I went here last week my vet had an emergency ,my dog was pregnant and we needed her to get check cause she was feeling ill. I got there at 2:15pm waited for over 2hrs to be seen. Finally got seen by ...
I went here last week my vet had an emergency ,my dog was pregnant and we needed her to get check cause she was feeling ill. I got there at 2:15pm waited for over 2hrs to be seen. Finally got seen by the vet who was very rude and was full of accusations, heartless as well. I asked if the pups were fine his answer was lets take an x-ray and see. What does a x-ray have to do with a heartbeat? He never answered my question, end result my dog had stillborn pups a few days later charged me over $200.00 and wanted me to come in for a C-section which would of cost me 1,000. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE.

Dr. Stewart and staff are amazing! They truly care about your animal and explain every detail of the assessment and treatment plan thoroughly. Dr. Stewart is a funny guy and he tries his best to make you and your pet feel at ease. The staff are so friendly from front desk to back office. Sure there may be a wait, but believe me, it is worth it. Top notch care! I highly recommend this vet.

They tryed to charge me $310 just for some x rays.. (Too much)
They dont have a plan to work with u on paying. (If u dont got it ur screwd)

Some info they give u might be wrong. (They told me my dog couldnt mover her legs. Took her home gave her tylenol 5hrs later my dog was walking)

AMAZING! The whole staff is extremely helpful and understanding. I have taken all of my pets here and I have had all my friends and family bring their pets here as well. I moved out of South Gate and still continue to make the drive because of they great care my pets and I receive, they have literally saved my pet's life. The pricing beats any other place, South Gate Dog and Cat Hospital is knowledgeable and inexpensive. I would highly recommend this veterinary hospital to everyone! Their staff is HORRIBLE at client relations and customer service. My particular experience was with Irene who was extraordinarily rude, continually interrupted me, and wouldn't even let me FINISH SPEA...
Their staff is HORRIBLE at client relations and customer service. My particular experience was with Irene who was extraordinarily rude, continually interrupted me, and wouldn't even let me FINISH SPEAKING to ask her a simple question, but rather talked over me louder and louder essentially saying "too bad/so sad I won't help you" until I finally just gave up!! I'm a Vet Tech myself, and this is a COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE way to treat people and clients calling your hospital!!! If you don't want to be treated like an annoyance rather than with courtesy and respect, then GO ELSEWHERE for your pet's care!

If you want you or your pet treated with love and respect maby you should show the same. And as for the person that said the dr. called a 2 am because your dog died. Dr. Stewart is a very nice doctor. He means well by hiring people who speak English and Spanish however he needs to conduct more thorough personality checks on people. The front desk receptionist RAQUEL is not fit for a patient care. I seriously advise for the sake of the business to let her go and hire someone else. Raquel is rude, aggressive, belittling, doesn't have any compassion, non friendly, and just plain mean and bitter. She fails to do her job and then covers up making stories that other people answer your phone when you live alone. Or how she called several times. Really in this day and age cell phones don't just ring for eternity they go to Voicemail. All Lies! If someone's pet is sick why would ignore and say we didn't receive anything? I've had bad service before but she takes it to another level. Almost as if she is best friends with the owner or something. She is one of those mean to the customer never smiles. All smiles and happiness in front of the boss. Such a shame for a business to be dragged into the mud because of the front face representative. Left a very sour taste in my mouth.
