Very impressive - compassionate, knowledgeable, affordable! My dog stopped eating, bloodshot eyes, trembling, barely could walk. Looked like he was dying. They rushed him back, and saved his life for only $120! It's only been two days and he finally started eating this morning! Yesterday i could see the whites of his eyes, and he barely ate a slice of bacon. I am always afraid of vet horror stories, like I will end up owing thousands of dollars, but I really love our hound and didn't want him to die. I am amazed at how knowledgeable they were in examing him to pinpoint the problem without added expenses. I feel really comfortable about recommending them to anyone in the future, and while I hope I never need to go back there, I will never hesitate if a future problem arises. Compassion, kindness, and friendliness describes PetCare! We have just been told that out dog has cancer and everyone was there to talk to us and help us understand what is to come. We put our dog, Jake, down today (14 years old!) and although it was heartbreaking, the staff at Petcare Vet. Hospital treated us and our furbaby with such compassion. I had an appointment at PetCare for my new cat to get vaccinated.  I left his medical records across town, so I asked the staff to call the humane society for them.  The human society staff was too busy to send them, so the PetCare staff called a couple times to get them.  Had to wait a little while to get into the waiting room.  Had to wait a while for the staff to come.  The vet tech and vet were very friendly with my cat, as if they were excited to see him.  And complimentary and affectionate.  Even if they say all the pets are cute, it's good customer service in in this industry.  The vet gave a little insight about his age (he was a stray, so I didn't know), his behavior, his dietary habits, etc.  She gave him his vaccinations and recommended some flea med. They are absolutely amazing people. They are very kind and supportive. They had me in tears of gratitude a few times. Today was the latest. We picked up the ashes of our dog Tiberius and I just expected it to come in a velvet bag.... it came in a beautiful box and plaque with his name on it. Initially when I called PetCare the man who answered was very rude and wouldn't allow me to make an appointment so I hung up. I had an urgent but not emergency situation so I decided to call back and I'm very glad I did. The second man who answered the phone was extremely pleasant and helpful and got me in to see Dr. Davainis at 8am. I was hesitant because I'm very picky with my vets and I really wanted to take my cat to see her regular vet, however due to the circumstances I needed a vet to see her ASAP. I took her in and the vet tech was very sweet while handling my kitty, then Dr. Davainis came in and did a thorough examination on my kitty Roxy. I definitely felt that she was in great hands. He took his time with her and was very patient and thorough with all of my questions.  He even took the time to call a neurosurgeon at a clinic in Rohnert Park to fill them in on what was going on with Roxy and was able to talk them into getting us an appointment that same day. He called me the following day to give me the test results that came back. We're still waiting on other results but I'm thankful that he called to let me know what he knew so far. I definitely would feel good about taking Roxy back to see him in the future. I'm even thinking of switching him to be her regular vet as my current vet is in Cotati.Also on a side note the rest of the staff was extremely helpful and pleasant (except the first guy I spoke to - there's always a bad seed in the bunch). They were also very helpful when I called earlier today in a panic because of an incident today. Luckily they talked me down and were able to talk me through a solution. We have had both Dogs and Cats. We have used PetCare Veterinary for the last 3 years or so but we are looking to change. We initially came here because they could fix the pet in question in a visit. In our last several visits we always get "Let's do a blood test" with an in-conclusive result. It always costs at least $200 and sometimes much more. We currently have 2 cats who have been to the vet but they are sill not well. Not sure what is going on, but we have started looking for an alternative. Read Less

This is a special thank you to the Mendocino Ave campus and the Fulton Road Campus they worked very hard to care for our beloved Pug Tito. he had been very ill and needed medication for his illness. it turned out he had pneumonia and possibly cancer . I can not recommend this vet enough. We drive 2 hours to see this vet . Many of our visits have been emergency visits. They are the most reasonably priced emergency vet we have found . As for the treatment they really did a amazing job doing what it was that was needed with out spending funds we didnt have . Then recently my elderly dog began to pass away the staff was amazing with me . I don't know how they understood a word I was crying, but they were so patient and supporting.. Nice facility, Dr Cathy Robello is wonderful but as other reviews have stated, the girls working at the reception desk and the vet assistants all have chips on their shoulders. Standing at the counter I watched Lesley treat a call-in client like crap, rolling her eyes and snapping that they needed to hold then rolling her eyes at me like we had some unspoken understanding that the person on the phone was a moron- nope sorry, we called in before our appointment and were treated EXACTLY like that. These girls need to put in perspective what their actual role is- they're completely disposable customer service reps and while the vet techs are not customer service but that IS a portion of their role. Being a vet tech is not an esteemed profession it's a certificate program. What makes it esteemed is when you are good at what you do and none of these snotty girls could be polite to save their lives. This girl Lesley at the front desk HAS to be on the spectrum, she gave me the complete third degree over paying for a nail trim, she practically wanted my fingerprints. She asked my last name and i said i don't think i have an account it's probably under my moms account then she got sooo confused it honestly annoys me to even have to explain the story so I won't but I felt like walking out and saying thanks for the free trim. If there were a way to bring my dog in to see the vets here and bypass the receptionists and vet tech, Pet Care would be more than worth returning to. Nevertheless, every time my mom brings the family dog in there they do $400 worth of "tests" but have NEVER not even once diagnosed him with anything. Dr Robello is an extremely competent surgeon. My Savannah cat had a commotid fracture with a shattered fibula and multiple bone deep lacerations. During surgery, he reinforced the fracture with two metal plates and nine pins and our boy is on the way to recovery. After showing some other vets the X-Rays, they had never seen such an advanced procedure. Their follow up has been great and I feel that our Savannah Cat will make a full recovery after deciding to get into a fight with a car.
