This place has a good Vetenarian who’s knowledgeable and affordable but the customer service that the front desk is terrible. I would hate to stop coming to this place over there unwelcoming and unprofessional staff in which for most cases you deal with the most. I have been there 4 times and everytime I have been spoken to in a rude and unproffesional manner , I really can’t complain over the prices but their receptionist seem to be inconsiderate by phone and in-person. I was recommended and the prices were stellar. However, I was not satisfied on how my dog was handled. She was taken in for surgery and my appointment was for the morning. I went back in the evening to get her and they hadn’t even done the procedure! I did not receive a call stating it would be delayed. They had to do the procedure after hours and when I went back to get her she was still trying to wake up. We got her to my car and because of her still waking up she peed in my car and a few times at home because she wasn’t fully awake. This was the responsibility of the office to watch her and do these things had they done the procedure around the scheduled appointment. Worst service imaginable.  Have been a customer for a few years and service has always been slow but good enough. It has deteriorated to the point where the doctor probably no longer cares about the clients or what yelp reviewers say.  Made an appointment and waited for close to two hours at the office (which was expected so I didn't complain). Doctor finally looked at the dog for LITERALLY LESS THAN A MINUTE when an assistant poked her head in and dragged him away for some presumably more urgent case.  Another assistant came in to pick up and schedule another visit.  I fumed and demanded to see the doctor again to at least ask a few questions.  Assistant left to fetch the doctor and I was left hanging. Not willing to wait maybe another hour for the doc I let the staff know my feelings and stormed out.  Geez!  Doctor or not, have some freaking respect for the clients!  They may be as educated as you and their time as valuable.  If you are too busy, accept less clients.  If you are too tired, close the business and retire.  Don't treat customers with such disregard.  I'll go elsewhere (even if more expensive places) where my time will be more respected. I worked with Dr. Hosking for approximately 6 months. Most of the girls that I had the pleasure to work with are amazing, we ALL had to take crap from him, he would yell at us, threatened us, accused us of stealing, cussed at us, tried to laid hands on us (abusive wise). It was the most horrible experience anyone could ever have at a work place and to top it off he was racist. He would always come into the office an hour late or even two hours, us the receptionist had to take all the customers complaints and back up the doctor because it was to EMBARRASSING to say "he's not in yet". I'm on anti depressants because of him. And if you ask, " why are the girls not happy to work here" the reason is Dr.Hosking. It was unpleasant to work for him and if I could say even traumatic. When it came to my shift all I could think of is horrible things. Non of us wanted to go back to work because of him. He's a very unpleasant person. Ever question yourself why he's always looking like a hot mess, well it's because of the DRUG ADDICTION that he has ! Yes he uses drugs. He's very unprofessional, his hair never brushed, his dirty long nails, his appearance in over all. One day three girls stayed after hours to help with cleaning and I believe a after hour procedure. At the time his "girlfriend" Lily would be at the clinic all the time and she asked the Doctor to ask one of the girls to give him a urine sample because his girlfriend obviously uses drugs as well, we all declined and guess what he did !!!! He used a dogs urine. There was a client at the time that had taken her dog for euthanasia, her name is Mrs. Baker. The day that her pet was scheduled for euthanasia, it wasn't done ! A worker from a crematorium place had gone to the clinic and asked where the pup was because he couldn't find her in the freezer in the back room. She wasn't euthanatized until Mrs. Baker had called and find out what was going on, Dr. immediately gets the pup and euthanizes her. This is very unprofessional of him. If I would of known how this place was I would had never worked for him.To top it off he accused us of bringing FIBER GLASS into the clinic! One day he started to get into his skin with a tool and we panicked ! We called the cops and an ambulance. He was taken to scrips into a PSYCH UNIT for 3 weeks. I am so pleased my baby Princess is at home with me tonight .., Thanks to my vet Dr Hosking . My 12 year old little chi was having problems breathing . He was there for her kept her there all day to make sure she was ok . She had like a mild heat attack . He is so caring reasonable I went with out an apt and he still squeezed her in . WARNING OF DEFAMATION ON THIS THREAD. A woman posted on this thread that Dr. Hosking's license was revoked. After a quick search on California Vet Boards site I discovered his license was NOT revoked,  However, he did receive a slap on the wrist for a DUI in 1987. The site also indicates that he has NEVER had disciplinary action. I'm sure many of us on here have had a DUI. Judges get DUI's and, in 2017, a 1987 DUI charge is in no way reflective on his overall moral fortitude. In addition, upon a criminal background check, He has only the DUI charge not three criminal arrests. (see disgruntled employee's accusation he was arrested twice. This is an obvious exaggeration and considering her age she was not likely employed in 1987 and would have no personal knowledge as to his 1987 DI arrest. Thus, the both posts are highly misleading. NOTE: Dr. Hosking has postings all over his office warning of online animal pharmaceutical companies are harassing him daily and will not serve anyone using such online services. Clearly, Dr. Hosking is in some sort of dispute with these sites. I mention this because the above mention Yelp review curiously mentions these online sites. This leads me to believe that the post claiming he was convicted and his license was revoked is in fact one of these online companies made this fake profile to further defame Dr. Hosking. In addition, to all of those complaining about long wait times. I do not refute that wait times are long at his office, however, he is at least 6 times cheaper than any other vet. If you want cheap prices like this prepare to wait in a crowded waiting room if your time is so precious go pay some rip off artist that has no one waiting in his office. My experience with the wait time is that emergencies take priority over non-emergencies regardless of appointment. Thus, is a sound policy that saves animals lives. So if your precious time is more important than someones animal then I suggest you rethink you life philosophy. My experience with Dr. Hosking is as follows:I have two dogs. One with chronic allergies. No an emergency. I take him in to Dr. Hosking o have his ears cleaned and get antibiotics. I tend to wait. However, my other dog recently ate a mango seed. It obstructed his intestines. This dog was not getting up for three day. He had a blank stare.He had not gone to bathroom for three days, nor did he eat at all during that three day period. Needless, to say my dog was dying. I went to Dr. Hosking without an appointment and was seen right away in front of six other waiting customers with appointments. As soon as Dr. Hosking saw my dog I immediately saw that he was both visible sad and deeply concerned about my dogs condition.  At that  moment I realized that this man really cares about his work. I have never seen the sort of long face on any other doctor in my life. This man may seem odd to some. As I have taken note of as I reviewed these Yelp posts. I will admit that Dr. Hosking is a unique individual, but I find it grossly unfair to attribute negative adjectives to his personality. I have noticed that some of women on this Yelp string have complaints about his eccentricities. The worst case are the claims he is some sort of drug addict. This again is clear defamation. I recommend to all these women, don't let your personal bias against such eccentric men lead you to defame such a man.  This man is a good man with a decent heart.BTW: I am not Sandra Clark. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE!!!!!!Google his name, he is on the verge of losing his license. He has killed numerous numbers of healthy animals. The most unorganized hospital I've ever seen in my life. I have heard horror stories from techs that have worked at this hospital. RUN, get your animals out of here, it is NOT worth the cheap prices. I have been to this animal hospital 4 times & have had no complaints until today.  I brought my dog in for a mass removal, which i was told in the morning at drop off would be $300 even, including surgery & meds. When I came for pickup several hours later, the price had changed to $470, which is $170 more than they had told me in the morning at drop off. Awful had an appointment for my dog at 10am, was told to come get him at 2-2:30. Showed up and they told me they haven't started his flea bath and vaccines. What's the point of the appointment if the dog is going to sit there all day. It is cheap but you get what you get I guess. The worst customer service. I've been coming here for over 8 months for my dogs insulin since she's been diagnosed with diabetes. I called to make sure the vet had the insulin available and was told they could no longer sell us the insulin. I said I had a prescription from another vet and I've been coming in since October. The rep said they couldn't help me and when I argued that they have sold us the insulin for 8 months she said I must have been dealing with someone new. Really? Love Dr. Hosking, he is an amazing doctor. Very gentle with pets. His prices are more than reasonable. I took my cat Princessa to him yesterday for an ear infection. My husband and I have been taking our dog to Brian since we got her as a puppy. And we went to plenty of other vets offices and they wanted not only all my paycheck but my arms and legs to. Seriously $60 before the doc to even walk in the room. So we landed here and we love it Brian actually cares about the animal and it's very best well being. I swear hes a cat whisperer. Works wonder with my dog that's scared to be there until she see him . prices are way more affordable and now lower income families can have pets now. He's always been very respectable and straight to the point. The only down side is the wait but I'd rather wait for quality care then have to pay out the ass for crappy care. Anyways I've read alot of his reviews and a lot of people have been saying the exact opposite that he's mean and angry and rude well u can't judge a man on a couple bad days we all have them I recommend him to all my family and friends  that have pets  or are getting pets. Here's the deal- if you want cheap prices with  good care then bring your animals here. Dr. Hodgkins knows what he's talking about and he's great for folks who are most concerned about budget. BUT If you want even the slightest bit of customer service  (for instance having an admin team who actually answers the phone and doesn't put you on hold for 10 minutes after doing so, or if you want updates on a pet who has spent 4 nights there and needs surgery) then do not choose this office. I am not exaggerating when I say I have spent at least 20 minutes on hold each day over the last 4 trying to get updates on my cat (whose bill is racking up). The customer service is nonexistent and there is no such thing as proactive communication. They are undoubtedly doing the best they can but for those pet owners who need updates or who are trying to plan for the next 2-3 days this is not for you. Read Less

I worked here for about 7 months because I was the only experienced vet tech and receptionist in the entire building. The dogs don't get walked especially if you board them here, or if they're staying for surgery. I only stayed for so long because I tried fix things and felt so horrible for all the animals that were not being properly taken care of, monitored under anesthesia, or having properly  sanitized equipment used on them during procedures(he does not wash his hands or use gloves for anything, he does everything with bare hands). I tried writing protocols that every vet I've worked has done and sadly the other vet techs working at the time I was, lacked common sense. In the short time working here NOT IN MY SUPERVISION BUT DR HOSKINGS, he had 1 dog die during a spay due to the women working hooking her up to an anesthetic machine used for a 20lb and under dog... this dog was well over 40lbs... another brilliant girl gave a dog an overdose on antibiotics. She gave him a weeks worth of pills at once. Then this same girl cut a dogs ear off almost completely during a bandage change. The best part? Dr hosking didnt do a damn thing. Except try to fix their mistakes. He fired me in worry I would report him to the board and because he made sexual advances towards me and I declined. Worst of all he uses drugs. He hardly sleeps.. he'd keep me there almost every night till midnight sometimes 1 in the morning... and when he does this he's late by over an hour the next day. Wonder why the wait time is so long ? He's busy yelling at his employees about conspiracy theories and that someone put fiber glass all over him and has been watching him at his house. He had me working from 10am-12pm Monday-Friday. Most of the time without a single break. If you truly care about your pet stop coming here. And if you cannot afford a pet then you really shouldn't get one. The price is so cheap because you're getting a joke of a vet that doesn't know what the f$@! hes doing. Read Less

Even when I have been scheduled the first appointment of the day, he was still almost an hour late to my appointment. The nurse came in, took my dogs temperature and basic information then called for the doctor to come in. The doctor came in, and once i explained the issue with my dog's ear, he didn't even take a thorough look at it. My dog had anxious energy from waiting around for an hour and a half in the lobby so would not let the vet near him without growling. The doctor informed me that "he would never let his dog behave like that" and threw a medical book down on the chair next to me and said, "read this" and walked out of the room. I was expected to read the diagnosis myself in a book rather then having him discuss the condition with me directly. When i was done reading about it, he came back in and i asked him follow up questions. All of which were answered with short snappy answers. It was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had. The reason we have continued to go here in the past is because of their reduced prices. However the doctor is extremely unprofessional and unfriendly, doesn't take time to get to know your animal at all and wouldn't even provide me with enough information about the supposed "diagnosis". All in all, after waiting over an hour and half to see the doctor, all i got was a 10 minute visit with a book being thrown at me. Not what i would expect for being a customer of theirs for over 5 years. Needless to say, both my family and my other friends and family have had enough from this establishment. No cost savings is worth the treatment that you receive in that office. Read Less

They Always Help My Dog and Because of How affordable they are I can take my Girl To the Vet Every Time Im worried.. When you cant pay rent Because Of A Vet Bill Then its hard To take your pup. But I found Dr. HOSKINS to be a very gentle practical vet who is there to help rather than rack up a $1000.00 vet bill every trip. And if they dont answer right away call back dont complain plz.. This place has its issues but the vet has always provided excellent care for my dog who has multiple issues. Yes they are affordable and yes I have sat in his office waiting room for an hour or more at times but he does provide great care at affordable prices. your not expected to get gouged for some huge overhead of a fancy office or millions of staff. They are stressed and they all work hard to meet the demands but they always have been nice to us. want to be quick and overpay for services you might not need this is not the vet office your looking for! Great vet for those who have more time than money.  You WILL have to wait on the phone and in the waiting room longer than you would like or expect, but your bill will be less than half than other vets.  I discovered Dr. Hosking when I found a dog that needed medical attention.  I researched "cheap vets" in San Diego and found that many people recommended Dr. Hosking as a good vet with reasonable prices.  I took the dog in and as he was treated, I thought "Crap!  This is going to cost me a fortune!"  When I checked out it was $138 - at my vet it would have cost more like $400-500.  I have now switched all my pets over to Dr. Hosking and am always surprised at how reasonable his prices are.  My chihuahua had a mass removed last week (office visit $22.50, sedation $48, antibiotics $25.20, mass removal $60.....along with allergy shot $21 for excessive itching and Orbax ear drops for her ears  -- grand total was only $207.70 -- at Mission Bird and Animal Hospital, my old vet, that cost would have easily been tripled!  I go here knowing that I am going to have a long wait in the waiting room, but I feel the quality care my pets get, at very reasonable prices, it is well worth the wait.  Five stars based on quality of care and prices......but, due to long wait time on phone and in waiting room I reluctantly had to take off a star.  Just know I wouldn't take my loved pets anywhere else. I took my healthy German Shepherd puppy to be spayed by Dr. Hosking. He KILLED her. Yes she died and he lied. I was referred by family and friends.  Such a great vet if you can look past his sloppy appearance and the wait time.  I did both because of his good reviews.  My puppy loved me so much and I feel like I let her down .  My life will forever be changed because of that traumatic phone call which is such a simply surgery. I arrived at his office at 8;45.  Lobby was full and Dr. Hosking came out and called Shelby around 9:15.  He took her temp. and checked her heart.  He said she had a very strong heart.  Wednesday was the day they spay from 12 till 3.  Pick up at 3.  I called at 2:30 to see if she was ready fro pickup.  Receptionist told me she would be ready in 30 minutes.  about one off ramp away Hosking called me and said he was so sorry but Shelby died of cardiac arrest.  That sometimes these deep chested animals heart drops.  That when he put her on her back she went into cardiac arrest.  He has refused to give me her medical and surgery records.  I hired an expert to do her necropsy.  The necropsy stated that Shelby had a very strong heart and was a healthy 6 month German Shepherd.  Hoskings also told me and also my daughter that he preformed CPR on her for an hour.  The necropsy states CPR was NEVER preformed.  He also stated that she passed when he turned her on her back.  The necropsy states that Shelby was already dead when he started the incision.  Because she would have bleed out external and internal.  There was no blood pumping because she was already deceased.  Hoskings obviously didn't monitor her not to even know she was in cardiac arrest.  She was so beautiful and I spent every moment with her unless she was on a play date with the Pet Whispers.  She was my best friend and we were bonded.  I would look at her an say and feel she was my best friend and I looked forward to growing old with her.  Hoskins took that away.  I never heard from him.  No condolence card or if I ever wanted her i.d. and collar back.  I wish I could turn back time.  I would have taken her to a different vet and I would still have my beautiful puppy.  A very bad man. I have been a patient (ok not me, my dogs) for over 12 years!!  He is one of the all time best Vets.  He is the "animal whisperer".  Yes, his appearance can be scary and no people manners but I would not trust my dogs to anyone else.  The BIG PROBLEM is getting through to make an appointment.  Today my dog was choking on mucous and sneezing uncontrollably.  I called and the very unpleasant Asian woman who always is at the front desk says to me please hold when I tell her its an urgent matter.  I was on hold 23 minutes and finally hung up!  I tried calling back but could not get through.  Ended up going elsewhere.  The font desk is his biggest issue!! OK I'm sure the staff must be tired of frustrated customers who are tired of waiting up to three hours to see a dr when they made an APPOINTMENT.  Seriously it's all about organization.  If they have 2 to 3 hour waits then wouldn't it make sense to rethink their scheduling or maybe don't put 4 people all at the same time when you know the vet takes 1/2 an hour per patient.  They do their business by volume and that may be OK for people who are there to just get shots or do wellness checks but when someone is there with a seriously sick animal and has to wait 3 hours even though you made an appointment well that causes serious distress.  And people get pissed and start screaming or storming out.  I would think as a business you would do anything to avoid this from happening.  Sometimes the front desk staff go and hide just to not deal with the customers.  I saw customers walk away without paying after waiting 20 minutes just to pay after their 3 hour wait to see the vet.The only real redeeming thing about this office is that they are very inexpensive.  And if you got time on your hands and buttloads of patience then you might be able to handle it.I had nothing really to do the day I came by but the stress of the other people around me got to me.  And if say I was taking time off of work to do this I would be flipping out.So they either need to learn how to schedule appointments better or hire more people which would ultimately probably make him raise his rates.  There are no deals in this world. Started with a 2 hour wait for the appointment. Then another 10 min in the room 2 min with Daniel, Dr Hoskings, then, with no comment or reason, he disappeared. Another 10 min before he returns to spend less than 5 min with my dog. Once again he leaves and I just assume the appointment is over. Unacceptable.The office is understaffed with the two vet techs also trying to manage the phones and reception desk. No office manager or even someone to make sure they was TP in the customer restroom. The spaces are dirty and dusty with overflowing countertops and outdated paper files, open and stacked on every available space.Dr Hosking seemed competent in the few minutes we saw him. He was gentle with my dog and answered my questions. But he was completely distracted and I'm not sure he ever knew who I was or why I brought my dog in (simple check up after adoption). He also looked unkempt and like he hadn't showered in days.The vet tech deserve a very positive shout out. They were working in chaotic conditions and yet were nothing but professional with the frustrated clients and gentle with each animal. I would guess there is high turnover as the tech find offices that value their very particular skills with appropriate tasks and pay.I had heard such good things about this vet and office that I was completely thrown by this horrible experience.If he hires additional staff (office manager, receptionist, techs, tech assistants), gets his files computerized, and cuts the wait time to 15 min or less, I might consider returning. On April 16, 2016,  I had an 11 AM appointment for my dog who has been seen by Dr. Hosking since 2012. After asking staff five times when we might be seen--AND after everybody in the waiting room had been called in except us -- we LEFT his office at 4:20 PM. The staff is so used to these long waits that they don't even apologize - they just expect you to deal with it. Dr. Hosking is great with pets, only so-so with humans. His prices are great. But waiting for over FIVE HOURS is inexcusable and my time is important too! Read Less

I love this Vet! He truly cares about the animals! I have 6 dogs and I bring them all here. There is a long wait but I know they are in great hands!!! I once had to take one of my dogs to Acacia because my vet was closed, I ended up bringing that same dog here to get fixed from the vet at Acacias negligence. The staff was curious but never saw the doctor, I brought in my small dog to be euthanized because she was suffering w labored breathing, dropped her off at 12:30pm was told they'd get on it right away, I came back at 7:15 and waited and waited for 30 min when they finally gave me her body, by the time I arrived home to bury her, I pulled her out of a plastic bag and she was warm in all her joint areas and body completely limped and eyes super glossy like they had just done it, I can't prove it but I think they let my dog suffer for almost 6 hours, cuz if they had put her down around 1:00PM when they said then her body should of been in complete rigor mortise... I like the Dr. Hoskings and his work and the pretty nurse with the green hair (name???) they were professional and very nice but that receptionist could use more training. They didn't go over anything I might need to do take care of my husky Sewell after her surgery getting spayed. Also near the end of work they would let the phone ring constantly so FYI phone rings or they put you on hold their ignoring you. Read Less

My dog had a lump in it's neck and the staff at the desk were really friendly and they scheduled me an appointment for Friday. When my dog was examined by Dr. Brian Hosking our dog had to have surgery. Dr. Hosking did the surgery that day and our dog is doing just great. Thank you Read Less

Worst wait time ever! They say that waiting over an hour is typical. No front desk staff to say sorry it'll be another 15. Customers wait in silence. Just awful service. Doc! Hire more help!! NEVER COME HERE!Appointment time 9 writing review at 952. Such a long wait time. No one has apologized or explanied the wait time delays. Very unprofessional. Just like a restaurant. The food shouldn't make up for the poor service. I already don't have much confidence in coming back here. IF I do I will make sure to come a day I block my entire day for this. Doc. Hire some more people!2nd visit for an infection. Ironically it's 52 after and appointment was an hour and 10 mins. Ago. I asked the front desk of this was typical and she said yes. No explanation and they seem embarrassed and don't look at customers in the eyes and once again don't apologize. I can't stress again that if you come here you need plenty of time to just sit here and wait. Just as unprofessional as the first time. This vet is excellent. My chihuahua had stopped eating for 4 days, took her to the hospital and was told she may have pancreatitis and was going to cost me a lot of $. I then took her to Dr Hoskings and he said she probably ate something that's stuck in her bowel. He recommended that I buy a burger from BK no sauce no onion just meat and bread. She ate it, pooped and was fine. I have 3 dogs that he cares for since 2009.Read Less

If you care for your pet stay away from this joint. This place has the rudest staff and the wait time is ridiculous. My appointment was sat at 10:45. Around noon I told the receptionist that I had been waiting a while. Her response "Oh well, there are people waiting since 9am". My dog was very sick so I decided to wait longer. I was called back around 1:45, the nurse took my dog's temperature and left me in the room for another 30min. I was so upset by this time that I went out to the reception area to complain but there was no one there. I couldn't do it anymore so I left with my sick dog. I will never ever come here again. This place is disgusting! The vet is worse than his unprofessional staff. Someone recommended the place because it was "cheap". Cheap is exactly what this place and staff are. We recommend Dr. Brian Hosking, because his prices are very reasonable and he never suggests procedures or lab work that your pet doesn't need.  He always takes the time to explain what is going on with your pet.  The rest of his staff is very helpful and while they are extremely busy they are still friendly and take the time to answer any questions you may have.  We have been very happy with the way he and his staff treat us and our pets. I came to Dr. Hoskins 8 years ago bases on a friend's recommendation. We was great at that time. Fortunately I haven't had to bring my pets to the vet much in the years since. But I recently needed to bring my cat in for what turned out to be allergies. This experience has caused me to start looking for a new vet.First my appointment was at 10:15. At 11:50 I was shown into an exam room and at 12:25 Dr. Hoskins finally came in to see my cat. It was a 45 minute exam with the recommendation for lab work that will cost $110. I was told to call back Monday morning for the results. I called and was put on hold for 10 minutes only to be told they don't have the results and to call back later. I called back later and was put on hold for 25 minutes only to be told the doctor was too busy to talk to me, to call back later. I told them I didn't have time to keep calling back only to be put on hold,  to have Dr. Hoskins call me back when he's available. But if I don't hear back I will dispute the Visa charge for the lab work. (Needles to say by this point I was frustrated over their complete disrespect and disregard for my time and efforts to help my cat). I waited until the end of the day on Monday and didn't hear anything. I waited until the end of the day on Tuesday, still nothing.I called my bank and was setting up to dispute the $110 charge. They conference called to the vets office and said they were trying to resolve the situation before they disputed the charge. Suddenly Dr. Hoskins had time to talk to me! Wow! First thing he says is "Why are you trying to extort from me." No, no sir. It is you who extorted $110 from me. After confirming with my bank if he have me the lab results they would let the charge go through, he was only too happy to go over them with me. But not before dramatically saying to someone "The emergency will have to stay alive until I'm done in the phone". (That's always their excuse, don't fall for it. They'll say there's an emergency even when there's not).Conclusion, I got my lab results, he got his $110, and a new vet got a new customer. Read Less

Ever since my aunt recommended Dr. Hosking to us around 5 years ago, my family no longer sees any other vets. Our 4 year old golden had been very ill and 3 different licensed veterinarians at a major chain of pet stores/pet hospitals had no idea what was wrong with him. As a result, we ran up a fairly substantial bill. Within 30 seconds of seeing our dog and looking at the test results, he correctly diagnosed skin cancer that had spread to his internal organs. Apparently an obvious blemish on one of his eyes was a cancerous sarcoma, yet this was overlooked by other vets. Unfortunately we had to put Jack to sleep, but now I don't worry as much when our dogs have health issues because Dr. Hosking has proved himself to be extremely competent over the years.As if peace of mind and a high level of customer satisfaction weren't enough, when I compared the invoices for every service and treatment at Dr. Hosking's office to our previous vets, he was consistently significantly less expensive. I've only ever brought dogs to Dr. Hosking, so I can't speak to his skill with other animals, but there isn't a single doubt in my mind that he's equally competent with other animals as well. He's definitely an animal person, my dogs always love to see him!The only "downside" to going to him is that his appointment book fills up quickly for non-emergency appointments, but that's really just a testimony to his skill and prices. He also has a shot clinic with discounted vaccines after 3pm one day a week (Wednesday, I think). It's a great way to avoid the wait for the Dr. Hosking when you just need a veterinary tech to administer the vaccine. Read Less
