma tumor between his toes, and she removed it all without sacrificing his toes. We live in Gilroy now, but drive our 18 year old back to San Jose to see her. Dr. Welsh worth the drive, and the old boy- 18 now- deserves nothing but the best, and she is the best.

friendly staff, but Dr Welsh was not helpful with our dog's skin issues. She never recommended us to a dermatologist, every time she just gave us antibiotic pills that only fixed his skin temporarily ...
friendly staff, but Dr Welsh was not helpful with our dog's skin issues. She never recommended us to a dermatologist, every time she just gave us antibiotic pills that only fixed his skin temporarily so we had to keep coming back. we see a different doctor now.

I really love bringing my cats here. The doctor and staff are great, I trust them. There is a very personal feel, not cookie cutter like some of the veterinary chains. I also like how calm the office is, which is really important for cats, meaning there are only one or two other animals coming through while we are there. Another place I went had about 8 dogs in the waiting room and my kitten was totally freaked out. Overall I highly recommend.

I simply cannot state just how wonderful Wildwood is! It's THE BEST place for exotics in N. CA! For 20 years I've been bringing birds and now my precious Mooshy, my guinea pig. Dr. Welsh and Dr. Sanders spend the time with you and really know about exotics! While I feel bad when my babies are not feeling good, I do look forward to seeing Dr. Welsh and having wonderful conversations about birds and guinea pigs (what I know best in the pet world). Many vets claim they see exotics or what they call small animals but seeing a handful a year is NOT experience. The information I've heard from such vets makes me both laugh and cry! Thank God for Dr. Welsh & Dr. Sanders. Finding an experienced, knowledgeable caring, loving EXOTIC vet is like finding a needle in the haystack. There is a reason why I've taken all my exotics to Wildwood for 20 years.... :)

Dr. Welsh is an incredibly talented, caring and invested veterinarian. She actually treats your pet instead of just sending you home with meds. She is also an extraordinarily gifted surgeon. I really love bringing my cats here. The doctor and staff are great, I trust them. There is a very personal feel, not cookie cutter like some of the veterinary chains. I also like how calm the office is, which is really important for cats, meaning there are only one or two other animals coming through while we are there. Another place I went had about 8 dogs in the waiting room and my kitten was totally freaked out. Overall I highly recommend.
