I searched for a long time to find a vet I felt confident would do a great job cropping my doberman puppy's ears. After reading the reviews on a couple different websites, I knew Dr. Kim seemed like the right fit for the job. I didn't mind driving the 45 minutes it would take to get there. My first contact with Dr. Kim, occurred over a year ago, when our €primary veterinarian€ with whom we have had for years refused to board our animal. Our dog, which is a half lab/pit-bull mix (she looks more pit-bull to me!) is friendly towards family but growls whenever strangers come near her. She has to be muzzled just for her to receive her annual vaccinations and check-up. When I spoke with Dr. Kim and explained our circumstances, he understood and stated that they would gladly look after our dog! To say I was elated was an understatement and have been coming back here since then. We have boarded our dog on two occasions and they have cared for our dog and returned her back to us in good health. Being that our dog is on the €grouchy side€ they just make sure that she receives her daily ration and fresh water. To the best of my knowledge, on the last occasion, the people who cared for our dog said that after a few days, she did warm up to one of their staff, which is encouraging because we have never taught any of our animals to be aggressive towards other which probably explains her €pit-bull€ half!? There boarding facilities here are clean and maintained to sanitary standards. The location itself is another story€. €Dr. Jae B. Kim is a licensed veterinarian, providing care to dogs and cats of all breeds, shapes, and sizes for over 26 years! Dr. Kim and his son Dr. John Kim saved my doberman's life. She was throwing up, was very lethargic and would not eat or drink for days. I took her in to find that she had a blockage and surgery needed to be done.  They stayed after closing hours to late night to perform surgery on her. Had they waited the next day she may not have made it.  Because they acted quickly, there were no complications. They gave me a very reasonable quote and kept their word. They were so patient with me answering all my questions and concerns. I have a doberman pinscher and I was looking for a ear cropping service around Sacramento. Found one but they were charging over $700 for cropping service.
