Ridiculously overpriced for how little they offer and what they're capable of. Didn't perform basic functions like taking a temperature. Their knowledge is limited and often wrong. An animal I had went from healthy to needing to be euthanized in a span of 3 days. I went to a professional clinic and got more information in several hours then I ever did here. If you're pet needs medication, you can come here, it'll be ridiculously overpriced, but you go here. If it's anything else, they won't be able to do as well ,or at all, as a professional.

I have had several bad experiences and do NOT suggest this place at all!
One time I brought my German Shepherd in to be put to sleep and I brought her blanket which I told them to wrap around her when they brought her out to me and they absolutely devastated and angered me when they brought my dog out in a TRASH BAG! and the other girl was holding the blanket in her hands, then they just THREW my dog in the back of my car like it was trash when this is my baby! I called and spoke to a supervisor who's excuse was that the staff becomes more "calloused" because they have to deal with it often. I don't care what reason or what excuse, don't EVER treat somebody's baby like it's a piece of trash!
Another time I brought my little dog in because he had a hard time peeing and had little stones that needed to be removed, but was otherwise healthy. This vet had the nerve to tell me that it was $4000 upfront for the surgery and when I explained I didn't have that his suggestion was to either leave my dog that way (in pain) or to put him to euthanize him! Are you kidding me! I went down to another vet who only charged me $1500 for same surgery. The sad thing is if I hadn't checked with another vet and had not been knowledgeable like some other people, somebody may have put their dog to sleep or left it in pain unnecessarily because of this doctor and I just didn't find the staff as friendly as other places. So I would definitely NOT recommend this place.

Thats just the business side of things.. you can imagine the attitude that accompanies this ideology.. example # 1 . took management a week to call back # 2. i had to schedule and contact for a follow-up visit #3. When management called back she stated" i dont have time for this" and hung -up...I simply believe if i pay for a service .. that I should receive it . and if you fail you should offer to fix without cost..or a refund.I dont think that makes me the butt of some joke.. but this place has succeeded in treating me as such .. do what you want this info .many times in smaller companies the ladder is small and so the system of checks and balances that keeps protocols inline doesn't get administered on a broad scale...in short , i am sure some people get great service here.. but that is largely subjective , and not a mass; I want small businesses to do well... but when , where , and how is this sort of behavior justified? I may not be nice or cute.. but i always speak truth and only present the facts

The vets are great, no problems. The young ladies who answer the phone/run the appointment desk, etc., are POOR representatives of their employers. Rude and abrupt. I'll leave it at that.

We have had to say goodbye to several of our dogs, and the staff has always been nothing but kind, professional and caring.
Sorry to others that have had bad experiences--it just simply has not been the case for us.

I realize everyone has a different experience. A wonderful dog of ours had a massive stroke seven years ago. We all agreed the best for her was to put her down. They were extremely kind and sympathetic, giving me as much time with her as I needed.
A few years later another dog of ours was hit buy a car, and broke her pelvis. The vets helped keep her alive until we could get her to a major vet surgery location in Ventura.
My experiences with Saugus Animal Hospital have been excellent.

I realize everyone has a different experience. A wonderful dog of ours had a massive stroke seven years ago. We all agreed the best for her was to put her down. They were extremely kind and sympathetic, giving me as much time with her as I needed.
