I took my small dog into this clinic because he had lost control of his back legs. After 2 visits, and 2 different vets, I was told he would need emergency back surgery or he could become paralysed at a cost of 7000 to $8000. Not being able to afford that amount of money, I started researching other alternatives and found chiropractic for animals. After locating a doctor who answered her cell phone early on a saturday morning, and speaking with her, she told me I would need authorization from my vet. I called as soon as they opened, and was told by the receptionist that the vet, after looking at x ray, would in no way authorise this, it would make the dog worse, he needed back surgery. that was that! not even a conversation about it. I searched for a new vet. Found one, and got an appointment the following Monday. I took my dog in to see Sue, along with a copy of x ray and records. She looked at everything and came into exam room and examend my dog. A bit confused she asked what was going on. After telling her the whole story, she said there was absolutly nothing on the x ray that showed anything! Let alone a reason for surgery! And yes!, absolutly see a chiropractor for the dog. Which we did, and our dog is doing much, much better! I appreciate persons who are able to look past their own nose, and open their mind to possible alternatives to mainstream medical practices, or any practice, and offer help. The moral to this story is..... always get a second opinion!, and look at all your options. I want to say a heart felt thank you to Sue at Laguna veterinary, and Gannelle at life chiropractic!
