Honestly I didn't want to go here, but it was not my choice. The staff I interacted with was friendly, but I question this place. My dog was spayed here a little over a week ago and right off the bat I was questionable. First of all, they don't provide post-op medication OR a cone for her to wear, what if someone can't afford to pay for the surgery AND medication/a cone?? Anyways, fast forward two days later and my dog finally lets me have a look at her belly, I was astonished with how terrible of a stitch job they did. It literally looked like my 2 year old stitched her up, I expected better from certified doctors. Well it is now a week and a half after surgery and my dogs incision site is infected and isn't healing properly. The stitchs are becoming loose and the skin isn't coming together properly. And on top of that, the skin around the incision is becoming hard when gently squeezed. I'm very disappointed in the poor quality this place has given me. I would NEVER bring any animal here again and I would NOT reccomended this place to anyone. I'm honestly wondering if they even did the surgery correctly. I hope this place doesn't think they can have low standards because they go by "affordable", because if they are intentionally providing below average service because of the name, they need to be shut down. If you can't afford any other place go to the humane society. They did an AMAZING job on my other dog and she healed up just fine with no problem. Wow what an amazing animal hospital! Dr Lee, Dr Brooks, Sarah and the rest of the wonderful staff at the Affordable Animal Clinic gave us the 5 star treatment from start to finish! We were faced with a very scary decision. My lab Storm is 13 years old and I never anticipated to have to put him through anything stressful at that age. I always promised to him I would let him go with comfort and peace when the day comes. He was always a strong and energetic pup and over the last 6 months we saw a definite decline in his health. One day I laid down next to him to pet him and his tummy felt really tight. I took him in and 2 sets of x-rays at 2 different local vets revealed the news of a large mass in his abdomen. I saw them myself and was horrified to see it fill his entire body cavity. I thought this was the beginning of the end for my little buddy. With finances being tight and the estimates being very large at the other 2 clinics - we decided to put Storm into the hands of the Affordable Animal Clinic. I was devastated. I always treated my Stormy with the utmost care, preparing his meals by hand and taking him to the park and on hikes to keep him healthy every day for the past 13 yrs. I always felt I would rather spend the money on preventing cancer and illness than treating it. I was hesitant about going with a discounted treatment center since I always wanted the very best for him but I really had no choice at this point - we don't have a lot of money right now having faced some tough financial hits - but still wanted to do the best we could for him. This was indeed going to be a very expensive visit for him. We decided to go through with the surgery to remove the mass and to have it done by Dr Lee at Affordable. It was a matter of a rock and a hard place for us - if we left the tumor in it could, and most likely would, rupture and Storm would be sure to suffer greatly - and have a good chance of dying from it as well. So we held our breath and walked through the fire with him. What a relief! Surgery was a total success and the Doctors and Staff could not have done a more amazing job. Both doctors were present for the surgery - they ended up removing a 7.5 tumor along with Storms spleen. It was the largest tumor Dr Lee had ever seen! Storm was true to his nature throughout, strong and brave as he'd ever been. Luckily outside of the tumor he was still a healthy, strong pup underneath it all. The lab results came back and Dr Lee called to give us the good news - Storm is 100% cancer free! He had his stitches out a couple weeks ago and yesterday was running and playing at the dog park with another 10 yr old and 6 month old puppy. It was a beautiful site to see my best little buddy so happy and free of his burden! He is no longer sleeping the days away - he is alert and eating healthy. He jumps right up to go outside for walks and to play. It's just amazing. Dr Lee and Dr Brooks saved Storm's life. And not only that they were just good people with big hearts. Very kind, caring and supportive all throughout.  We never felt rushed with our questions or concerns. Dr Lee was very direct with us and we just really appreciated his honesty. There was a formidable chance Storm might not make it through this. We feel so very blessed he did and I will forever be grateful to these doctors for their amazing miracle work. Read Less

The only reason I liked going here was because of one or two of the ladies at the front desk, other then that I was trying not to show my disgusted face the whole time I was in one of the rooms with my dog. It was so unsanitary and the sink was basically falling off of the wall. I brought my dog in for a foxtail, the doctor came in the room for maybe 3 minutes, found it then came back with a charge payment of over $550. I know these things can be expensive, which is understandable, but $120 of the fee was for locating it (it was visabally in between her toes) and this fee was based off the doctors decision, and another $100 was for Just coming in the room with us basically. If I'm going to be charged this much, I would at least expect a clean facility and a professional looking veterinarian, which is not what you will find here. Keep looking is my best advice. Read Less

I wish I could give ZERO stars. READ Dr. Terrell's one and two and three star reviews please. Look at other reviews of his practice on other sites and be forewarned. You get exactly what you pay for here. I've had horrible experience with this veterinarian on a few occasions and three times was a strike out. I wrote to the state veterinarian review board to have him investigated. He dosed my cat with flea medication without asking for my permission. If he had, then he would have known that she has severe allergic reaction to topical flea meds. My cat went into hyper salivation, lethargy and confusion. I had to take her to an emergency vet to have her treated. Doctor Terrell and or his staff over medicated my cat with anesthesia and sedatives for surgical removal of her eye, and released her to me before she had recovered , but instead should have been appropriately confined to a small cage until all drugs wore off. My cats seized that early morning and I rushed her to Dr. Terrell, where she nearly died from respiratory failure. If you are insistent on visiting Dr.Terrell make sure to quiz him before he treats your pet. I experienced him as to having a flat affect to his personality and almost cavalier attitude toward treatment, as if he does not care. You may mistake his eerie calmness. God, I wish I could tell all of you to run the other way. Please,, Please do not let you pet fall into a surgery with this man. Please be very careful and read the reviews. Read Less

I have taken my dog here about three times with issues with his stool. Firstly, it seemed as if the doctors were scared of my dog, I was charged for a "check up" and the doctor didn't even touch my pup. They tested his stool and he ended up having a parasite and giving us medication for it. My dog got better and after a couple of weeks his bloody stool returned. This happened two more times, where they didn't even test him or his stool and simply prescribed more medication. Each time I got charged for another "check up". So yes this veterinarian office is "affordable" if they actually get to curing your pet the first time you go, but since they don't actually fix the problem and you have to go in multiple times with the same issues it ends up costing just as much as a high end veterinarian. I would however like to recognize the kind ladies in the front, they were constantly checking in on us and were nice to my scared dog all while checking in clients, receiving phone calls and dealing with nurses, doctors and technical difficulties. They get more stars than 5 in my book! Ernie loves Dr. Terrell and all the staff. In fact, I believe he faked being sick at times--JUST to go hang at the vet clinic. He never really got that excited to see me when it was time to go home, so apparently, maybe he was too spoiled. I recently moved out of state and just know that I will not find a vet clinic that has been as awesome, helpful, loving and accommodating as Affordable animal clinic. Read Less

This vet clinic is so incredible kind, understanding and professional I couldn't have gone thru what we went thru when our dog died if it wasn't for them! They showed such compassion and interest in how she was doing and called us at home to see how she was! Thank you for everything you did for us when our sweet Clara Belle died. You were all so kind! We had them just put down our beloved cat of 19 years. The lady at the front desk was very assuring and comforting.

They are really warm and friendly and I know they undercharged me on so many occasions. As a military reservist in a bind to find a cat sitter while my Ernie needed insulin shots, they gladly opened up the place for my little orphan Ernie. We miss you, Dr. T and all.... Read Less
