My sister has been taking our family cat here every since we got him. We had all his initial vaccines here, along with a check-up, and baths. The previous visits seemed fine and the staff were friendly, however, the experience from the last visit ensured that we will not be returning. My sister brought our cat in for his last set of vaccines, and also decided that he should also get a bathing service. The bathing service there was said to include the bath, nail trimming, and ear cleaning. The staff in the front informed her that our cat might not dry in time and might be a little wet when we pick him up, which we were totally okay with because it's really not that big of a deal if he's still a little damp. We got him in at around 4 PM and the business closes at 7 PM. We got a phone call around 6:30 to pick him up, and when we picked him up, he was pretty wet, which, again, was totally fine with us. We also asked for flea medication to be applied onto him during the visit too, but because he was still wet, they sent him home with the flea medicine. That is totally understandable and we are more than happy to apply the medication on him once he's dried. So, my sister left the establishment happy and satisfied that we have our little baby back nice and fresh from the bath and everything seemed well. When she got home, I discovered that his nails were NOT trimmed. First of all, as a business, this is completely unacceptable to charge a customer for a service that was not done. Wouldn't you be mad if you go to a hair salon, paid for a haircut and wash, then coming home to a head of uncut hair? Secondly, I am more aggravated by the fact that they forgot to trim his nails more so than his nails not being trimmed. I can easily trim his nails, so thats not the issue. The issue is: 1. I paid for the service, so I should get the service and 2. I do not trust leaving my precious cat at an establishment with unprofessional and forgetful employees. This really made me think to myself, did he even got his full set of vaccines during his visits? What if they also "forgot" to vaccinate him during his previous visits, and now he's walking around with missing vaccines that can potential kill him? Did we even get an ear cleaning that was promised? Probably not. I'm just no longer comfortable handing my kitty over to a forgetful staff. My sister called them right away to informed them about his nails not being trimmed and their solution to the problem is to bring him back and also a discount on the next bathing service. The next day, we were about to bring him back, but at the sight of the carrier, he moaned and ran away. We came to the conclusion that it was also just going to be a waste of our time and unnecessary stress on the kitty to bring him back to this place just for a nail trim. As for the discount on the next bath? No, thank you! I am definitely taking my cat to a different pet hospital where I don't have to worry about whether or not my cat received the service or not.
