Testimony to how Good God is: Yesterday I decided to walk AJ and Kaylea to school as we walked out the door Jordun' s dog followed. Thinking she would turn around or my daughter would come to get her we continued to walk and so did Tiffany (the dog). As we walked we began to think how cute it was that she was keeping up with us as we kept a watchful eye. We got the kids to school and began to walk back home. Holding her in my arms a short while, I put her down expecting the same results. Tiffany was so excited she began to run in circles, before I knew it, she was hit by a car. I was in shock as I watched the front passenger tire roll over her small body. She began to scream and so did I, "JESUS, JESUS" My mind couldn't think of anything but to pick her up and take her to the hospital, the whole while screaming JESUS until I realized she wasn't crying anymore she was watching me. I get her to the animal clinic, where they were just concerned for me as they were for her. The doctors very knowledgeable. I was happy to find that she has no identifiable eternal damage and no broken bones. Tiffany is about 10lbs... There is power in the name of JESUS! Tiffany was walking hours later. I love the staff at Animal clinic. Dr. Fox has been a vet for 50 years and is very knowledgeable and kind. Dr. Vu is also very sweet. I get only good vibes when going there. They have helped fix our babies and we highly recommend them. Read Less

I was so disappointed! I had a 21-year-old cat that was clearly in bad shape and time for her to go to heaven. It was a hard decision to bring this cat in, she was a neighborhood cat but she was bewildered most of the time blind and in danger of being injured at the resort where I live with all of the summer people about to descend upon the place. I had recommended this place to several people over two years because a couple years ago I had taken a cat in that I've had for 15 years who got very sick and it was $80 which was high but reasonable and it was a great experience. This time stupid me I assume it's going to be about the same price and no one bothers to tell me any different I was quoted no price prior to meeting the doctor. The most disturbing thing that happened was when the doctor walked in and tells me that just because the cat is old doesn't mean I have to put her down she has a right to be old and I should do a thyroid check first. I was floored! Really she wants to run a very expensive, I'm sure, test on a 21-year-old cat that I am telling her has problems I have eight cats at home I think I know what I'm talking about. I shouldn't be made to feel guilty about bringing my pet in and having this procedure done. I told her no it was time for the cat to be put down I've seen quite a few things endangered her little life and I'm not going to see her go out that way. When she finally agrees I go to the front desk and they laid $147 bill on me??? The entire experience was ugly and I would never recommend anyone there again and for the record to the Asian lady who was my vet, I would pay a lot of money for my animals I have several but when I know it's time I don't want some money hungry veterinarian standing there making me feel guilty for decisions like this just because she wants more MONEY! I'm so angry so very very angry. I hope she feels good about herself at the end of the day. With the exception of the tall long haired girl at the front desk, the entire place could use an attitude adjustment and bedside manner skills if I could give it -2 stars I would. Shame on you shame shame. When I was there I saw three elderly ladies with their pets I can only imagine how you're taking them for every penny they've got on fixed incomes this kind of stuff just makes me angry!! Read Less

I never been here at Animal Clinic before and I was really determined to find a new vet place because I didn't like the previous vet places I've been going to before. Right away I felt very comfortable being in there. I also didn't have an appointment but was seen right away for my cat to be checked out because she's been sick for the past couple days! I also love how the clinic's cat was roaming around and curiously hopped on my lap for me to pet it as I waited. All the staff members are very friendly and understanding. Everyone genuinely was concerned about my cats health and made me feel very safe leaving my cat in their care. They went over price options with me and helped me make the best judgment on what was best needed. They also explained everything really well and didn't just throw medical terms at me and expect me to know. I definitely had a refreshing and positive experience as a first timer and will definitely take my cat back for her annual checkups here! Read Less

I will for ever be grateful to Dr Fox and his staff. My canela was super sick this weekend I was a walk in and they still took her in even thou they where busy. She  is her healthy self again they worked with my budget and where so  helpful and I saw that they cared for canelas well being. I will make them my vet for all my pets! Read Less

Dr. Fox is the best vet I've ever been to. He cares. That's the most important thing to us. I called on a Saturday and they didn't even have to pick up but he stayed late just to see our boy and help us out. Our dog has lymphoma and I'm so glad Dr. Fox is there when we need something during this scary time. Thank you! Read Less

Our experience here was really good. The staff was super friendly and dr fox was so knowledge. He addressed all of our doggie concerns and worked up a plan to get our family pet back to normal. The pricing was extremely fair, I feel like some vets try and charge you and arm and a leg but it wasn't like that here. We will be coming back here time and time again. Read Less

I have been going to dr. Fox for a few years now because he is a wonderful and knowledgeable vet. Unfortunately his staff has been rude, uncaring and disorganized to the point that today I have taken my pets elsewhere.  Very sad to see a great clinic brought down by a bad staff. When you have a sick pet these ladies treat you like a nuisance when you call for help. They offer no advice other than we are very busy so take your pet elsewhere. I am new to Stockton and found this vet had good reviews so I went there. I took my 17 year old cat that has had chronic sinus infections for the last several years. I made the appointment on Friday for Saturday but when I got there Saturday i wasn't in the computer. They were booked but were able to see my cat anyway. Dr Fox was so kind and gentle with her. Thus is my vet for my dog and cat. These guys are great to deal with.  Most places are not familiar with my dog since he is a tibetan spaniel. They provide all shots and grooming.  I will never take my animals any place else. Read Less

We only came to this clinic within the past few days because I was unhappy with the treatment provided elsewhere (please see my other reviews).  After being thoroughly irritated at a different animal hospital, my wife took our cat, Stormy, to the Animal Clinic, where they were able to see her in less than an hour.During her visit, Stormy saw Dr. Schreiber, who picked up on some issues the other vet missed.  Based on her observations, Dr. Schreiber prescribed several medications above and beyond what was prescribed elsewhere, and for substantially less cost.  Unfortunately, Stormy's health continued to decline, and we took her back this morning.  Today, we saw the owner, Dr. John Fox.  I don't even know how to say enough good things in this post without it tearing out my heart.  7 years in the Marines, and supplementing my college years by patrolling ranches in Yuba County for coyotes has hardened my heart to putting down animals, but this was different.  In any case, my wife and daughters came with me, said their goodbyes, and I sent them on their way.  Dr. Fox gave Stormy a through exam, and asked if it was okay to take some blood.  Honestly, I was prepared to pay several hundred dollars to keep Stormy around for my wife and daughters, so I said no problem, take what you need.  Dr. Fox came back with the bad news, it wasn't so simple.  I asked several questions about this idea and that idea, and was met with nothing but the straight dope.  In essence this is what Dr. Fox said "We can do these tests for X amount, and maybe isolate exactly what is happening.  Unfortunately, even if we figure it out, Stormy is so small and weak, there is little chance that I can reverse her condition.  And here is why..."  On top of that, he noticed that my wife and daughters had made said their peace with Stormy before they left the clinic. So there was little point in me incurring a huge tab to buy a week of heartache. Holy Crap!  A vet that cares about the animal, and the family that pays the bill!Dr. Fox administered the final injection with he, the vet tech, and myself all touching Stormy. Also, Dr. Fox promised that the goodbye letters my daughters had written would be cremated with Stormy.   He easily could have taken me for $500-$1000, as I'd do whatever it takes to make all of my girls happy, but Dr. Fox showed restraint and compassion for all of us.I've not lost my bearing by putting down an animal for close to 20 years, but this one got me.  In the past, I've joked that a vet isn't a real doctor, as I could do their job with a shotgun.  But Dr. Schreiber and Dr. Fox prove me wrong.If I can bring my family around to getting another pet, there is nowhere else we will go for veterinary care. Miss Daisy my lovable chihuahua and I had an awesome first time visit.  The service was supreme.  She got her shots and was just as happy when we returned home.  I expected her to be drowsy, but she wasn't.  I am the one who took a nap.The place was nice and clean, no pet odors.  The staff is nice and friendly and helpful too! They squeezed us in on a Friday night, never having been there. The entire staff made the process of letting go of our beloved 15 year old Lab, Sadie, as positive and peaceful as humanly possible.
