Dr Robertson is the best. He understands horses and their humans and what both need and want - the best for their horses health and well being. He cares about the horses mental and physical well being and always makes sure he gives the best care and advice. His vet tech assistants are always professional and friendly and caring. My daughter and I had to face the toughest choice of any horse owner this past week - having to put down our beloved horse Caleb who had been with my daughter through her ups and downs for 18 years. At nearly 27 years old, the pain in his legs took a turn for the worse while my daughter was in San Francisco giving a talk. Dr Robertson came out and stabilized Caleb until she could get there. She arrived late the next night and stayed the night with him. Shortly after I arrived from Hawaii the following day, Dr Robertson arrived promptly and talked my daughter through the process. Dr Robertson was thoughtful, caring, and patient throughout the process. Not rushing her decision, once she said yes, he carefully sedated Caleb so he could lay down. Again, Dr Robertson guided my daughter on the process and gave her space to make the choice to say her final goodbye. Once she did, Dr Robertson swiftly, professionally, and carefully helped Caleb transition as gently as we could have hoped. I have used Dr Robertson for my own horses and quite a few of the borders on my horse boarding ranch use Dr Robertson . I've always found him to be excellent in communication , prices knowledge handling and most importantly in the treatment of our loved horses. Dr Robertson recently made a house call to help my dog Renée on her passing I cannot think of a better kinder gentler way than the method Dr Robertson used and the way he talked us through it , he made one of my most difficult days on earth much easier my loved dog just drifted off to sleep when she was in heaven she still looked like she was smiling down here she went peaceful with love and respect .
