Nice and spacious new location. State of the art equipment like digital xrays. Dr. Connie was very nice & I felt did a thorough job explaining what was needed. Recently they added an app allowing you to access copies of your fur babys records online at no additional cost. Plus they were able to get my cat seen the next day when it was an urgent matter at no additional cost! Their services are very reasonable to begin with, but anywhere else you'd be paying a big fee for that. Highly recommended. I'm so glad I finally found a one stop shop for my pets!!! I bring both of my dogs in for their grooming and their checkups here.  All of the receptionist are really helpful, professional, and nice! One of my dogs is really aggressive and hates going to the groomers but to my surprise when I picked him up he was brought out without a muzzle, had a great haircut, and he was happy!! This Vet has suspicious behavior. Took my dog in happy & healthy for grooming and when he came home he was in serious pain for an unnecessary procedure they did on his eye. In which the end result as far as they were concerned was the removal of my dogs eye. When second and third Vet saw my dog they said all reports were false. My dog never had an eye problem. Seems they were seeking to go from getting paid 30 bucks for grooming to over $400 for something that did not exist. My poor pooch... I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TAKE THERE ANIMAL HERE FOR ANY SERVICE. I called and inquired about grooming with sedation.  I was in need of an experienced groomer at a vets office because my dog is very sensitive and it's not always possible to groom him without our vet stepping in with medication to calm him down.   When I called I explain in great detail, breed of dog, type of coat, weight, behavior all his grooming experiences, his current hot spot on his front leg and why he may be also be more difficult to work on and higher anxiety. The only reason I was seeking a new groomer was because my current groomer is on disability and can't groom large dogs at this time.  I got a quote over the phone,  it was reasonable and about what I would expect to pay.  A lot of money but I have a large dog that takes a ton of brushing and drying this equals time and I strongly believe you get what you pay for so I will pay for quality. Now the day of my appointment the quote is getting higher in the office than what was quoted over the phone. I was still pleased with the customer services and care of the staff that was fine as long as he looks good and well taken care of I am fine with this amount quoted.Then I  received additional phone calls that the price will be increasing as more medication is needed and higher sedation levels required. After I agree to this the phone calls end no more communication in regards to how the grooming going. These phone calls were to insure I would pay more, no make phone calls to update about grooming results or anything more. Sure I am shocked at this point his grooming bill has almost tripled what I am use to paying and doubled the phone quote. Oh well nothing can be done it is what it is but I am sure he will look amazing as everyone seems so professional and experienced.I get the phone call at 5 pm he is ready to be picked up. This is much earlier than told in the office he would be ready around closing 6:30-7pm. I asked the lady who called is he sober and completely dried. she was the first unpleasant staff person I spoke with as She repeated my question and said that is why I called he is ready.  Hmm ok, oh well no big deal not everyone has a friendly  personality. I get there and they say they are spraying him down with Cologne.  He comes out and is wet on one side. He has a bare spot on his back high part of his leg. I  am not overly pleased with his appearance. Then I pet him and find an over groomed area red inflamed  skin and almost bare on his side.  Now I am crushed, his skin and coat are damaged. He is injured from incompetence.  $425 for this is not acceptable at all. He should look Westminster ready and he is anything but.  I discussed how this is not right. I am worried about his skin now any dermatological issue this could be caused, his coat not growing back, the pain he was in and being drugged and fully sedated there should be no reason for this.   I asked for $200 back that's half of what I paid as they did a half job on him. Then they bring him out again, with reason why he was still wet, the point being he can't leave wet at all he is a wooly coat any moisture left on him will cause his fur to knot up and cause hot spots. This manager lady starts to look and sees oh yes he is still wet down to the skin and then I see what looks like black pepper flakes. I feel this is flea dirt and my dogs do not have fleas, they are indoor only dogs. At this point she gets snippy says if it was fleas it would be red. She tells the employee up front to refund the grooming. I also said I would like the office visit refunded as there was a special offer for that to be waved as well for first time customers they  agreed.  So now I am out of pocket $257.38 for a dog that is still basically dirty,  has two bare spots, he is still recovering today from being highly sedated. Last night he vomited, this morning he is not eating and is very exhausted.   He is being observed at home and if more of his conditions get worse he will be going into our vet.   I was called at 5 pm to pick up my fully groomed, sober and dried dog.  2 hours later at 7 pm I left with a almost dried dog, ( his head was still moist),  dirty ( there is no going back to fix this he can't be sedated again) ,  bared spots that I hope have not damaged his skin and that the fur grows back.  I am out of pocket still for an amount that would be what I would expect to pay for a dog that looked recently groomed, instead my dog looks due for a bath. Disappointed, is understatement.  I feel horrible that I put my dog through this.  Overpriced and unacceptable  results.  Crushed by how this all ended. Read Less

Brought my shih tzu in for an annual wellness check and some booster shots. Our vet tech was Megan and she was great. While we were in the waiting room we chatted about pet insurance and all the different options available. I've switched my insurance from nationwide to trupanion thanks to her (don't forget to ask about it so you can get a code to get your enrollment fee waived). Met with Dr. Connie and she is the sweetest person ever! She was great with Juju and took her time to fully examine her and ask all the right questions about food, flea control, dental care, heart worm, etc. She didn't rush to end the appointment but really took her time and made sure I understood all my options for preventative care. At the end of the appointment, Megan was able to give me a print out with all the suggestions Dr. Connie made and the cost for each item. I appreciate that they gave me the choice to decide and didn't pressure me right then and there to make a decision. I couldn't have asked for better service. From the front staff who greeted me with a smile to the Vet, who answered my questions and also informed me of things I didn't know about my kitten. I'm fostering a kitten who was the only survivor of a litter of 5 and she was only 13 ounces and I was informed she was most likely the runt and about 2 weeks old. Running nose and eyes stuck shut. Both of our dogs were struck by a vehicle. One of them died. We brought them both here as an emergency visit because they are close to us. Dr. Connie and her staff were AMAZING! They were absolutely caring and sympathetic with us as we were crying and making decisions about our dogs' care and remains. Dr. Connie checked Bentley with love and care. They have sympathetically worked with our mind-changing for Corvette's remains. Dr. Hung and her staff were wonderful. They were able to give us an appointment the day we called. We came in with a very sick kitty and a very tight budget. They didn't make us feel bad about having to cut off diagnostic procedures we couldn't afford and worked with us to make the best-educated guess about what was ailing our kitty. They were able to do the lab work right on site and we were able to go home with treatment that day. While I waited the staff was friendly and compassionate. The vet followed up with me via email that night with more information and the office called the next day to see how my kitten was doing. When it comes to vets, I can't say I've ever really picked out a place for my dogs or gotten any recommendations for it.  Previously, my parents would handle that, and pick the cheapest options they could find in the Penny Saver.  Since those times are over, and a new puppy recently joined our family, it was time for us and our new member to find somewhere that he'll be able to get more than just his shots. I chose this vet in particular because my friend recently took his litter of 9 German Shepherd puppies (one of which soon became my dog, Cyrus!) to get their first check-up, deworming, and Parvovirus shots. Since Cyrus had already been to this vet, and the Parvovirus shot was pretty cheap, I decided to be consistent with his vets so we could keep his records more organized.  I walked in today without an appointment and asked if I could do a check-up and second Parvovirus shot for my dog.  They were able to take in his records and set up a file for him and get him all set within 30 minutes of our arrival.  To kill time, we walked around the small clinic, and I was happy to see that they make nice accommodations for pet owners with a little room designated for coffee, snacks, and a little table.  There was also an area for information pamphlets that I took a few of, as well as some doggy treats open for dogs visiting.  Cyrus got one of those before checking in.Our vet-tech was super nice and gave Cyrus soft treats as he got his weight done and temperature taken while we waited for the vet.  Dr. Connie Hung came in to check out Cyrus: she checked his heart and lungs, and was very good at answering any questions we had regarding our pup.  She recommended that I put him on a puppy plan with their clinic to save a little extra money, and to pay for all of his visits and shots in two payment plans. It was about $150 for this first visit (which included his shot, deworming, and medicine) and the same for his second trip. The puppy plan also included two stool samples, his future rabbis shot, a discount on micro chipping, and a discount on neutering. Overall, a wise puppy investment. The best part of it was how nice everyone was to us!  They adored Cyrus, and I'm so happy he was on his best behavior while he was there.  They all thought he was so cute, and even took a photo of him for his medical records as well as their Instagram. And they even gave Cyrus a goody bag with his records and puppy kibble!  Overall Results:5/5 stars. Hours after the appointment, Dr. Hung even emailed me about information regarding my puppy.  That's definitely going above and beyond, and it's much appreciated having vets that care just as much as we do for our dog.  I'm looking forward to our next appointments and taking my pup to this vet! We love this vet hospital.  We have two rescue puppies and they are very careful and diligent on making sure that they are comfortable and happy.  We have also used them for kenneling which was scary for us as we have never kenneled our animals.  The service that our dogs received was wonderful.  They came home so healthy and happy and not scarred at all.  The staff at Bear Creek Vet Hospital are the best! I had been having with my pup with skin issues. He was miserable scratching and he had sores all over. I had been to my vet 3 different times and a specialist. Nothing was working. I was referred to Bear Creek Veterinary Hospital by a friend and made an appointment. I was so worried about my dog whom I've never taken to the Vet previously. He was given to me by a neighbor about a year ago and I got his shots; however, one thing which concerned me greatly was his weight. I took link in to see the Doctor at Bear Creek. Both she and the Vet tech were very patient, calm, and understanding. They did not make me feel pressured about treatment options and pricing. I had to take my pup to Bear Creek for an emergency visit after she had a seizure. Bloodwork was done She was only 1 & 1/2 years old and I was overcharged I paid for geriatric bloodwork which is $100.00 more than for her age. My pup was then misdiagnosed and given medication that would do no good for her. I feel the Dr wrote off my pup. I was told to [phone after every seizure if she had more. I did I have a list and he never phoned. He didn't even recommend an MRI which is what she needed to be diagnosed. When the staff took my pups blood They hurt her and left horrible bruises on her neck like she was being choked and the vet tech came in the room to tell me they had not even touched her and she screamed, Not true. She had multiple puncture wounds from them. My pup was 4 lbs and did not need restraining. I have pictures. After I ended up at uc davis with her the vet from Bear Creek found out he misdiagnosed my pup and did not even apologize or refund my money. I will NEVER take another pet to this place Read Less

Our assorted dogs have been patients at Bear Creek Veterinary Hospital for over twenty years. We've gone from puppy to old age more than once. We've had some serious health issues and some "Did he really do that?" issues too. Honestly, I cannot say enough good about the care and compassion that Dr. Singh and his staff have shown all of us, especially when we have dealt with serious health issues and end of life. Not only are Dr. Singh and his staff excellent with the animals but they also do so well with their two-legged caretakers. All questions are answered, advice and suggestions are given, alternatives discussed. A new pup is completely examined and evaluated and in such a manner as to make it not a horrible experience for the little one. Do my dogs dash in the door at BCV with glee? No...it is a vets after all! But they don't cower or shiver either. They get some pets and loves and maybe a treat so it isn't too bad.
