If you're the last appointment of the day, be prepared to wait a little longer to be checked-in (partly because other people are waiting to pick-up meds or pay bills).
The staff are both professional and helpful and genuinely like pets. My cat needed emergency tests which they arranged for; all I had to do was show up with her. I also received a thoughtful phone call and card from the clinic to express their condolences when my cat couldn't be saved.
I would easily recommend this veterinarian.

Good Samaritan has been our vet since we got our first cat in 1987 or so. I feel like I'm visiting old friends when I go there. They have seen our pets through some very challenging sicknesses and always taken excellent, intelligent, honest, and compassionate care of them. We are looking down what could be another long road for one of our cats, but I'm not worried at all. I know he's in the best hands he can be in.

There folks that work here are kind and nice. I was upset about one incident that pretty much defined my experience. Recently my pup got injured and it was an emergency. So I call them almost in tears...
There folks that work here are kind and nice. I was upset about one incident that pretty much defined my experience. Recently my pup got injured and it was an emergency. So I call them almost in tears. I hoped they would have said, "we got her! Please bring her in now!". I don't know why I expected that but when I think of my pup's vet, I think of a more personal experience. Instead, they say there is nothing they can do and I can "set up an appointment in 3 days" and recommended I take her to the energency hospital.
Maybe it was petty for me to think that they would have made her a priority but they run a business - so I have have to understand where they are coming from. Wish I could find a more personal experience for a doctor that loves my pup the way I do.
They are pretty compliant and understanding with most things.

Ok, I switched to a more friendly vet staff. Didn't get proper answers to questions and they wanted to charge too much for tests and procedures. With them 3 years, but decided not best for our dog.

The staff have demonstrated genuine concern for my cats. Special recognition should go to Hope, who always visits my Bella when she is boarded. The cats in my life get fantastic care here. I have an ex-street cat who has a couple of slight health issues and tends to always be on the skinny side, but he is warm, friendly, and brave. I needed a vet who would make a little fuss over him when I took him in to calm my anxiety, so the staff recommended Dr. Doe. My other cat goes to whomever the first available doctor is and they are all very professional and courteous--not a bad lot in the bunch (some of them are just more "dog people", you know?) I also think the support staff are fantastic and I am really happy that they are willing to work out cost options for someone on a limited budget.

Upping to Five Stars: 1/11/16 - I have been going to Good Sam for 2 years now. I have four dogs and they all seem to find their way into the vets office one way or another. I love their approach. The front office staff are SO on top of it. I don't know how they do it but they keep all things in order from the various people coming in to phone calls and keep them all prioritized. I have had them squeeze me in on more serious issues and always follow up to make sure my doggies are ok. Another good sign? I run into half of my dog friends here because they also go to Good Sam. I love Hope, Debbie, Sue, Dr. Doe, Dr. Ekloff..the whole gang. THANKS FOR all that you and your team does for my pups.

I have been bringing my dog Wally to Good Sam for over 12 years; they are always accommodating and helpful. I visited last weekend to have Dr. Keeling check on what appears to be some issues with aging with Wally. She was sympathetic and understanding but also realistic with her diagnosis. Good Sam will care for Wally as long as he is around and will care for future Wallys as well.

The front desk staff are always friendly, and we appreciate the follow-up calls after a visit. The vets are knowledgeable and great at what they do. It's nice to have a vet that doesn't push for expensive tests or treatments if it's not absolutely necessary.

Absolutely the best vet around. And his staff are also amazing. Very kind and considerate. Dr. Doe is so personable and we have every confidence in him. He answers each and every one of our questions and concerns with patience. Never makes us feel rushed. And he always calls us himself with any concerns we have ever had. Even called us himself when we have had blood work done with the results. Could not feel better about our Stella's care ! Thanks Dr. Doe and team !!

Good Samaritan Veterinary Hospital has been taking care of my kitties since 1992. Baring one episode with a new doctor, I can truthfully say that the care has been excellent. The staff have demonstrated genuine concern for my cats. Special recognition should go to Hope, who always visits my Bella when she is boarded. Also getting a gold star is Chris, who always gives Tennis a special belly rub. Thank you, Good Samaritan doctors and staff for taking great car of my cats.

The cats in my life get fantastic care here. I have an ex-street cat who has a couple of slight health issues and tends to always be on the skinny side, but he is warm, friendly, and brave. I needed a vet who would make a little fuss over him when I took him in to calm my anxiety, so the staff recommended Dr. Doe. My other cat goes to whomever the first available doctor is and they are all very professional and courteous--not a bad lot in the bunch (some of them are just more "dog people", you know?) I also think the support staff are fantastic and I am really happy that they are willing to work out cost options for someone on a limited budget.

What great staff. I brought in my dogs for shot updates. The staff and vet were wonderful, no upselling, great prices, and very quick appointment. Less than an hour from the time I walked in the door until I left for checkups and shots for three dogs ( not rushing, just efficient and delightful)
If nothing else my dogs liked them, and they have good judgment

Upping to Five Stars: 1/11/16 - I have been going to Good Sam for 2 years now. I have four dogs and they all seem to find their way into the vets office one way or another. I love their approach. The front office staff are SO on top of it. I don't know how they do it but they keep all things in order from the various people coming in to phone calls and keep them all prioritized. I have had them squeeze me in on more serious issues and always follow up to make sure my doggies are ok. Another good sign? I run into half of my dog friends here because they also go to Good Sam. I love Hope, Debbie, Sue, Dr. Doe, Dr. Ekloff..the whole gang. THANKS FOR all that you and your team does for my pups.

At Good Sam they always treat the clients and pets with respect and professionalism. Jan at the front desk is so helpful and pleasant. Been a loyal client for about 10 years now.

I have been bringing my dog Wally to Good Sam for over 12 years; they are always accommodating and helpful. I visited last weekend to have Dr. Keeling check on what appears to be some issues with aging with Wally. She was sympathetic and understanding but also realistic with her diagnosis. Good Sam will care for Wally as long as he is around and will care for future Wallys as well.

My dog has been seen here for over 1 year. They were to quick to catch when she was having tooth problems and it's been fixed since.
They have been good at following up with me re: bringing her back for annual shots and checkups. This makes it so much easier than attempting to remember those dates myself.

The office is clean and quiet with plenty of space so that multiple animals and people aren't squished together. The front desk staff are always friendly, and we appreciate the follow-up calls after a visit. The vets are knowledgeable and great at what they do. It's nice to have a vet that doesn't push for expensive tests or treatments if it's not absolutely necessary.

Dr Doe and the staff show sincere care for your pets. I always trusted to get the best advice, and my doggies were always happy to see them. Yes, they would come to a full hault at the front door, but tails were always wagging at first sight of Dr Doe! Its great to find a place with expert advice, professionalism, and sincere care for your pets.

The friendly staff at Good Sam is excellent from the front desk staff to the vet techs in the back. The vets always answer all my questions and thoroughly explain all the treatment options and I never feel like I am being rushed out or brushed off. I really appreciate the call backs after treatment too. I would never take my pets anywhere else.
