We have been going to DAH for several years, since it was recommended by another Labrador Mam and I am so glad! The kind staff have seen us the health and through the loss of two of our beloved dogs. I trust the doctors to be patient, honest, and fair with their examinations and procedures. The staff is super friendly and even allowed me to borrow a sling when my poor dog was having difficulty walking toward the end of his life. I feel like my animals are cared for here and I never ever feel overcharged which is something I find so frustrating with a lot of veterinarians in Sonoma County. They definitely trust owners to know what is right for their pets and do not push unnecessary vaccinations and medications to run up your costs. Thank you Devotion for everything. Devotion Animal Hospital is where I take my dog and cat to. I love both veterinarians and the staff. They are cheerful and helpful. They have dealt with putting my cat to sleep and were extremely compassionate. My dog had a difficult condition to control but they hung in there until they found the right meds. My dog is so much more comfortable and her personality has improved because of their treatment. Read Less

We were so happy with this veterinarian. Our little chihuahua needed a procedure that not all vets do.  We live 3 hours away but a family member recommend this vet so our vet faxed paperwork and we were able to schedule the surgery within two days. The staff was wonderful and the vet talked to us like she was a friend. Now our little chihuahua is recovering nicely back at home. This was a seamless event given the professional and friendly communication and process facilitated by the staff there. Was recommended to Devotion in 2011 when we first moved to Sebastopol and have been clients ever since.  Don't know why it has taken me so long to write this review, but Dr. Barros and his entire staff are as good as it gets in every category there is.  They are all highly trained professionals that are exceptional at their jobs.  They are also kind, compassionate, and have a genuine love of animals and an incredible skill of dealing with people, too.  The addition of Dr. Anderson a few years ago is simply another great asset to the practice.Can't recommend them highly enough! I knew a long time ago that Dr. Barros was the best vet around. He had just bought El Camino, when we were at the end of owning our last dog. He was very compassionate and up front when we had to put Chester down. Something I always totally respected. Now we have a newly adopted boxer mix, and she had a plant eating incident that turned into a bit of a nightmare. Have always received excellent service here. Most recently we went in for a routine check up, and due to their thoroughness, discovered a tumor in my dogs spleen. Dr. Barros was wonderful and calm in explaining the situation to me. I knew I was leaving her in good hands. Now she is home and healing. Be sure to ask for an appointment with Dr. Barros who is very excellent. There is a new vet there who is not very experienced. My most recent experience with the new vet was a $1,200 bill for an operation without doing a complete physical first. We waited there for four hours and ended up having to euthanize our pet. Prior experience was a pet with a simple problem the new vet didn't catch that was resolved "naturally" a week later. Improper diagnosis , drained finances, broken hearts. Read Less

As a pet lover, I am grateful for their support, compassion, and understanding.
