I've never been to St. Francis Pet Clinic but I have had the pleasure of meeting and having my kitties meet Dr. Morgan when he used to sub on Sundays at my vet's office in Port Hueneme. I agree with other commenters. Dr. Morgan is the most calm person I have ever met and he puts the most nervous pet at ease by talking sweetly to them before and while examining. He's truly a pet whisperer and he has a great bedside manner. I love the vets and the rest of the staff at my neighborhood vet (Channel Islands Veterinary) and I've always loved the hospital's great hours (open all day on both weekend days!) but I'm jealous of you Santa Barbara people for having Dr. Morgan all to yourselves. Quality veterinary care for our beloved pets is such a great thing to find! Read Less

Dr. Kellye Harmon is THE BEST. I took my golden retriever to St. Francis and Dr. Harmon for 6 years...from the time she was a puppy. They have handled all kinds of issues for me and my Maddie girl - minor and major and I have complete trust in this vet. In addition to Dr. Harmon, the entire staff is so professional and kind -- from Michelle the mgr/owner to all the techs & assistants -- all so great. For any need big or small I highly recommend St. Francis! Read Less

Dr. Morgan is by far the best vet I have been to. Very experienced and knowledgeable. He won't recommend unnecessary diagnostics, understands financial limitations, but also genuinely cares and wants the best treatment for your pet. He is also really good with our dog who usually fears and dislikes the vet. When my dog tore a ligament, I was looking at over $10,000 in surgery. I decided to take her to Dr. Morgan to get his opinion before proceeding. He told my that while surgery is an option, it was not guaranteed to work, and his opinion was that she would make close to a full recovery with medicine and a bit of physical therapy and he was right. He didn't even insist on x-rays (which wouldn't make sense, because it was clearly soft tissue, but nearly EVERY other vet would have insisted on this unnecessary cost). She has since recovered well and I am so glad I didn't get an unnecessary surgery that might have actually hurt her in the long run. When my same "special" dog had an issue with her eye, Dr. Morgan was very quick to tell us that this was outside of his area of expertise and refer us to a specialist. I really appreciated that he didn't recommend a bunch of diagnostics before doing this (there are many other vets who would), and that he didn't try to pretend he had expertise he didn't. Overall I have never found a vet my dogs and I trust more. I know that whatever Dr. Morgan recommends, I will likely do, because I have that much trust in him. Read Less

I had a fantastic experience here. My interactions with the staff and the veterinarian were very straightforward. The vet was thoughtful in addressing my concerns and questions, and the staff were honest about what treatments/vaccines might be necessary vs. not. Overall, I had a great experience here. Most importantly, the staff obviously cared about my pet's comfort and care, which is a major plus. Read Less

We have been taking our pets to St francis for almost 12 years. We have two cats and two dogs that live very healthy lives. We are fortunate to have many choices in Santa Barbara for good Vets. We appreciate St Francis because even though it is sometimes more than 6 months between visits they still remember us and our pets and seem very connected an loving. I have had bad experiences with some emergency clinics that are no longer in business here in town and I know what it feels like to leave a loved one with people you need to trust. I can tell you that I have no reservations leaving our pets there for treatment or anything and I would probably not even trust my neighbor to watch them so there is that. If you are looking for a vet Clinic for your loved ones that you want to develop a relationship with and trust I think you can't ask for much more. Read Less

St. Francis Pet Clinic is the best vet office we could ever hope for! We heard about them through word of mouth from two very happy clients (cats AND dogs). When my husband and I adopted a puppy back in 2015, we brought her here. From the minute we walked in, we knew that she would be well taken care of. The puppy package, which is all the vaccines and necessary puppy visits is quite affordable. All the members of the staff are friendly, and loving towards all the animals. Our pup has seen Dr. Harmon and Dr. Oliver and she has a great experience with both! READ THIS IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET, THIS IS BACKED BY EVIDENCE I POSSESS. As a result of a fraudulent entry in my dogs chart, an early morning search warrant was performed on my home, my dogs were stolen from me by police, I've been charged with a felony and I've been fighting a case for 9 months. I also haven't seen my 2 dogs in as long, dogs that are registered to me, AKC papered to me, microchipped to me and I possess the receipts to these dogs. They called me in 2014 to ask if my exwife could be authorized to make medical decisions for my dog without me and to this I agreed. They took it pain themselves to remove my name from the medical chart and now claim that when we spoke I have up ownership of my dogs, no recording, no written consent, no release form AND the entry in my dogs chart allegeding I gave my dogs away  over the phone has no indication as to who made the entry. When questioned, St Francis told me they suspected who wrote  it but when questioned, this mysterious person had no recollection of having such a discussion with me. I brought all of this to their attention and have them a chance to correct their mistake, producing multiple documents proving undeniable ownership do my dogs and they refused. This has ruined close to a year I my life and I have been without my dogs since August 11, I didn't even gt to say bye. All as a result of a fraudulent entry in my dogs chart, and a letter written by St Francis staff, without anything close to enough information to make such an assessment, they incorrectly claimed my dogs To be owned by another person and refused to help when brought to their attention. The veterinary board will be noticed and further action will be taken regarding this matter. Look me up if you want proof. Read Less

Our canine family and Rescue Dogs have had the pleasure of being clients at SFPC since 2015. Our Veterinarian, Adrienne Oliver, DVM, is absolutely superb in every way. She is compassionate, gentle, uses a "fear-free" approach in handling both family pets as well as terrified/often abused Rescue Dogs with behavioral disorders. Dr. Oliver's competence and current knowledge base are very obvious, yet she is open to reviewing information and is very collaborative with Owners. The staff at SFPC are also top-notch. All are kind, friendly, gentle, remember their clients and greet them by name. From Receptionist to RVT to Practice Management and other Veterinarians, I have been consistently impressed (and would add that I am knowledgeable, current on literature, and am NOT an easy client to impress!). I am giving St. Francis one star because you have to in order to write a review. This is absolutely the worst Veterinarian, Dr. Morgan, with the worst techs. First of all, they charge too much. My dog had an ear infection that would not go away. We put the drops prescribed in her ears and it didn't help. We took her back and he looked in her ears again and could see they were bright red and he still just told us to put the drops in every day. At this point the dog was scared because her ears hurt so bad and would hide in her crate from us when we tried to put them in. We asked if we brought her everyday if the techs or dr. Morgan could do it. They laughed and said no as our dog yelped and cried in the room. They labeled her vicious because she was so scared that she tried to nip one of them. Had they not let her ears get so out of control, none of this would have ever happened. We took her to another vet finally who knew what they were doing and they packed her ears with medicine and after about a month she is finally okay but now permanently traumatized to go to any vet. Dr. Morgan does not care about the well being of the animals. Read Less

Coming from another highly-regarded Veterinary practice in Santa Barbara which had undergone substantial enlargement and a subsequent and alarming decline in quality of care, I was referred to St. Francis by several trusted sources. Arriving there was like a breath of fresh air. THEY CARED. They remembered my name, and the names of all of my animals (even my Rescues and Fosters!). Adrienne Oliver, D.V.M. is a top-notch Veterinarian, expert, professional and oh so kind. Rick Morgan, D.V.M. performed a complex surgical procedure on one of our Rescue Dogs under time constraints, doing an outstanding, safe and cosmetically appealing job with a perfect outcome and no sequelae. Persnickety and possibly over-informed as my family is (!) Dr. Oliver has been more than willing to review professional literature with us and patiently answer our myriad of questions. Staff Melanie, Susie, Kaylor, Michelle (and everyone we've met) have all been just wonderful and also expert in their respective fields. We can't recommend them highly enough. I followed Dr. Adrienne Oliver to this clinic from White's, which felt too busy to me.  At St. Francis, several of the techs know my dogs personally and are always delighted to see us.  They promptly fill out the Therapy Dog Certification form annually for my Daisy Mae too, who volunteers at Cottage Hospital.  I have two pitties and my 6 year old boy recently started limping.  Within minutes, Dr. Oliver (correctly!) assessed that he had torn his cruxiate ligament.  After x rays confirmed that her diagnosis was correct & I considered surgery, he followed that up by tearing his meniscus about a week later.  Two weeks ago he had TPLO surgery at Advanced Veterinary Specialists, whom I selected after Dr. Oliver recommended their surgeon.  Dr. Oliver is the best!  (Just ask Daisy Mae & TyTy)I met Dr. Oliver years ago because my mom has an 11 year old male Siamese cat who was the runt of his litter and has had myriad health issues.  HIs biggest is allergies so bad that his eyes scab over and he loses the fur around them.  Dr. Oliver took the time (months) it took to figure out his issues.  Turns out he's allergic to grass, pollen and (drum roll please).... cats! My cat was declawed 9 years ago before I adopted her. She has always had a chronic irritation with her one of her paws. But, one morning I woke up to find an extremely bloody/highly infected paw which is not a normal situation. It looked like a tiny hand grenade went off in her paw. I took her to the emergency vet and they let me know that I would need to find a vet for the possibility of surgery. I am new to Santa Barbara so they gave me a list of suggestions and one was St Francis. When I first arrived the Vet met me and immediately took my cat to the back room to take off her bandage that the Animal Hospital supplied. They brought her back with a new bandage so I was not able to see the progress or lack of that was happening with the infected paw. They advised me to come back in a week to check out the infection and get another bandage change. When I brought her back the second time they told me she would need surgery and to bring her back a THIRD time to get the bandage changed AGAIN and talk specifics of the surgery. I didn't understand why we couldn't talk specifics there and now after the second bandage change since the vet told me it was needed.  Especially given the fact that my cat was in pain and coming back every week in hopes that it didn't  get even more infected seemed like a high-risk situation. At the second bandage change they told they could perform the surgery, but I would have to wait and ENTIRE MONTH due to the fact that they were extremely busy with a teeth cleaning promotion. They then proceeded to tell me that I would need to come in every week until the surgery to get her bandage changed. I challenged the vet/office staff on this and talked about priority here and rearranging schedules to meet the needs of my cat that was in pain. They wouldn't budge. From there I decided this was not the place for me as they were not proactive and aggressive enough for the treatment of my cat. I simply was not a priority to them. The next day I went to a different place/vet in SB. The vet there took one look at her paw and told me she needed surgery there and now! The vet at the clinic was shocked to hear that St Francis was pushing this surgery a month out because it was infected and she was in serious pain. 10 days later St Francis called me to see if my cat was coming in in 20 days for her BLOOD WORK! Not even the actual surgery!!!! My mind was blow by this call. Shows that they have no idea what is going on with their clients and that there is a lack of communication occurring in that office. Net, if they are busy and have a teeth-cleaning promo going on - RUN FOR THE HILLS.It really felt like they were in the business of making quick money (ie: teeth promo) and not helping animals that are in need. They kept trying to put me off and wanted me to come in every week to drop $50 for bandage change + antibiotics. I wanted a quick solution for my cat that was in pain. She was suffering. This is not a solution oriented place. They also did a very poor job on discussing the specifics of the issue at hand. I would never go back to this place. My cat is fully recovered from the surgery and back to her usual self. It is crazy to think that she would still be in pain/disoriented and this wouldn't have been resolved until May or June. Read Less

Read Less

Read Less

Read Less

Read Less
