I board my dog here regularly as well as vet checkups. The old owner was a bit pushy on offering services but the new owner is great. No complaints here, they're always nice to me and my dog doesn't...
I board my dog here regularly as well as vet checkups. The old owner was a bit pushy on offering services but the new owner is great. No complaints here, they're always nice to me and my dog doesn't seem to mind getting boarder here.

The new Cornerstone Integrative Veterinary Hospital has replaced the old Northbay Animal Hospital, and the change is quite wonderful. Dr. Hansson has a warm touch and knowledgeable approach to all things veterinary. The facility is newly remodeled, pleasant and patient friendly. The staff is first rate and really seem to care about the pets. In addition to all of the traditional/western veterinary medical modalities, they have accupuncture, laser therapy, and physical therapy/massage.

The "pet dentist" who offers "free" dental check-up service on Tuesdays is a quack job. He briefly checked my pugs back teeth, w/o tools (e.g. a tiny mirror) diagnosed mild dental disease; after wait...
The "pet dentist" who offers "free" dental check-up service on Tuesdays is a quack job. He briefly checked my pugs back teeth, w/o tools (e.g. a tiny mirror) diagnosed mild dental disease; after waiting for 15-18 mins, I ws shoved me a $700+ bill worth of expenses to be had (e.g. examinations, necessary shots, various forms of anesthetic, etc.). Last month, they had me pay $450 for a line of shots that were deemed "necessary" at the time, to follow-up with. I feel that they are money-grubbing hounds! Now that I think back, my pug has been subjected to roughly 10-12 shots, more or less this past yr alone. Whats more they show no affection for your pet (i.e. my family have been "pet patients" for about 7-8 years) and this was the last straw.

Board your dog and come back to a bill with lots of extras tagged on. This is the second time this has occurred to us - and the last. We were specific about what we wanted - boarding and a bordetella vaccine - they decided to throw in rabies and DA2PP - and had the nerve to tell us later that they "aren't mind readers". Dr. George Walters has no clue about customer service or following instructions.
