General Info
Reed Animal Hospital Saratoga establishes a veterinary rhythm for families in Saratoga and throughout California that focuses on behavior spatial comfort and care which aligns with natural instincts instead of opposing them. Initial visits typically start in areas with minimal distractions where pets can either explore or become comfortable. Staff members maintain vigilant observation to detect numerous indicators such as tail position pawing behavior and sound reactivity. Physical exams involve checking coat condition along with pulse rate and hydration levels while assessing jaw alignment and gait patterns in addition to observing the pet's reaction to close contact. Every minute aspect gets recorded particularly when dealing with animals unfamiliar with medical settings or those with previous trauma and handling resistance. Reed Animal Hospital Saratoga delivers diagnostic services surgery planning wellness exams mobility tracking parasite prevention and breed-informed wellness forecasting. Veterinary care plans adjust their progression based on individual pet responses to physical contact and environmental shifts including clinic lighting variations, room transitions, and sound levels. This technique proves especially beneficial for families with pets that exhibit hesitation in group settings or show a preference for repetitive activities. Follow-ups are designed to match each household’s schedule and pet’s natural rhythm. Pet owners gain detailed explanations and step-by-step reasoning behind each decision which transforms them from passive observers into active participants in their pet's care process. Reed Animal Hospital Saratoga provides a structured care approach to pet owners in Saratoga and nearby California regions through attention, rhythm, and shared understanding—facilitating each visit to progress with enhanced naturalness and calmness.

Dr, Read is very professional and his staff is the best but his prices are out of this world. We had to have our dog put down this week and asked for cremation and I signed the bill but did not look at it till I got Home. It is $828. I looked on the internet and the most expensive I could find was $400 be careful when you are distraught and ask about the amount. I'm retired and this hurts twice once for the dog and then again to pay $828 for something other vets charge 1/2? Read Less

We don't live as close to Reed Animal Hospital as we used to, but it's still well worth the drive for my cats to remain under their care. My former-feral, Tucker, needed a checkup and I had some concerns about a couple of things, so we made an appointment and saw Dr. Vieyra yesterday - 2/14/17. Tucker allowed her to examine his eyes without fuss so she was able to clearly see his symptoms. He's not always cooperative about that, and I was happy that my cat was so relaxed with her. Dr. Vieyra listened to my concerns, asked questions, and was wonderful with my cat. Tucker needed blood and urine drawn for tests and while this is never pleasant, when the tech brought him back to me, my cat was calm and stepped calmly from her arms back to the exam table. Everyone, from reception, to techs, to the doctors at Reed Animal Hospital have been warm, welcoming, and compassionate without fail. Add this to the exceptional veterinary care they provide and you just won't find anyplace better!Read Less

Last year one of my dogs couldn't leave the house do to a medical condition so Dr reed came to my house 3 times. This kind of service is very hard to find. This week another one of my dogs became very ill. My dog needed to be under their care 24 hrs a day. The doctors and staff kept us well informed multiple times a day. Its very unfortunate my little dog couldn't over come her illness but everyone and I mean everyone at Reed Animal Hospital did all they could for my dog. Dr. Reed and his staff took such great care of our little Rascal today after he inhaled a foxtail. I called at 5:22pm to see if they could get us in, and sure enough they did. The staff was so sweet with our toddler, who was a little anxious to get home. Right when Dr. Reed came in the room my husband and I felt at ease. They completed surgery to remove the foxtail and Rascal was back home with us a couple hours later. We've been dog owners for 8 years and this is the first vet who actually made us feel warm & fuzzy. Dr. Reed definitely earned himself two furry new patients! Read Less
