I was told by the Dr that cleaning my dog's teeth would cost $692!! I just had them cleaned in SD for $60!! Yes, they put her asleep, (used laser, )even cut net nails! For $60!! Unbelievable! And her teeth look great ! Read Less

Dr Thorne and his staff are amazing. I found them by dumb luck a few years ago, by calling all local vets to see who would order me a specialized prescription food for my sick dog- after 10 or so "no's" I reached Alderbrook and got a "sure" they were so friendly, professional, and accommodating that I switched over to them and have never looked back. They take great care of their patients, and they always follow up after procedures - and take the time to explain your pets health in detail. I've had problems with several vets in the past, and used to drive to Davis to get the best care, but I've learned over the years I can get that same care with Dr Thorne. I'm so glad I found them! We were traveling through Northern California and our dog's cough was getting worse. Just south of Santa Rosa we decided to take her to a vet and called Alderbrook. They were wonderful! Got us in right away even though Dr. Thorne was in surgery. Dr. Thorne gave Lily a thorough exam that included two phone calls to her regular vet for information and gave her some meds. She was better a few days later. Dr. Thorne and the entire staff were helpful and thoughtful. We love our vet in Phoenix, but we would change to Alderbrook if we ever moved near Santa Rosa! My name is Homer. I am nine years old. Oh my, how time flies. I was only eight weeks old when I was taken to Alderbrook for the first time. I was more curious than frightened because I knew, even then, that my parents loved me so much. Dr. Thorne was very understanding and reassuring. He gave me a shot that hurt a little for a very short time even in dog years. I have been going to Alderbrook about twice a year and I have always been treated with respect and kindness. Our 3 dogs have gone to Alderbrook Pet Hospital for over 14 years. All of them have been comfortable while examined, treated, and boarded. They love the staff and especially Dr. Thorne.
