Very friendly and knowledgeable staff!They always have openings and openings for emergencies. They have worked with me as I am low income. When My dog was hurt and needed urgent surgery, my veterinarian was wonderful; I got same day service to exame and the surgery was performed that same day. Moreover, their prices aren't outrageous but very affordable. I wasnt able to afford the entire surgery but I was allowed to be on a payment plan. I really love this place, and I highly recommend it. AHC, Dr. Bains, Dr. Prabhdeep and staff have all been so great to me and my animals. I've been going to AHC for YEARS, when Dr. Larson used to own it.  When Dr. Bains took over,  he made it a point to study my dog and his file to get to know his delicate/special needs issues.  Since seeing Dr. Bains, my dog has been taken off of certain meds that were not needed, thus giving him a better quality of life.  He makes sure that whatever my dogs current ailment is that he carefully evaluates the situation and then based off his findings, makes sound decisions to proceed with caution due to his his special needs issues.  I've never been doubtful of Dr. Bains and trust him 100% with the care of my animals.  One of the things I appreciated about Dr. Bains when first getting to know him and his style, was how well educated he is about his profession, as well as his passion behind it -- it shows!  That absolutely transfers through to the patient and clients.  I recommend AHC/Dr. Bains 100% and always tell my friends to go there. Dr. Bain's is the best! My dog had a cough for over a year that no one could figure out. I took my little beagle to 4 other veterinarian's before finding Dr. Bains. He diagnosed her right away and didn't do any unnecessary tests like the previous doctors. He is a great doctor and very compassionate. You can see he cares about his patients and not just the money. My dog landed wrong, made a yelp and then was limping the rest of the day. On a Sunday, I didn't know where to take her and was weary of the kind of care, and cost involved.  After doing some research, Animal Health Center seemed to be the best choice based on Location, business hours, and the online reviews.   My initial experience was welcoming with the front staff, and it only got better.  The rooms were large and warm with a nice seating area.  When Dr. Bain came in to examine my dog, he got down on the floor to greet my dog and to ensure that my dog was comfortable,  he asked the nurse to bring in a large cushion to place my dog on so she's comfortable while he examined her. After a couple of necessary X-rays, it was very obvious of the fractured in her leg.  The doctor was very upfront with the costs associated with the treatment plan which was very reasonable.  Since it was obvious that her leg was fractured, the doctor recommended it was no longer necessary to expedite the radiologist report, which reduced the cost even more.  The following day, Dr. Bain did a follow up call checking up on how things were going. We've since had a total of 4 appointments, and each time, we were very happy with the service and care from Dr. Bain and his staff.   I was very impressed with all the staff's professionalism and how everyone truly cared for the well being of my dog.   Very relieved we found such a caring and hardworking Doctor like Dr. Bain and his staff. I have always brought all my pets to this facility for over 20 years. The new owner Dr. Bains and the staff are supportive and sincere in the care they give to my pets. They have very reasonable rates compared to other Vets. The office hours on weekdays and weekends makes it easier to get my pets proper healthy care for both routine and emergencies.I went in recently for an emergency with cat Buddy and they were all very quick to get him examined, run tests and start treatment.  They have given us great care while we figure out what is wrong with my sweet boy Buddy! We even had a family, his brother Domino, visit while buddy was hospitalized. They let us stay as long as we wanted. Such amazing staff who understands that pets are family! Read Less

What a complete and utter scam this place is...I'll start off with the RUDE assistance, she was such a rude biotch. There were 2 girls but one of them was a sweetheart (can't recall any names but the sweet one had two cute little buns in her hair)the rude one slammed her clipboard down on the counter in the exam room bc she got upset that i didn't want to sign the estimated list of all the tests that my dog all of a sudden needed. She started huffing and buffing when I asked her to make a copy of it for me. It wasn't only the angry assistant that rubbed me the wrong way, the Doctor had no bedside manners. I got a strange vibe from him ...I don't know this for a fact, but I honestly feel that they were scamming me out of money and misdiagnosing my dog with possible  "pancreatitis" just so they could run a bunch of tests that way they could make money off of their "Free New Patient Consultation". I originally went in for a teeth cleaning consult and a renewal for his eye med, but ended up with tears in my eyes thinking my dog was dying! He pushes on my 12lb dogs stomach (hard) and says to me, "see, do you hear that? He whimpers when I press on his stomach". Well, no crap he whimpers, I would too if you pushed on my stomach that hard. Then he sticks his finger up his butt and when he removed it, he sees there is only poop with  NO blood, so then he goes for it again, this time he really must of went up there far bc my dog let out a huge cry, and this time, surprise-surprise, there was a little blood. After all this BS, I ended up running out in tears, not knowing what to do..I didn't want my dog to die but I also did not trust them with my poor little guy, either. I made the decision to wait until Monday so I could take him in to his original vet. It's been about 2 1/2 hours since his appt and Mojo is as happy as can be, running around playing, eating and wagging his tail. He doesn't seem to be in pain like the doc suggested he was. Our little kitten has been sick since Saturday (5 days now). The only thing as awful as seeing him not well has been being rushed by doctors at other facilities (a certain chain found in pet stores) who just want to see as many patients as possible. Dr. Bain was thorough, helpful, and kind in the way he checked out our little guy and explained to us our options. The hours are great as are the service and prices. I needed an oral flea and tick medication for my dog. I found great prices online but they all require a vet prescription. The Health Center was willing to take into account the online medication prices when calculating the cost of an exam and medication purchases for our dog. I appreciated this greatly as I have been to many clinics and vet care is super expensive. Besides the vaccination clinics at Petco, this is the first visit I've had to a vet for my dog where I left thinking I received a decent value. Read Less

My dog has gone to this office for a checkup, to get neutered and been boarded there for a weekend. The staff are all very friendly and the doctor I saw was very relaxed and tries to connect with my dog to understand how he is feeling. He doesn't push for unnecessary medicine or procedures. After my dog got neutered, they did not give me clear instructions on what to do next. I think they were busy and understaffed that night, but they just gave me my dog, charged me for the operation, and said goodnight. When my dog stayed there over the weekend, I got the feeling that he did not get a lot of exercise, because he came back very hyper. It could be that he missed me a lot and was just very happy that I was alive, but he had a lot of energy. Overall, I would recommend this place for a vet, but go somewhere else to board your dog. I've been taking my cats there for 20+ years. They have always taken awesome care of my babies and work with you if you can't afford things. They put animals first and do everything possible to heal them. They are not perfect and have left biopsy stuff out and didn't send to the lab as they said. However, whenever something like that happens they are extremely sorry and do whatever is possible to rectify things. It doesn't happen often. Some of the techs are awesome and a few have attitudes. The Dr's are very knowledgeable and do a great job explaining things. Sometimes the language barrier is a problem because it can be hard to understand them and hard for them to explain things properly. Overall it is a great place to take your animals. Read Less

They never reply emails. When i call, all they say is they are not responsible for this issue and have to get back to me later, which obviously never happens. I haven't been into my appointment yet, but I just got off the phone from creating an appointment and they were just so helpful and caring and very very nice. They're open till 9PM on weekdays though which is a life saver due to my work! Will update after going there and seeing the vet.Update:They were really kind and caring there. My dog came in with a fever and vaginal infection and they were prompt about seeing her, getting her antibiotics and a checkup the next day. We have been taking Maddie to Dr Bains since we brought her home.  Most of our visits had been routine check ups until a couple days ago.  Maddie had thrown up stomach bile and was having diarrhea with blood in it.  I'm a little bit of a worried puppy parent.  Dr. Bains was amazing totally made me feel like he cared for my puppy and I left in tears, happy tears! Unlike other vet clinics where they make your pet go through so many unwanted tests , this place was different . The doctor was spot on finding my pets condition . If I could give Dr. Bains and his team more stars I would. I brought my dog, Oreo, in yesterday with a mild ear infection and a fever (or so I thought). Dr. Bains was very gentle with Oreo because she tends to be shy of new people at first. After taking a look in her ear he did notice some inflammation and build up. As far as the fever it was just an elevated temperature due to her being really excited. He flushed out her ear and we went home feeling good about the visit. As soon as Oreo was home and relaxed her temperature was normal again.Oreo is a 2 1/2 y/o spayed female Terrier Mix who has had chronic help problems her entire life. We have been to countless vets trying to find one who is well priced and compassionate. I think we found the right one by coming here. She has been here twice so far and is having a much better attitude about it each time. Read Less

My sisters dog was involved in a hit and run accident and suffered a broken leg (he's currently in a splint). We were desperate to get Rocky taken care of ASAP as of course, he's in severe pain and suffering. My sister brought Rocky in and they did another X-ray on him and found that he also has a fractured leg and proceeded to tell her she would have to put a $1000 down payment right then and there, otherwise they would not do the surgery. It's mind boggling to me that a veterinarian clinic would refuse an animal that's clearly suffering bc of money. AND they don't accept payment plans. This place clearly does not legitimately care for animals and I would never recommend anyone to this place. My sister is now forced to do research on vets that will accept payment plans and Rocky is paying the price for it. Beyond upset about this Read Less

Our sweet chow Wendy turns 16 this January, and she was in the care of Animal Health Center ever since we adopted her back in 2000. Although the medical team went through many changes along the years, Wendy always received excellent care and we, as parents, learned a lot from the medical staff. Most recently, Dr Baines explained us how Wendy's seasonal allergies and skin problems can be prevented, rather than having them treated with steroids every 3-4 months. Following Dr Baines' advice, during the past year Wendy had no more allergy problems and now she has a fluffy golden coat. I have been taking my dog here for the past 10 years because of the convenient location & ease of getting appointments. I have seen this business change ownership and veterinarians over the years. I liked the first vet, who is now retired. The last group that ran it was not as helpful- put my dog through surgery and drained a cyst instead of removing it and it grew back as expected. Now we have put him through another surgery- planning elsewhere with a specialty surgery center. Since then, new ownership has moved in offering some promotional cost savings so I am going to give them another chance.Read Less

Love everyone here on staff. From the Vet to the techs everyone loves your pet as if they were their own. I recently had an issue with my dog ingesting a potentially toxic substance by accident and they got me in right away and were so kind to me as I was a blubbering mess. They explained my treatment options and I never felt like they were trying to extort money out of me during the process. They wanted to do as much as possible to help my pup without doing unnecessary or extra costly procedures to bump up the cost, something I've experienced other places. They have great extended hours so I don't have to take off work to see the dr. Can't say enough about the wonderful care all 3 of my dogs have received there.Read Less

Great staff both morning and night! Our dog must have ingested something he shouldn't have and vomited to the point of fainting. I called our regular vet at 4:30pm and they would not see him since they we're closing in 30 minutes. I told them I was only 5 minutes but the answer was still no. Long story short, I found Animal Health Center only a few minutes away and they open until 9pm! If you're a family that needs to have appointments after work hours, this is the place for you. I always get great service and they're great with my pup. The doctor is very caring. He always performs a mini exam regardless of why I bring my dog in (and doesn't charge extra). I noticed my shih tzu mix pet was having a pretty bad rash tonight and it was past 8pm.  Most pet hospital close around 5pm.  Animal Health Center closes at 9pm which was very convenient for me.  I called them up and ask if they can take me in.  I spoke to the receptionist Brieanna and she told me that they were closing soon but willing to take me in the last minute.  I arrived was greeted.  The veterinarian P. Bains examine my pet.  He gave my dog the treatment she needs and the process was painless.  I really appreciated that animal health center took me in the last minute.  10 stars.......... Read Less
