The wait isn't too bad and the vet saw my dog (I was dog sitting) and knew what was wrong right away which was nice. They gave us estimates of different treatments we can do at different prices. You choose which one you're okay with and go from there. Very unfortunate that there are hardly any Vets left in this valley that are worth anything. Just greedy mills. Mostly Indian "Doctors" that create "Centers" or "Hospitals". Had an older cat (17) that had ingrown claws. (Not uncommon) I checked before how this can be treated. Requires cutting the nails and pulling and disinfecting the part that has grown in. Did not feel like doing this myself or entrusting a groomer with the job. Hence, went to this Vet. Job done. $ 200 !!!The Doctor would have me spend even more for unnecessary blood work if I would have agreed. Cat had 2 bandages, which were to be removed few days later. The bandages lasted about 5 minutes at home. Cat just shook them off. (Highly professional). Was given Antibiotics, (which can be useful) and painkiller tablets. Try making a cat eat that !Checked with another, out of town, Vet on the phone and his first reaction was: "That drives the price up".No wonder I could not get an itemized bill, but just a receipt.I cannot recommend this Vet. Just another mill. Read Less

Glad we never set foot in this animal hospital. They way I was treated over the phone was absolutely unprofessional and rude. I wanted to clarify  if a vet was in and able to see my sick dog because when my husband called two minutes ago he was told the vet couldn't see my dog and referred us out to Woodland Hills! When I called another lady told me to bring her right in. Yvette is the rude employee there that sounded like she was just woke up and raised her voice at me saying that she didn't care what I had to say. If that's the kind of service that I will receive if I bring in my dog in then NEVERMIND! Here's a tip..... don't keep employees there that don't want to be there and represent your company in a heartless way. Your customers go to you and expect compassion when dealing with their sick animals. Last thing we want to deal with is a person like Yvette. Read Less

I took my 9 year old Lab to a few vets on the day she got attacked by another dog. Only to be told they couldn't handle her. My dog hates the vet and try's to bite. I rescued her at 2 years old. She had to have had a terrible experience at a vet as a puppy. Dr Harry took her in and handled her. She was so fearful and so was I. They were able to sedate her without any problems. The entire staff works so well together. That's the reason I give them 5 stars. *****. I have wanted to take her to the vet for 3 years and was unable to because vets want little dogs that wag their tails and all is good. I did notice the night shift to be more compassionate with the animals coming in. People need to realize we pay their salary. It takes less time and effort to be nice than be snippy!  God bless dr Harry. Cali loves you. Read Less

My son's sweet little dog, Duchess, received excellent care needed yesterday morning when she was bit by a rattlesnake. Testing was done to confirm the snakebite and anti venom was administered immediately. Her blood was already clotting and grateful for the veterinary team that saved this little dog!  The updates on her condition were much appreciated and I think the happiness is expressed on her little face in the photo when her daddy came to check on her. Our pup was bitten by a baby diamondback rattle snake in our backyard.  We rushed him to the vet and they acted so quickly with the meds and anti venom. Everyone was so loving, patient and knowledgeable. They kept us calm and informed and allowed us to stay with him. They were even conscious of our expenses. It was a very scary night. Our dog is now home resting and responding to treatment thankfully !! 1. Get the rattle snake vaccine -it saved our small dog. 2. One of the only places in Southern California that offers the Newcastle Distemper Treatment. They saved our rescue dog, Charlotte's, life! It's an absolute miracle she's alive today! She would have never made it if it wasn't for the Newcastle Serum and the care she received at Valencia. Today she is a completely different dog-beautiful, healthy and very happy The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of the possible miscommunication between staff members when I picked her up at 11PM. I asked when the last time was that she was walked since we had a 2 hour drive ahead of us. They told me accordingly to notes in her chart, her last walk was around 6 or 7 AM! 16 hours?! She was in isolation, in a crate, behind a solid closed door in a small room. That's a very long time for her to have to be alone in a crate without a chance to stretch her legs and go potty. But-she is alive today because of the medical care she received from Valencia and staff. We are beyond grateful for that. Thank youRead Less

Unfortunately I did not read the reviews before coming here due to an emergency or else I would have saved a fair amount of money and my dog a lot of pain.My dog was bit in the neck by a larger dog and needed a few stitches. after the girls took my dog to the back, they came back giggling with some guy in his early 30's and once they settled down the Dr told me he examined my dog and found out that she has a laceration to her neck.. This was not only obvious but was also the only thing, "The so called DR", got right that night. He offered to stitch her up now and send her on her way or put her on IV till the morning and stitch her up then. I said I would wait for her, so he took her back to perform the quick operation. After a few minutes I heard my dog screaming at the top of her lungs so I ran back in the back room to find them holding her down a bloody mess, when she wasn't really bleeding in the first place. He then stated "this doesn't look good, this is more severe then I thought it was, we should wait till the Dr gets here in the morning." It all made sense at that moment that he wanted to put her on IV just to stall till someone qualified came in the following morning. They also wanted to double the bill if she would have stayed from 2 am till the 6 am Dr came in. Long story short, we had to ask for a refund and take our dog to another 24 vet in SCV or else our dog could have been another sad outcome due to negligence. The next place fixed her up in 40 minutes, charged us a fraction of the price, and our dog was on her way. To top it off, the next day I saw they only refunded me $13 out of $486. Read Less

Took my cat, Charlie, here last Saturday morning because I noticed he was straining very hard to pee, and on almost every surface of the house. They got me right in to see the new doctor there, Dr. Harry. He was really great at explaining what was going on, what they needed to do with Charlie, and what to expect if things went in either direction. All the staff were incredibly kind and open with my (I feel) constant calling to check up on him and my visits. If I could not go in the back to see him, they brought him out to me and let us sit in a quiet room. All the staff were very attentive and easy to talk to, and I know that they treated my kitty with love while he was there. Everyone was so knowledgeable about what Charlie was going through, as well as patient and supportive. As far as the bill went, everything was explained to me on an itemized invoice and nothing was done without my permission first. I will definitely be using VVC as my emergency vet from now on! :) I am so thankful to have my little furry baby back in perfect health, and so grateful to everyone who was there to nurse him back to health at VVC. <3Read Less

This time I came prepared with specific blood work requests. We ended up keeping her there because we knew she'd be in good hands. He called us when we brought her home the next day to check on her. We ended up losing her on the way back there 3 days later, we were devastated but it was her time to go, but he did an awesome job on doing his absolute best to keep her alive. MINUS 10 As I write this review I am absolutely heartbroken. I took my beautiful 10 year old ragdoll Paris to Valencia Veterinary Center in April 2016 to be microchipped. Paris is an indoor cat so until moving to SCV we did not feel it necessary. When she disappeared from one of our balconies overnight I immediately pulled the paperwork that was given to me when I left the office. I was even more distraught when noticed not one but two digits of my phone number were incorrect on the invoice. I immediately called the office to insure the correct information was entered into the database but was told they did NOT register my pet's information---I was supposed to??? THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME I WAS TOLD THIS!!! The receptionist nonchalantly informed me that I "should have been given a pamphlet to fill out and mail-in to register your pet in the database". I was NOT given ANY pamphlet nor was I informed that needed to register my pet.I was given my 2 paid invoices and 2 tags - a rabies certificate and a microchip # which I immediately placed on my sweet baby's collar. When I left the office it was with the understanding that the veterinary office who placed a  microchip into my beloved pet - also placed that information regarding my pet into a database. So if anyone HAS found Paris, my information would NOT show up when/if she was scanned. THIS IS BEYOND NEGLIGENCE. The girls working the front are scattered and careless. These simple (yet crucial) instructions were not given to me - because collecting my payment was obviously more important. This just sickens me.It gets better: Although I took Paris into the office in April for her vaccination and microchip I never received any marketing or pet information emails from the Vets Office for 5 months.  Not one that is until a week AFTER I notified them that Paris had gone missing. Very helpful at that point to email me some random pet care tips. It was especially infuriating to get a "Happy Birthday Paris" email from the vet two weeks after my cat disappeared. Employees of that office are negligent, careless, cruel & heartless. If you truly love your pets be very cautious, because these people love your $$$ a lot more. They charged me $50.00 for a microchip with no supporting information or instructions. Take your animals to Petco to be microchipped, it's only $15 and they will give your babies the care and attention they deserve. Read Less

We cannot say enough about how happy we are with Valencia Veterinary Center! Our precious 8 lb morkie, Bam Bam ate part of a mushroom which had popped up overnight in our lawn. Not knowing if it was poisonous or not, we brought Bam Bam in, right away, just in case it was. Immediately, Dr. Liaghat and the techs on staff induced vomiting, administered toxiban, and did blood work. It appeared that all was well. Within 15 minutes of arriving home, Bam Bam began to lose control of his pee and poo, and was stumbling. We rushed him back to the clinic. By the time we arrived, our Bam Bam was in full seizures. They took him in right away, and started treatment. None of us could have known before, what a lethal mushroom this was. No symptoms and no signs in bloodwork at two hours from ingestion, full seizures 1/2 hour later. (Doggie parents, beware the lawn mushroom!) They stabilized Bam Bam, but he continued to relapse into convulsions periodically. Dr. Liaghat induced a coma to protect him from the harmful seizures. By the time we left him at nearly midnight, Bam Bam had no convulsions for 1 1/2 hours. The following morning, our boy was awake. Clearly still struggling, but alive! We were so happy! Receiveing fluids to flush the toxins from his little body, he continued to improve until we were able to bring him home less than 48 hours from the time he tasted that toxic fungus. Dr's B. and S. Grewal saw to Bam Bam's care throughout his recovery. Our most sincere thanks to, Dr. Liaghat, Dr's Grewal, veterinary technicians Melisa, Sam, and James, and all the rest of the caring staff of Valencia Veterinary Center, who saved our Bammers' life, and were so friendly, courteous, and supportive of us as they helped us through such a traumatic time. Bam Bam is resting comfortably on the couch, cuddling with us today, due to the life saving efforts of these heroes. Thank you, thank you, thank you!Read Less

Read Less

The office was dirty, the staff was unfriendly/unprofessional/rude and the doctor rushed us through our rescue exam as if we were a major inconvenience to him (pretty sure he spent less than 2 minutes total with us in the exam room) Such an odd/cold vibe that you usually don't get at a vets office (most are usually excited to see your animal, show some interest, compassion etc) Definitely won't be back!! A big thank you to the veterinary team for all of your efforts and look forward to many years of spoiling my fury grandchild! Read Less

Huge shout out to VALENCIA VETERINARY CENTER they were amazing in an emergency situation and we are beyond impressed and grateful for the staff.

<3Read Less

I don't love this vet office. They seem to lack compassion & friendliness compared to other vet offices I've been too. I've been here twice - once for an emergency, they ran tests and deemed nothing wrong, and second time for the same issues I saw them for the first time. This time I came prepared with specific blood work requests. They forgot to order the ammonia test even though I asked them to confirm twice.I think it's important for vets to send to a specialist if they cannot offer a diagnosis or treatment plan. They did not do this for me. If you do go, ask for Dr Slaton is the best on the team. Ask for him. He's practical and explains next steps clearly. Read Less

However, coming here had changed my experience. The staff is amazing and caring about your fur baby and the doctors are really attentive to your needs. Ever since that encounter I've been a loyal customer to Valencia Vet Center. They are familiar with my Pitt Bull Daisy, who recently had an encounter with a coyote. They did all that they could with her injuries... She was bad, so bad they anticipated her leg being lost. However, Daisy fought through and healed amazing! If it weren't for their quick thinking and attention to detail, I'm sure daisy would've been in worst shape.I am forever grateful. Dr. Slaton is the doc to see! We went in one night expecting our dog had ate something bad only to find out she was in congestive heart failure and a stage 5 heart murmur. When given the list of treatments they wanted to do he was real with us and told us what didn't HAVE to be done and what he thought was the best choice.
