At Ortega Animal Care Center, we’re here for our patients and their families whenever they need us. In a unique and modern space, we provide vet services for small animals, including dentistry. We also provide training, boarding, grooming and shuttle services, as well as a 24/7 pet hotel. If you can’t get away from work to drop them off, we’ll pick them up. If you miss them when you’re traveling, we’ll set up a video chat. We’re family owned, and driven by one goal: make the world a better place for the animals we treat. Whether it’s a pup that needs a break from the shelter, or a Himalayan who needs a haircut, we’re here to care for each animal we’re lucky enough to meet.
Dr. Brehmer is a Minnesota transplant, having grown up on a small hobby farm in western Minnesota. He raised cattle, ducks, chickens and geese, and participated in 4H for many years. Dr. Brehmer attended the University of Minnesota for undergraduate school and Ross University for Veterinary school. He completed his clinical year of Veterinary school at the University of Missouri School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2009. Dr. Brehmer started his career as a racetrack Veterinarian in Arizona, practicing primarily on thoroughbred racehorses. He moved to Southern California in 2010 and began his career in small animal private practice. He and his wife Dr. Lynlee Fluent lived out their dream when they purchased Ortega Animal Care Center in November 2013. Dr. Brehmer practices all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery, with a special interest in internal medicine, preventative care and reproduction. His hobbies and interests include cattle genetics and breeding, spending time with his wife and daughter Farah and his three French Bulldogs, and traveling whenever he gets a chance.
Dr. Fluent is a Southern California native, born and raised in Dana Point. From a very early age, Dr. Fluent displayed a passion for taking care of animals- having grown up with pets of all kinds from hamsters to iguanas, turtles, snakes, cats and dogs. Dr. Fluent attended UCLA for undergraduate school and went on to Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, which is where she and her husband met. She attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine for her clinical year and graduated in 2008. Dr. Fluent started her career in small animal private practice in Orange County and has been doing so ever since. Prior to attending Veterinary school, Dr. Fluent spent seven years working in small animal hospitals in Orange County and Los Angeles- gaining invaluable experience familiarizing herself with every aspect of how a small animal hospital functions- which prepared her for her current role as hospital owner and manager. Dr. Fluent's special interests include soft tissue surgery, dentistry and abdominal ultrasound. Her hobbies include spending time with her family, traveling and tending to her succulent garden.

We have left our Bernese mountain dog for extended stays and the staff is wonderful. Best of all there is someone taking care of animals 7 days a week. The vets are great!

This is Coming from Our Dog Rescue; We need to clear up a few things regarding our dog who escaped. First and Foremost we want to give a big thank you to all of the people that came together to help in the search of Shelby. This includes the staff at Ortega Animal Care Center.Shelby has crossed the rainbow bridge and no longer is living in fear. She, unfortunately, was attacked by coyotes.Social Media can be a very big help in sharing and communicating far and wide to get messages across. Social Media can also keep people accountable as well, including us. We have seen things go a bit south in this story and we do need to clear up a few items so that we are all on the same page. I realize people's intentions are good and protective, but sometimes the whole story is not known or told. I think it is human nature to try and understand what happened so as this will not happen again. Sometimes people fill in the blanks not knowing the full story.Shelby did get loose from her slip lead, and that was an unfortunate accident. We further investigated the situation and found out the staff immediately flew into action by searching for Shelby. They contacted Animal control as well. She was last seen headed up into the residences off of Ortega Highway. A crew of people searched throughout Saturday and into the night. The search continued Sunday and this morning. Meanwhile, many people created flyers and posted for us.The Vets including both Drs. Fluent and Brehmer have been in constant contact with us and has offered to help in any way they can. Everyone involved felt terrible and tried to help in the situation They have always taken care of our animals and we have a working relationship with them. They have created a new protocol to take the pups out for their daily walks. We hope our rescue community can continue to work together and move forward. We will continue to rescue in memory of Shelby and the others that have crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Thank you for understanding and the support. Let's work together to build a community

I can't say enough good things about this place. Their professionalism and compassion for your animals is top notch.My very sweet golden had an urgent issue, last Sunday, Mother's day. Instead of sending me to emergency clinic, they stayed and waited for me to arrive. Dr. Fluent took care his issue, quickly! All the staff are kind, helpful and compassionate. I recommend this practice to anyone who is looking for a reasonably priced vet, who has great extended hours and will also pick up and drop-off.The groomers are great here as well.Thank you OACC!

My cat (Maine coon mix) had a matted area on her chest that I couldn't get out. I called the day before to set up an appointment. The center is very clean. Everyone was nice and professional. I just wanted the matts shaved out and that's exactly what they did. Roberto the groomer was extremely helpful. He brought me back to show me what he did, what kind of brush to use to prevent it and answered all my questions. The price was lower then I was expecting so that always helps. They took good care of my fur baby and I'm very pleased with their service! We will be back!

We love Ortega Animal Care Center! Our dog is "special needs" because she is partially paralyzed in her hind end, so when we recently relocated to south OC from north OC, we were nervous about finding a good place to board her while we are out of town. OACC has been fantastic! Their boarding facilities are super clean and safe, and all of the staff is amazing. AND, there is someone there 24 hours a day, which is not the norm with most facilities. They take excellent care of our dog- everyone there loves her and fawns all over her when we bring her in- and she loves the attention :) They take the dogs on multiple walks a day, and they get tons of attention and love. They also do grooming here, and our dog always smells so good when we pick her up! The owners, Dr. Brehmer and Dr. Fluent, are both fantastic vets-- we have seen both of them and have been very happy with the service and care they have provided. The office is excellent about keeping you up to date with test results, vaccinations due, etc, and the front desk staff and kennel staff are all super friendly. We are so happy that we found this place-- we can now rest easy when we are out of town, knowing that our pup is being well cared for :)

Dr. Fluent and Dr. Brehmer are amazing veterinarians that have taken care of all of my dogs in an exceptional manner. They have gone above and beyond to tackle any health issue my dogs have had and they truly care and put their heart and soul into what they do, which is caringfor every dog they see at Ortega Animal Care Center. My dog that has been battling skincancer has been treated by them and she is better than ever. I have used other vets in thearea, but after bringing all of my dogs to Ortega Animal Care Center for a few years now, I would never use any other vet. They are consistent, they give the most amazing care to eachand every dog, they love my dogs, and I see how much healthier and happier all of my dogs are under the care of Dr. Fluent and Dr. Brehmer. The whole staff is also beyond supportive and they are the absolute best veterinarian facility. I would not go anywhere else!!!!

Their Office and boarding area is always super clean with lots of room and plenty of staff.All the Staff members are very friendly, professional and knowledgeable and will make sure that you are taken care off.Most Vets only care about how much cash they can squeeze out of you and nothing else, but in the case of Dr. Fluent and Dr. Brehmer that's the total opposite.They are honest, very caring, affordable and they take the time to explain the procedure, even if you have a ton of questions like I always do.Doctor Fluent has gone out of her way several times for me and even texted and or called me on her Days off to check up on my pups after a visit/procedure etc.Even when I called the office and she wasn't in yet or off she would always call me back in a timely manner because I get very anxious if it's something that has to do with my pups and I'm worried and need a answer.I feel very comfortable and trust Dr. Fluent and Dr. Brehmer 110% to do, what is necessary to keep my pups happy and healthy. I do not trust this establishment, as I have received nothing but so many excuses and lies from it. My poor baby would have been so much better off had she not been treated here. There are exceptionally better vetrinary practices in the area. (first 2 reviews were unjustifiably reported. this is attempt 3)

I've recently moved to this area and was referred by a friend. I have two senior cats (my little old men), and they have some on-going medical issues (one is a kidney kitty and the other has hyperthyroidism). I was nervous to bring Groucho to a new vet, but I was very happy with Dr. Brehmer. He reviewed Groucho's previous test results and helped come up with a good plan and duet for them both. Karen and Danielle were awesome, as well. They both showed so much care for me and Groucho.

However, service wasn't what we expected. We were promised a flea shot for our kitten with our first visit. The first time our kitten was under weight we we couldn't get it. Then came in 2 more times via scheduled appointments and they didn't have shot in stock. One staff member got offended when we told her we wanted to talk with the Vet directly to ask a few questions.

DO NOT GO HERE. BOTH CATS SEVERELY DEHYDRATED AND LOST WEIGHT AFTER BOARDING. We used to board our cats here when we went on vacation. Not any more. Will never come back.On our last 12 days of boarding both cats lost weght, had hair falling out, and were weak and dehydrated.One went from 9 pounds down to only 6.5 lbs! Scary. The other cat lost 1.5 pounds. BOTH WERE PATHETIC AND NOT NORMAL, and would not eat much after boarding.We left plenty of both wet and dry food, and treats for the stay so it shouldn't have been a change of diet.When we picked them up it was just before closing, and Ortega staff told us both cats were fine during the stay. It wasn't until we got them home and out of the carriers that we realized how sick both cats were. Called the next morning but the people there claimed nothing was unusual during the stay in food intake or behavior. THIS MUST MEAN NO ONE NOTICED OR CARED. HOW IS IT OK FOR A 9 LB CAT TO LOSE ONE-THIRD OF HIS WEIGHT?We had to go through the expense of visiting other veterinarians the next few months to get blood tests, and medication to get the appetites back to normal. Apparently sick cats can be nauseous and eat less, and lose even more weight. By the way, as a "second opinion" I highly rec the QUAIL HILL VET (on Sand Canyon)WHO WAS GREAT AND TOLD US HOW TO NURSE THE REALLY SKINNY ONE BACK TO EATING AGAIN AND PAYING CAREFUL ATTENTION TO REHYDRATION.The other 14 lb cat recovered weight more quickly, but his personality is more wary now.This was a horrible experience.

Been going here for close to 8 years for grooming and boarding. This morning I tried to make a grooming appointment and I was told that my dog needed her Rabies shot, which I totally acknowledged and was happy to do. I was then told that I would have to submit her to a complete medical exam in addition to the shot. I explained that my dog is 14 years old, has her own vet, and that I have made the decision to no longer submit her to needless medical care because she is a senior and on her last months. The receptionist told me that she would not make a grooming appointment for me because I refused to see the on site vet. I than told her to please have her manager or the vet call me so I could discuss this further with them, and I was assured someone would call me back and never heard from them. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I will say the groomers are incredible and are wonderful with my dog, this has nothing to do with the service I received from them but this low rating is in response to this new method of bringing in income. If I have been a loyal customer for years and this is how they treat me, I can only imagine how they treat new customers!

We have been taking our dog here for years to have him cared for while we would go out of town and we didn't mind paying the extra money for the hotel because we knew he was in good hands but after the management changed, this establishment has quickly moved in a downward spiral.
After coming back from our last trip, we stopped by to pick up our dog to realize (for the first time in 8 years) he had picked up FLEAS. Not to mention our dog was also severely dehydrated. I had not seen him drink that many bowls of water right after another. He had been traumatized. And to think we paid premium for a suite so he would be more comfortable!
We approached management with our concerns and they stated there was nothing they would do since we had signed the liability release. It seems they do not care for the animals they are supposedly tending to.
They have lost a long-time customer and it won't be long until they will be out of business. If you care for your animal, think twice before dropping him/her off here. I hope nobody has to experience what this lackluster of an establishment has put me and my family through.

This establishment IS NOT FIT TO CARE FOR ANIMALS.We have been taking our dog here for years to have him cared for while we would go out of town and we didn't mind paying the extra money for the hotel because we knew he was in good hands but after the management changed, this establishment has quickly moved in a downward spiral.After coming back from our last trip, we stopped by to pick up our dog to realize (for the first time in 8 years) he had picked up FLEAS. Not to mention our dog was also severely dehydrated. I had not seen him drink that many bowls of water right after another. He had been traumatized. And to think we paid premium for a suite so he would be more comfortable!We approached management with our concerns and they stated there was nothing they would do since we had signed the liability release. It seems they do not care for the animals they are supposedly tending to. They have lost a long-time customer and it won't be long until they will be out of business. If you care for your animal, think twice before dropping him/her off here. I hope nobody has to experience what this lackluster of an establishment has put me and my family through.

Came here with a Groupon and was pleasantly surprised. Usually when I go in to a veterinarian's office, I always feel under pressure to run this test or buy this or that. Not here, I felt no pressure at all, and everyone seemed to actually enjoy working with peoples pets. Dr, Bremmer was knowledgeable and caring towards our dog. Prescribed what we needed and it actually worked!! So glad we have found a permanent vet, thank you very much!

Dropped by this morning to pick up some prescription food for my canine. I've bought from them before but, since new management took over recently, they want me to pay for an exam before purchasing the food. I have 4 vet hospitals that I go to, and this is the only one that has ever refused to let me purchase food, even when faxing the current records over to show my pet is eligible for the prescription. Not only was this an unnecessary inconvenience for me, but it's also a sign of a vet who nickels and dimes people. I won't be returning anytime soon.

At Ortega Animal Care Center, we’re here for our patients and their families whenever they need us. In a unique and modern space, we provide vet services for small animals, including dentistry. We also provide training, boarding, grooming and shuttle services, as well as a 24/7 pet hotel. If you can’t get away from work to drop them off, we’ll pick them up. If you miss them when you’re traveling, we’ll set up a video chat. We’re family owned, and driven by one goal: make the world a better place for the animals we treat. Whether it’s a pup that needs a break from the shelter, or a Himalayan who needs a haircut, we’re here to care for each animal we’re lucky enough to meet.
Dr. Brehmer is a Minnesota transplant, having grown up on a small hobby farm in western Minnesota. He raised cattle, ducks, chickens and geese, and participated in 4H for many years. Dr. Brehmer attended the University of Minnesota for undergraduate school and Ross University for Veterinary school. He completed his clinical year of Veterinary school at the University of Missouri School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2009. Dr. Brehmer started his career as a racetrack Veterinarian in Arizona, practicing primarily on thoroughbred racehorses. He moved to Southern California in 2010 and began his career in small animal private practice. He and his wife Dr. Lynlee Fluent lived out their dream when they purchased Ortega Animal Care Center in November 2013. Dr. Brehmer practices all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery, with a special interest in internal medicine, preventative care and reproduction. His hobbies and interests include cattle genetics and breeding, spending time with his wife and daughter Farah and his three French Bulldogs, and traveling whenever he gets a chance.

From a very early age, Dr. Fluent displayed a passion for taking care of animals- having grown up with pets of all kinds from hamsters to iguanas, turtles, snakes, cats and dogs. Dr. Fluent attended UCLA for undergraduate school and went on to Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, which is where she and her husband met. She attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine for her clinical year and graduated in 2008. Dr. Fluent started her career in small animal private practice in Orange County and has been doing so ever since. One stop shop is what I'd call Ortega Animal Care Center. Our dog loves this place for daily playtime. The OACC also has boarding for all sizes of dogs and cats. We have left our Bernese mountain dog for extended stays and the staff is wonderful. Best of all there is someone taking care of animals 7 days a week. The vets are great!

This is Coming from Our Dog Rescue; We need to clear up a few things regarding our dog who escaped. First and Foremost we want to give a big thank you to all of the people that came together to help in the search of Shelby. This includes the staff at Ortega Animal Care Center.Shelby has crossed the rainbow bridge and no longer is living in fear. She, unfortunately, was attacked by coyotes.Social Media can be a very big help in sharing and communicating far and wide to get messages across. Social Media can also keep people accountable as well, including us. We have seen things go a bit south in this story and we do need to clear up a few items so that we are all on the same page. I realize people's intentions are good and protective, but sometimes the whole story is not known or told. I think it is human nature to try and understand what happened so as this will not happen again. Sometimes people fill in the blanks not knowing the full story.Shelby did get loose from her slip lead, and that was an unfortunate accident. We further investigated the situation and found out the staff immediately flew into action by searching for Shelby. They contacted Animal control as well. She was last seen headed up into the residences off of Ortega Highway. A crew of people searched throughout Saturday and into the night. The search continued Sunday and this morning. Meanwhile, many people created flyers and posted for us.The Vets including both Drs. Fluent and Brehmer have been in constant contact with us and has offered to help in any way they can. Everyone involved felt terrible and tried to help in the situation They have always taken care of our animals and we have a working relationship with them. They have created a new protocol to take the pups out for their daily walks. We hope our rescue community can continue to work together and move forward. We will continue to rescue in memory of Shelby and the others that have crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Thank you for understanding and the support. Let's work together to build a community

I can't say enough good things about this place. Their professionalism and compassion for your animals is top notch.My very sweet golden had an urgent issue, last Sunday, Mother's day. Instead of sending me to emergency clinic, they stayed and waited for me to arrive. Dr. Fluent took care his issue, quickly! All the staff are kind, helpful and compassionate. I recommend this practice to anyone who is looking for a reasonably priced vet, who has great extended hours and will also pick up and drop-off.The groomers are great here as well.Thank you OACC!

My cat (Maine coon mix) had a matted area on her chest that I couldn't get out. I called the day before to set up an appointment. The center is very clean. Everyone was nice and professional. I just wanted the matts shaved out and that's exactly what they did. Roberto the groomer was extremely helpful. He brought me back to show me what he did, what kind of brush to use to prevent it and answered all my questions. The price was lower then I was expecting so that always helps. They took good care of my fur baby and I'm very pleased with their service! We will be back!

We love Ortega Animal Care Center! Our dog is "special needs" because she is partially paralyzed in her hind end, so when we recently relocated to south OC from north OC, we were nervous about finding a good place to board her while we are out of town. OACC has been fantastic! Their boarding facilities are super clean and safe, and all of the staff is amazing. AND, there is someone there 24 hours a day, which is not the norm with most facilities. They take excellent care of our dog- everyone there loves her and fawns all over her when we bring her in- and she loves the attention :) They take the dogs on multiple walks a day, and they get tons of attention and love. They also do grooming here, and our dog always smells so good when we pick her up! The owners, Dr. Brehmer and Dr. Fluent, are both fantastic vets-- we have seen both of them and have been very happy with the service and care they have provided. The office is excellent about keeping you up to date with test results, vaccinations due, etc, and the front desk staff and kennel staff are all super friendly. We are so happy that we found this place-- we can now rest easy when we are out of town, knowing that our pup is being well cared for :)

Dr. Fluent and Dr. Brehmer are amazing veterinarians that have taken care of all of my dogs in an exceptional manner. They have gone above and beyond to tackle any health issue my dogs have had and they truly care and put their heart and soul into what they do, which is caringfor every dog they see at Ortega Animal Care Center. My dog that has been battling skincancer has been treated by them and she is better than ever. I have used other vets in thearea, but after bringing all of my dogs to Ortega Animal Care Center for a few years now, I would never use any other vet. They are consistent, they give the most amazing care to eachand every dog, they love my dogs, and I see how much healthier and happier all of my dogs are under the care of Dr. Fluent and Dr. Brehmer. The whole staff is also beyond supportive and they are the absolute best veterinarian facility. I would not go anywhere else!!!!

Their Office and boarding area is always super clean with lots of room and plenty of staff.All the Staff members are very friendly, professional and knowledgeable and will make sure that you are taken care off.Most Vets only care about how much cash they can squeeze out of you and nothing else, but in the case of Dr. Fluent and Dr. Brehmer that's the total opposite.They are honest, very caring, affordable and they take the time to explain the procedure, even if you have a ton of questions like I always do.Doctor Fluent has gone out of her way several times for me and even texted and or called me on her Days off to check up on my pups after a visit/procedure etc.Even when I called the office and she wasn't in yet or off she would always call me back in a timely manner because I get very anxious if it's something that has to do with my pups and I'm worried and need a answer.I feel very comfortable and trust Dr. Fluent and Dr. Brehmer 110% to do, what is necessary to keep my pups happy and healthy. I do not trust this establishment, as I have received nothing but so many excuses and lies from it. My poor baby would have been so much better off had she not been treated here. There are exceptionally better vetrinary practices in the area. (first 2 reviews were unjustifiably reported. this is attempt 3)

I've recently moved to this area and was referred by a friend. I have two senior cats (my little old men), and they have some on-going medical issues (one is a kidney kitty and the other has hyperthyroidism). I was nervous to bring Groucho to a new vet, but I was very happy with Dr. Brehmer. He reviewed Groucho's previous test results and helped come up with a good plan and duet for them both. Karen and Danielle were awesome, as well. They both showed so much care for me and Groucho.

Then came in 2 more times via scheduled appointments and they didn't have shot in stock. One staff member got offended when we told her we wanted to talk with the Vet directly to ask a few questions.

DO NOT GO HERE. BOTH CATS SEVERELY DEHYDRATED AND LOST WEIGHT AFTER BOARDING. We used to board our cats here when we went on vacation. Not any more. Will never come back.On our last 12 days of boarding both cats lost weght, had hair falling out, and were weak and dehydrated.One went from 9 pounds down to only 6.5 lbs! Scary. The other cat lost 1.5 pounds. BOTH WERE PATHETIC AND NOT NORMAL, and would not eat much after boarding.We left plenty of both wet and dry food, and treats for the stay so it shouldn't have been a change of diet.When we picked them up it was just before closing, and Ortega staff told us both cats were fine during the stay. It wasn't until we got them home and out of the carriers that we realized how sick both cats were. Called the next morning but the people there claimed nothing was unusual during the stay in food intake or behavior. THIS MUST MEAN NO ONE NOTICED OR CARED. HOW IS IT OK FOR A 9 LB CAT TO LOSE ONE-THIRD OF HIS WEIGHT?We had to go through the expense of visiting other veterinarians the next few months to get blood tests, and medication to get the appetites back to normal. Apparently sick cats can be nauseous and eat less, and lose even more weight. By the way, as a "second opinion" I highly rec the QUAIL HILL VET (on Sand Canyon)WHO WAS GREAT AND TOLD US HOW TO NURSE THE REALLY SKINNY ONE BACK TO EATING AGAIN AND PAYING CAREFUL ATTENTION TO REHYDRATION.The other 14 lb cat recovered weight more quickly, but his personality is more wary now.This was a horrible experience.

This morning I tried to make a grooming appointment and I was told that my dog needed her Rabies shot, which I totally acknowledged and was happy to do. I was then told that I would have to submit her to a complete medical exam in addition to the shot. I explained that my dog is 14 years old, has her own vet, and that I have made the decision to no longer submit her to needless medical care because she is a senior and on her last months. The receptionist told me that she would not make a grooming appointment for me because I refused to see the on site vet. I than told her to please have her manager or the vet call me so I could discuss this further with them, and I was assured someone would call me back and never heard from them. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I will say the groomers are incredible and are wonderful with my dog, this has nothing to do with the service I received from them but this low rating is in response to this new method of bringing in income. If I have been a loyal customer for years and this is how they treat me, I can only imagine how they treat new customers!

The BEST Veterinary experts. We love both of them. Sandy even loves them too. . They truly care about our fur babies and the staff is amazing. I highly recommend all my friends and family to go there.

This establishment IS NOT FIT TO CARE FOR ANIMALS.
We have been taking our dog here for years to have him cared for while we would go out of town and we didn't mind paying the extra money for the hot...
This establishment IS NOT FIT TO CARE FOR ANIMALS.
We have been taking our dog here for years to have him cared for while we would go out of town and we didn't mind paying the extra money for the hotel because we knew he was in good hands but after the management changed, this establishment has quickly moved in a downward spiral.
After coming back from our last trip, we stopped by to pick up our dog to realize (for the first time in 8 years) he had picked up FLEAS. Not to mention our dog was also severely dehydrated. I had not seen him drink that many bowls of water right after another. He had been traumatized. And to think we paid premium for a suite so he would be more comfortable!
We approached management with our concerns and they stated there was nothing they would do since we had signed the liability release. It seems they do not care for the animals they are supposedly tending to.
They have lost a long-time customer and it won't be long until they will be out of business. If you care for your animal, think twice before dropping him/her off here. I hope nobody has to experience what this lackluster of an establishment has put me and my family through.

Came here with a Groupon and was pleasantly surprised. Usually when I go in to a veterinarian's office, I always feel under pressure to run this test or buy this or that. Not here, I felt no pressure at all, and everyone seemed to actually enjoy working with peoples pets. Dr, Bremmer was knowledgeable and caring towards our dog. Prescribed what we needed and it actually worked!! So glad we have found a permanent vet, thank you very much!

Dropped by this morning to pick up some prescription food for my canine. I've bought from them before but, since new management took over recently, they want me to pay for an exam before purchasing the food. I have 4 vet hospitals that I go to, and this is the only one that has ever refused to let me purchase food, even when faxing the current records over to show my pet is eligible for the prescription. Not only was this an unnecessary inconvenience for me, but it's also a sign of a vet who nickels and dimes people. I won't be returning anytime soon.
