I filled out the paperwork, I checked the western medicine box, my dog had a rash. First off, Dr. Takes over saying don't worry, we can handle him. One way NOT to handle a 75 lb. young, excited pit bull, is to talk to him in a high pitched voices, while 3 assistants are coming in and out of the room, ALL using that high pitched baby talk voice, (which only gets him more excited.) Dr. must have given him over 30 treats. All the while telling US how to treat OUR dog, and NEVER asking if we wanted him to have A LOT of treats. Maybe We did not want him to eat before he got home due to his history of motion sickness which causes him to regurgitate 95% of the time he goes for a drive! They didn't know the first thing about him, nor did they ask. We've had him 3 years. We have taken training classes with him. We know how to handle him, they did not. It was so uncomfortable watching them fumble while refusing our help. Then she gets into the Chinese medicine diagnosis saying my dog has too much fire. He needs cooling energy... He's a young energetic Pitt bull, that is his personality. She prescribed an antibiotic and some Chinese herbs and fecal test for $321.00... Yes, $321.00!! The antibiotics didn't work, the herbs could be making it worse, so now, I'm taking him to a hospital. Why would she give random antibiotics without a skin scrape, slide impression or C&S testing? They only tested his feces?? Thanks for the rip off. I'm just wondering why they have a western medicine box to check if they have no intention of adhering to it? Thanks for the herbs that cost more than several of my homeopathic supplements Combined. So what's the next treatment, Rekki, meditation and acupuncture? Maybe he should drink the ayahuasca and go on a spirt journey so he can heal from his abandonment issues, and finally gain the confidence he needs to calm his inner fire and be at balance with the universe. My poor guy is so much worse now than before we took him there. And why do they need to know where we work? Is it so they can predetermine who they incorrectly assume can afford to be ripped off? NEVER AGAIN! I learned an expensive lesson. Steer clear of this place, that lesson cost me over THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS! What really gets me was the way that without explanation of her recommendations, she so nonchalantly assumed that we wanted and could afford everything she wanted us to do, regardless of the price. So many people would simply not be able to afford that bill, but what choice do they have? We can not decline to treat our beloved companions, but many would not be able to afford it anyway. I feel she should have discussed the treatment options, and informed us of the cost for the various interventions BEFORE leaving the room. That way we don't have to ask the assistant for the cost of it all, and then proceed to drop your jaw at her response. We are fortunate that we could pay it, in addition to another couple hundred and change at a different veterinary hospital. Luckily our guy is improving finally improving, (a mont later.) The Chinese herb pills were not labeled so We had no idea what was in them. We were advised to discontinue them, so we did. Well... that's money NOT well spent. That was my experience, I would not go back or recommend this place to anyone. Read Less
