THANK YOU FOR YOUR EXCELLENT EYE CARE!! Laci Doodle and Bruce Morgan Parrish went for their eye exams on Tuesday at Eye Care for Animals in Tampa by Dr. Peter Mohoric. They were so great!! They do all animals large and small, and their other doctor's name is E. Dan Wolf. Laci got a good report but Bruce has an eye infection and ulcer on his right eye probably from allergies and rubbing it so much. I feel really bad because I just noticed his eye was swollen a couple of days b...efore. This is probably why he's been so mean lately. It's probably 10 times more painful than my toothache was. It was great luck that we had this eye appointment scheduled since he wouldn't let me do anything with it. He's on 2 different drops and liquid antibiotic in addition to his Hydroxyzine twice a day, but he has been great about taking his meds for the first time ever!! I hold him on his back in my arms and give him hot dog treats in between the meds. I'm amazed at how easy it's been since they had to wrestle him to get a muzzle on him to get his eye drops in. Dr. Mohoric achieved things his regular vet can't do since they have to put him to sleep to get bloodwork done. Only this doctor and his groomer can muzzle him and work with him so well. I was amazed as I watched him settle down. I think the numbing eye drops helped a lot as well!! Wheeling location- Dr. Wasserman is fantastic and I am so thankful for all the help he has given to my baby, Simba. He was also very understanding of the financial hurdles we had, and was upfront about costs and what may be cheaper elsewhere for us. He even called us after hours to check in on Simba because I had been worried about his eye, but didn’t have the money at the time for another recheck exam. He then called in a medication to a pharmacy to keep a handle on the eye infection until I was able to get Simba in for his recheck. Now Simba’s ulcer is healed and I could not be happier. Dr Norman, Kelsey, & staff are top notch health care providers. The quality that sets them above others is their compassion. I could tell they really cared about my dog & how much I love her. They treated my nippy little Chihuahua with great kindness. I'm also pleased to add that my puppy had absolutely no post operative complications, nor discomfort, following eye removal surgery. I understand that my dog probably doesn't care, but Aesthetically, she looks remarkable ! I'v...e seen other dogs that look malformed following the same procedure, my little one looks beautifully restored to near normal. The eye socket is not concave, she doesn't look like half of her face was hacked away ! Incision is flush and almost seemless looking. I would not recommend this vet to worst enemy - they throw surgery quotes at you with no opportunity to ask questions and juice their services with unnecessary and dangerous additions to up your bill and good luck getting a call back if you have questions basically if you don’t have any thoughts for yourself or don’t really care for your animal this place is the place for you. Our older family dog developed a growth on her upper eyelid that seemed to cause her a bit of discomfort. My family had an exceptional experience with Dr. Binder and the staff at the Warwick, RI practice. Our dog needed ocular surgery, and Dr. Binder thoroughly explained our options in a professional, yet caring manner. The staff was very welcoming and comforting. It is a small facility and we did not have to wait around for anyone. The results of the surgery were perfect. And not just saying that because we took our old man in for a expensive surgery and where surprised when they said they didn't have to put him under after all since he calmed down. Took my cat to the Phoenix office when I noticed a black spot in his eye. They recommended laser surgery. It was expensive, but went smoothly. Unfortunately the spots recurred and they recommended that the eye be removed. This was a big decision, and another big expense, but they were all very supportive. Dr. Barrett took the time to explain everything to me. The vet techs and front office staff were all very nice and took the time to make follow up calls after the surgeries. As soon as the pathology report came back they called with the results: Melanoma. Stage 1, so we caught it early and my cat has a good prognosis. Please don't ignore any irregularities in your pets' eyes--bring them here for a check up. Read Less

I loved the think and feel of the whole experience. My little dog Shi Shi is healing surprisingly well and the treatment made so much sense; Dr. Burwell was very available for questions. She gave me lots of necessary information and exhibited a sense of competence and passion for her work. The professionalism within each aspect of the office was obvious-from the doctor, to assistants to the staff who never made me feel rushed even though it was crazy busy. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Dr. Burwell!!!!!!!!!! I first met Dr. Burwell a few years ago when my regular vet recommend I see an eye specialist for my grandmother's German Shepherd. He had red bulging eyes. And I for sure thought he was getting glacoma. In fact Lucky was blind.Dr. Burwell found out he had Lyme disease. She knew exactly  what to do and how to treat it. And he was able to regain vision in his eyes. She is now my eye doctor for my little chocolate min pin, Hudson who has developed cataracts at the age of 6yrs.I fully trust her and her well trained staff.
