First disappointment is that it€s not a warm or friendly environment like it used to be. No one there seems very happy to be working there. (At least, the times I€ve been there).
Another disappointment is that when I asked questions about my pup€s injury and later when I asked questions about his shots, I was quickly brushed off like I was either asking stupid questions or I just wasn€t worth their time to answer my questions thoroughly. I felt like an inconvenience to them.
Third disappointment (and related to the second) is that because of their lack of interest in me and my pet, I ended up giving my pup unnecessary shots (& spending much more $$ than necessary). Had they taken an extra five minutes with me when I was asking how shots worked, I would not have had them give him shots prematurely, and now the shots we just gave him and paid for were a waste of time, money, and hardship for puppy.
Fourth disappointment is that it seems they overcharge you for the simplest things. Maybe this is the norm for all vet offices? I won€t go into detail but I get the feeling I€m being duped with extra charges because what do I know? Maybe my dog needs it? Maybe they€re just being cautious and do every procedure and give you every medication as a precaution (and I appreciate being on the safe side), but since the Vet€s bedside manner is so cold, it ends up seeming like they€re just playing you. I guess it boils down to a trust issue.
Lastly, and pretty important to me, is that a medication was prescribed for my pup (at the time, I thought it was probably an unnecessary medication but I didn€t follow my gut and instead trusted the Vet), and it ended up making him very sick. He was only 8 weeks old and he vomited over and over and he became very lethargic and wouldn€t eat or drink or really respond to me at all. It really scared me. I looked up the medication to find out that many Vets disapprove of giving this medication to puppies. I called to share my concern and Dr. Ron called me back (so that was nice). Unfortunately, he dismissed my concerns and implied it was not true that Vets disapprove of giving this medication to puppies (iow, I must either be lying that this is what I found online or all the Vets that said that are wrong ) and that it€s perfectly normal and okay to give this medication to puppies. Okay, fine, I€m glad you are confident, Dr. Ron, about this medication but it DID, indeed, make my pup extremely sick and it scared the crap out of me, so can I get one smidgen of sympathy?
