General Info
Dr.’s Ken Cholden and Jen Berry attended University of Minnesota for vet school. They graduated in 1998 and moved out to California to begin their own practice. In 2004, they took over the helm of All Pets Veterinary Clinic from Dr. Blake Milam.

Dr. Cholden (pronounced: coal-den) is incredibly interested in pain management. He is pursuing a degree to become a pain management practitioner, in hopes of keeping our patients as comfortable as possible throughout their lives. Dr. Berry, as well as Dr. Cholden, has a strong interest in complementary and alternative treatments. Both doctors work with our patients on an individual level to create treatment and care plans that are as good of a fit as a tailored suit.
Dr. Cholden and Dr. Berry live with their dog, Clancy, and 17 chickens. Their home also includes their 3 daughters: Nike, Daisy, and Story.
The All Pets Vet doctors are extremely dedicated to each patient they see, but they still explore extra-clinical interests. In his off-time, Dr. Cholden enjoys playing disc golf and listening to/playing live music. Currently, he is learning to play the violin with his daughter, Nike. Dr. Berry, with her off-time is currently training with the Santa Cruz Roller Derby Girls.

The staff and doctors at All Pets love my dogs as much as I do. We have been customers/patients for over 10 years and have always received the highest level of care. Dr. Cholden stays up-to-date with the latest science and research and really takes his time to explain our options and to help us make good choices.

All Pets Vet Clinic saved my dog's life. After being suddenly awakened by my dog's erratic and unusual behavior, I immediately brought him in as soon as I could. They were quick to respond to my dog's needs. The team of techs closely monitored his condition and kept me in the loop. They contacted me with each step they took to ensure my dog's condition improved. He was suffering from toxicity from eating out of the trash, as well as a potential hazard from getting a hold of some chicken bones (which became shards in his stomach). Despite worrying about his condition all day, the news became more and more promising with each treatment they administered. I couldn't be more grateful for what they did and for saving my dog's life. I highly recommend them.

The Staff at All Pets is welcoming, warm, friendly and knowledgeable. I perceive them as loving animals and enjoying their job. Dr. Cholden is personable. He takes the time to discuss any issue or question I have about the treatment. He is kind and gentle with my beloved cat, lays the facts out and lets me decide. I was hesitant about getting my cat's teeth cleaned. After the cleaning and pulling of several teeth, my cat was once again playful and pain free. I could clearly see the difference in his behavior. In preparation for the dental treatment, I requested an overall status of my cat's health through blood work. An issue was found and addressed. Dr. Cholden was very patient with me and made a big difference in the quality of my cat's life. I take my 3 cats to Dr. Cholden and I feel I can speak to him openly about my concerns about my cats. He and his staff go the extra step. They always call to see how my cat is doing after a treatment which is more than any M.D. doctor does. I am so grateful to Dr. Cholden and his wonderful staff. Hugs to all of you.

In my opinion, All Pets Veterinary Clinic is the best in the west!
I have been taking my animals to see Dr. Cholden and Dr. Berry for many years now and have always felt my animals receive exceptional care. The entire staff at All Pets are so helpful and kind. This makes my pets as well as myself feel totally at ease. It is clear they love all the animals they see and care for and the animals seem to sense that. So important in my view!
Dr. Cholden is always willing to go the extra mile to insure that all the best care is given to every animal he treats.
I also love the fact that Dr. Cholden and Dr. Berry not only practice conventional veterinary medicine but they also integrate holistic and alternative methods as well and continue to educate themselves on new and successful treatments.
I can't say enough good things about All Pets Veterinary Clinic. The whole team there are outstanding!
I have taken many animals to many veterinarians in the past and I can honestly say that I am so thankful for Dr. Cholden and Dr. Berry and their staff. I have total confidence and trust in All Pets Veterinary Clinic and I highly recommend them.

Finally! A vet practice we feel confident and comfortable with! Both Dr. Cholden and Dr. Berry are expertly skilled in Veterinary care, while also providing equal warmth and compassion to us animal owners as they do for our pets. We have found in them a vet team that clearly and patiently educates us about all our options for a particular health issue, including great alternative care practices, allows us to make our own decisions about our pets care, with out pressure or judgment, and with full support of our decisions. We have two elderly dogs, an aging cat, and one young rescued dog, so we have had a lot of visits to the clinic the past two years. The entire team at the clinic has been wonderful, caring and professional. We have found the cost of care to be the same as our past vets, not overly pricey, and they have been willing to work with us on getting medications on-line or at Costco for the best price for us, which we appreciate immensely. We confidently recommend All Pets Vet Clinic highly. In fact, after two years of care for four pets, we love and fully trust the whole team.

Dr. Ken Cholden is great. He's been taking great care of my sweet dog Harley for years now, and our new kitten Pepper (I guess he's not a kitten any more is he? He's a year old now) through regular check ups all the way to surgery for an accident.
Everyone at All Pets is really sweet and care about animals as much as I care for mine. Especially Marie & Emily €Harley is always happy to see them.
I would recommend All Pets very highly. They know what they are doing and they care. What more could you ask for?

I have been bringing my cats to All Pets for over 15 years and I was very pleased to see Drs. Cholden and Berry maintain and build upon the clinic?s excellent reputation and very high standards of care. My current Cat, Smokey, is an elderly female with chronic renal failure. She requires a lot of nursing and regular care and I know we are in the best possible hands at All Pets. Dr. Cholden and his wonderfully caring and professional staff understand that they are providing care not merely to my cat, but to me as well! The vet techs are very gentle and loving with Smokey and she allows them to do procedures that she would never allow me to carry out. Dr. Cholden is always willing to answer my constant questions and do research when necessary and I have the reassuring feeling that we are working together for Smokey?s well-being. An added bonus is the extremely fast turn-around time on getting lab results and the phone follow-up and consultation from Dr. Cholden. I have been taking my animals to see Dr. Cholden and Dr. Berry for many years now and have always felt my animals receive exceptional care. The entire staff at All Pets are so helpful and kind. This makes my pets as well as myself feel totally at ease. It is clear they love all the animals they see and care for and the animals seem to sense that. So important in my view!

Finally! A vet practice we feel confident and comfortable with! Both Dr. Cholden and Dr. Berry are expertly skilled in Veterinary care, while also providing equal warmth and compassion to us animal owners as they do for our pets. We have found in them a vet team that clearly and patiently educates us about all our options for a particular health issue, including great alternative care practices, allows us to make our own decisions about our pets care, with out pressure or judgment, and with full support of our decisions. I have been bringing my cats to All Pets for over 15 years and I was very pleased to see Drs.
