I have never met a more empathetic and compassionate team like the staff at Mast Blvd Pet Hospital. Doctor Deep is amazing. The staff is amazing. I'm a single Mom and our Husky puppy had a bad injury. They worked with me and their prices are amazing. They took care of our Lola really fast and got her into surgery. They take care credit which was amazing, and you cannot beat their pricing. The doctor and nurses are so kind. In the middle of a severe illness with my dog I decided to change vets. In my desperate search I found these two incredible doctors and their sweet, knowledgeable staff. For starters the hours are fantastic, the kindness and support of both doctors were something I hadn't experienced in a long time, and they took their time to truly diagnose and explain what was really going on. My dog spent her days with them and she was home with us at night - not only was this best for her stress level it was also best for our budget. This facility is not out to take your money - they truly care and want to help. And even though we lost her in the end it was their "bedside manner" that really comforted us. Read Less

NO HEART! I brougt my dog on a Saturday afternoon, he needed many stitches on a leg. They asked for $750... "Only" $700 without the blood work. It is 2 weeks of work for me, I have 3 kids and I can't afford that much money, I need it to pay my bills and food. When they heard I didn't have that kind of money they said there was nothing they could do so they gave me my dog back, with no stitches!!! I think it's a theft, it is taking advantage of people's disgrace to make money over them, and mostly I cannot believe that there are people so inhuman who claim to be a vet and just let a dog leave without fixing him. And in the end... is nothing out of $700 better than $200 (which would have been much more affordable)? Read Less

BEST Dr. and Best Experience, We almost lost our dog this weekend, Without the Dr. doing 2 surgery's and actually knowing what he was doing saved our dogs life. His passion for pets shows and it is truly appreciated. I would HIGHLY recommend anybody to take their pet here. we are so happy and have so much thankfulness and gratitude that there are no words to truly describe how happy we are. Thank you SOOOO much Mast Blvd pet Hospital for all of your caring, love and time you spent on out big boy Brutus. His life was in your hands and you saved him..There is no better feeling that your pet is "not just another animal", but that he is actually family, and because of the love you have, our girls have their brother...(well now sister..lol) in their lives longer. Annoying. First off, prior to me listing the details of my frustration, I do want to say the Vet does good work. My dog was spayed here and had a great recovery. But then I went back for his ear infection... The Staff: Hit or Miss, sometimes you get the people that seem like they like their jobs...then you get the people who seem to not. When I went in most recently to have my dog checked...the Dr assistant nurse or the one that takes the info down and says "Doctor will be right with you". She was horrible, not smiling, not interacting, almost like my dog was a burden to her. Not the best feeling..as an owner. And btw my dog, great looking goof bull mastiff boxer. So he loves everyone... The Doctor: I have had the same doctor since we started, he isn't mean, bad or handles my dog wrong...but again...no personality, no feedback on how to help prevent things and if I can describe it best...if my dog had something visibly wrong..maybe a laceration or patches of fur missing...things like this...I feel this doctor would never notice. Its always like, us pointing things out and asking questions. And a lot of "Oh I didnt see that". Ok, so when your paying $$$$$ and your fur baby is with a doctor, you would assume the doctor would always be looking for things or just generally looking at your Dog in full scale. You won't get that there...I sure have not. The Price: Well we all know Vet's are over priced and make a grip of money off our pets. So I can't complain about their price, other then a follow up check up cost $30.00. BRUTAL! Why the 3 Stars: Well if you have made it through my post here is why I am DONE with this place and the 2 Stars. The 2 Stars is strictly because, my dog is HEALTHY and WELL after one surgery with them and one infection fixed. You have to point that out. BUT, the staff/professionalism..I didn't appreciate my last experience. I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK. So when I took my dog in for the ear infection, you signed a paper in the doctors room with the nurse. She tells me "you wont pay more than $241" depends on the meds. I said....ok, and signed away. I head out to get the meds in the front with the receptionist. She says very nonchalant "Your total is $291.00", I say "I literally just signed a piece of paper 3ft from you that it wasnt going to be over $241" She says "Hmm, let me check"...(terrible staff communication??) she comes back from the back "Ok sir, that will be $221.00"..........Ok, its not the price that got me....it was the way it was handled. I mean, there was not ONE SORRY (Terrible professionalism and customer service right there) and the fact that she was so easy to say $291 and right back down to $221, make me fee this VET is in it for the money. They charge all "willy nilly" and overprice. There is no other way to look at a situation that didn't come with a sorry or apologize for the extra $70.00 thrown out there. So all in all, I feel fine with my pet in their hands, but I don't trust them anymore with financials or even their advice. Too many weird things happening. I will not be returning. Read Less

They have competitive prices, but the best facet of this place is the front desk staff. They are also the nurses and they are amazing! They answer all questions and never make you feel stupid for asking for help! Read Less

We have been bringing our cats to Mast Blvd Pet Care for 20 years. All the way from kittens, to elderly cats, to end of life care. They have cared for 5 of our fur babies in total. Doctor Singh is friendly, patient and knowledgeable. He listens and does not rush the visit, even when the office is busy. Read Less

I have had a good experience with this pet hospital. Past experiences in a veterinary clinic located in one of the major pet stores was very expensive and the quality of care was not good. I love that Mast Blvd Pet Hospital is open seven days a week, have great hours and appointments are readily available when I need them. I absolutely love the doctors and the staff! They have all been very nice and are excellent about making your pet feel like royalty. If your looking for a new pet hospital this is the place to go! I have been taking my pet's here for about 5 years and I have no complaints. However my only complaint would be they discontinued their grooming services =( I have a male Rottweiler and he absolutely loved the girls there when he would get his monthly bath and nail trim. I have tried taking him to other grooming facilities since then and none of them can even compare. They just treat him like another dollar sign while the girls there get excited to see and even remember his name! In regards to pricing I would have to say everything is fairly priced and I have found that they have the lowest prices exam and vaccine wise in Santee. Thankfully my pets have usually only been seen for routine services but the one time I had to take my other dog in since she was vomiting large amounts of blood! They saw her the same day I called and diagnosed her with pancreatitis meaning she had to be on fluid therapy for two days. We took our dog in, at 8pm tonight. Shocked they were open. What awesome hours! Also, only $25 for 1st time visits. Our little guy fell and was in alot of pain. Shaking, yelping, limping. He even vomited from the pain. Dr. Singh saw us and was great. We were in and out within an hour. Exam, xray, injection, prescription. Staff was friendly and saw us right away. Tonight I had an amazing experience. The Veterinarian was unhurried, spent time answering my questions, going over x-rays offering suggestions and making recommendations for medication, home care and supplements that might help my girl. I really appreciated each of the ladies that work there for understanding my feelings. I had stopped in when I saw the open side on my way home from work - nearly 7 p.m and yes they were open! I asked the usual questions about prices, etc. and came right back with Rubee. She had broken out in a horrible allergic reaction and we needed help! Dr. D noticed Rubee was having some other problem after a very thorough examination and I agreed to x-rays, after years of going to the same vca I fired I realized that they had missed the fact the her heart is enlarged. It was sad -more than a little overwhelming but everyone was very understanding of my situation. I just needed to think. I would recommend them to anyone that appreciates good care at a reasonable price and they really care.Read Less

THIS IS THE WORST VET I HAVE EVER BEEN TO, NOT ONLY ARE THEY DISHONEST AND NOT KNOW WHAT THEIR DOING, THEIR RUDE AS EVER..I TOOK MY DOG THERE ONE NIGHT BECAUSE HIS PAW WAS SWOLLEN, SO I FIGURED I WILL TAKE HIM TO THE VET SO THEY CAN TAKE OUT WHATEVER IT IS THATS CAUSING HIS PAW TO SWELL..WELL KUMAR OVER THERE WOULDNT EVEN LOOK AT HIS PAW, THEY SAID I NEED TO DROP MY DOG OFF IN THE MORNING CAUSE THEY NEED TO PUT HIM UNDER SO THEY CAN EXPLORE HIS PAW!!! I SAID WHAT TIME SHOULD I DROP HIM OFF OR PICK HIM UP, THEY SAID IN THE MORNING AROUND 7:30 AND HE MIGHT BE ABLE TO SEE HIM AFTER LUNCH BUT WE WILL CALL YOU WHEN HE GETS TO HIM!! AND THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME ALMOST A THOUSAND DOLLARS, SO I SAID SCREW IT, WHEN I LEFT THEY DIDNT EVEN WANT TO GIVE ME A BANDAGE TO COVER HIS PAW TILL THE MORNING, SO THEN I WENT TO THE VET ER IN EL CAJON ON BROADWAY AND THEY SAW MY DOG, TOOK HIM IN THE BACK FOR FIVE MINUTES AND CAME BACK WITH MY DOG AND SAID THERE WAS TWO LITTLE SPLINTERS IN HIS PAW, THEY TOOK IT OUT, BANDAGED HIM UP AND IT COST ME $50, THESE MORANS AT THE SANTEE VET WANTED TO CHARGE ME ALMOST A THOUSAND DOLLARS AND WANTED TO PUT MY DOG UNDER, THAT IS SO SERIOUS, THEY SHOULD GET THEIR LICENSE TAKEN AWAY FOR SUGGESTING TO PUT AN ANIMAL UNDER FOR NO REASON, THAT BLOWS MY MIND..I DONT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO EVER GO THERE!!!! AFTER SPENDING $1,500 a YEAR FOR 8 YEARS I WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN THE DOOR AGAIN I have been buying the r/d food for my pets here for 8 years. (I do not see the Doctors there because I cannot understand their English enough to care for my pet.) Eight years spending $1,500 a year for pet food. Today when I went in there to spend $190 dollars for 6 weeks worth of food I was told I had to bring in my cat to see the vet tech or I would not get any food. I asked to speak to the Dr. and I told him I have been buying food here for 8 years with no problems I do not want to traumatize my eighteen (18) year old cat by bringing him in here so a vet tech can just look at him and to put an extra $20 in your companys pocket. The Dr. said to bad you will not get any food for your cat until you do. I said you are going to lose $1,500 a year for a $20 tech visit? He just shrugged his shoulders. I just laughed and said there are too many other vets around who would be happy to sell me their pet food. I also told him I have noticed that the last two years I never see any other clients in here are you that desperate for money that you have to set up unnecessary appointment just to get money? I WILL NEVER GO TO MAST BLVD PET HOSPITAL AGAIN ALL THEY CARE IS ANY EXTRA MONEY THEY CAN GET. So an update.. I can buy the r/d food through Amazon. I do not need a Doctors visit or a tech visit nor do I need a RX Mast Blvd Pet Hospital really was trying to rip me off for more money. Read Less
