Montecito Veterinary Center

Santa Rosa, California
General Info
Montecito Veterinary Center works closely with pet families in the Santa Rosa area, designing care programs that evolve as the pets grow and change throughout their lives in California. The first set of appointments which are routine requires a complete rundown of the lifestyle and behaviour aspects covering things like appetite, sleep patterns, socializing, gait analysis, body exercise levels and emotional response. Examinations utilize various techniques such as oral checks, weight tracking, joint rotation, temperature sensitivity, and cardiac monitoring. Veterinary experts observe the milestones of spaying and neutering, puberty and adult weight, as well as senior years with additional attention to weather-related health problems. Montecito Veterinary Center provides core and elective vaccinations, diagnostic services, dental care, pain assessments, mobility coaching, nutritional advice, and parasite control. The frequency and intensity of services also vary with age and mobility-related factors such as spring allergy response, summer heat precautions, and winter inflammation reviews. Planning processes may also incorporate the adolescent stage schedule together with the adult stage and initiate early practice of senior pet care. Owners receive care logs and follow-up goals, as well as behavior-based pacing. Families might set weight thresholds for rechecks during colder months and use stress monitoring apps for older pets. Busy households, senior pets, and multi-pet families with staggered timelines can access flexible scheduling and remote follow-up. Montecito Veterinary Center provides tailored wellness plans to pet owners in Santa Rosa and across California, focusing on factors such as age, activity level, and seasonal needs. The team offers the following specialized services: 24 Hour Emergency, Anesthesiology, Behavioral Counseling, and Bloodwork and Boarding. Clients speak highly of the practice’s devotion to care and attention to individual pets’ needs. Whether it’s a routine checkup or a complex surgery, your pet will receive the best care possible in a serene environment. Advanced diagnostics and treatment options (Cardiology, Dental Care, Deworming, Diagnostics, and Emergency Care) are available on-site to facilitate your pet’s care.

My Shih-Tzu/Maltese, Wally has seen Dr. Lynne Lankes since he was 3 months old and adores her, because she is like a dog Mom, so gentle and caring, as well as an outstanding Vet! We just moved back from KS and were so grateful that Dr. Lankes was the Vet, who was able to sweeze Wally in for an urgent appointment, after getting into a tangle over food with his brother, Shauny, a large Australian Blue Heeler! Both dogs are stressed over the move, but Dr. Lankes gave Wally excellent care for his wounds and he's much better. I also admire Dr. Lankes for all her volunteer services to the community and appreciate her reasonable charges. Rev Kitty Lum Read Less

Utterly useless. One of the receptionists has always been extremely rude and callous but we let it go due to how close we lived. Recently we brought our older dog in due to an increasingly awful cough. They were unable to take an x-ray due to a broken machine and nothing was done to address it, we were told we could come back when the machine was working. We called several times to follow up, each time we were told the machine was still broken. We were offered no help to find another place or determine next steps. Our dog's cough kept getting worse and his appetite decreased, we thought we were going to have to put him down. We went to another vet and now have a diagnosis of heart failure and lymphoma and have started treatment. As far as I know, Montecito Vet Center's x-ray machine is still broken. Regardless, I'll never be back. Read Less
