Dr. Jay on Dr. Secor's team is absolutely amazing. Extremely knowledgeable, patient, and truly cares about the horse. Explained everything he was doing and even gave me a little lesson on how to better spot for abscesses. Extremely thankfully he was able to fix my mare all up!

Absolutely amazing. There are not enough words to convey how great Dr. Secor is. I have had many vets over the years but none come close to him and the way he treats his patients and their owners. Knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, empathetic are just a few.

Dr. Secor and his team are the greatest asset any horse owner in Orange County could have. The office assistants are prompt, courteous, and caring of your situation, whatever you may be calling for. Dr. Watanabe is a complete sweetheart, and very gentle when giving immunizations. Dr. Bowen is the only vet who ever believed me when I said my horse was allergic to nature, and helped me get a blood panel done to properly eliminate all of the things causing my mare's hair to fall out (which was almost everything, to be honest). When my mare's eye started having issues, Dr. Bowen was out there with a gentle voice to explain everything that was going on, how to administer all of the drugs needed, and was always open to phone conversations on what to do next. When the eye went completely white, Dr. Secor came out to the barn to do an in-field eye removal surgery, with Dr. Bowen assisting. He even let a gaggle of vet techs at my barn watch the procedure and ask questions the whole time. His patience with my mare throughout the whole ordeal was insurmountable. He was quick to answer any questions, and open to all the stupid questions of a freaked out horse owner like myself. Just this week, Secor was back at my barn to diagnose the same mare with dermatitis in both back legs. (Yes, she's a walking disaster whom I love with all my heart.) Again, Dr. Secor was extremely patient, and provided me with golden nuggets of his vast knowledge on how to heal the infection. I would say I would give my left eye to Secor and his team for everything they do, but my horse has already done that.

I as well stumbled upon these reviews while looking up Dr Secor's contact info....and can not resist the opportunity to stand up on this soapbox and say that Dr Secor is beyond awesome. He was referred to me by my friend Teresa of Modjeska Ranch Rescue in my time of need, I didn't know what to do... ( I had met Dr Secor once several years ago when I had a horse that he tended to once) when I contacted his office, the woman who answered was wonderful, I was very upset and she was comforting, I recently "adopted" a couple of goats because they needed a home, and one got very sick and was fading very fast...Dr Secor saved him....went out of his way to help....I mean come on...Dr Secor takes care of horses right?, this is a goat....well, he obviously believes in his heart that all lives matter, and he saved this one!!! Even though it looked hopeless....Dr Secor has a heart of gold!

I saw the bad review and had to write as well. Dr. Secor is an amazing person and a vet that is extremely knowledgable. I have also had his associates work with me on several horses. I had the unfortunate experience of a horse that miscarried and the vet from Secor's office came and worked with her hand in my horse for hours to get the placenta to deliver. She went above and beyond to save my horse. That horse is alive because these vets care...don't be fooled by trash talk.

We love Dr. Secor. He is very caring and very thorough. Our mare hurt her left front about a month ago. His office arrived with 10 minutes and took all sorts of X rays. He was back out in the morning ...
We love Dr. Secor. He is very caring and very thorough. Our mare hurt her left front about a month ago. His office arrived with 10 minutes and took all sorts of X rays. He was back out in the morning and did ultrasound and more X rays. Luckily our girl made an amazing recovery and he was as happy with her healing as we were.

My mare doesn't trust too Many but he takes the time that it takes as do all of his staff. He is not only an excellent vet but more importantly a spiritual heart. All great!!

Grettalynn-Your first words ("I don't know Dr Secor myself") pretty much say it all. I've known Dr Secor for years. In fact, any of us that know Mark appreciate the treatment and care he affords our horses. Mark has treated all my horses-many of which he and I have rescued from neglect and abuse. He treats them medically & I train them to be confident lesson/trail horses. I have a string of 25 horses many of which are in their late teens or 20 that Mark keeps healthy and happy. As a stable owner I've had first hand experience with all of the large animal Vets in the area. I know that Dr Secor screens his associates extensively prior to hiring them and/or allowing them to practice medicine on his behalf. He and all his staff are quick to respond and always treat the horses with love and devotion. One thing that has always impressed me with Dr Secor is that he spares no expense and purchases many "State of the Art" diagnostic tools & equipment. He travels far and wide to attend conferences and clinics and makes sure his associates are familiar with the newest and most advanced procedures. Please...any of you that are reading these postings don't think twice about calling Dr Secor for all your large animal Veterinary services- you won't be sorry!

Dr. Secor and his team are the greatest asset any horse owner in Orange County could have. The office assistants are prompt, courteous, and caring of your situation, whatever you may be calling for. I saw the bad review and had to write as well. Dr. Secor is an amazing person and a vet that is extremely knowledgable. I have also had his associates work with me on several horses. We love Dr. Secor. He is very caring and very thorough. Our mare hurt her left front about a month ago. His office arrived with 10 minutes and took all sorts of X rays.
