General Info
This hospital was opened in 1981 with the mission to end the tremendous overpopulation of dogs and cats in the San Joaquin Valley, California. Dr. Richard Herbert graduated from U.C. Davis in 1979 and eventually started hospitals in Stockton, Modesto, Lodi, and Tracy, California, with this goal in mind. Currently, more than 200,000 spays and neuters have been done at these hospitals.
Pacific Veterinary Hospital was initially designed to provide low-cost spaying, neutering, and vaccinations and were eventually expanded to become full-service veterinary hospitals. We provide quality veterinary medicine, spays, neuters, and vaccinations at reasonable rates.

I used to recommend this vet but this past week we had an emergency with our little chiweenie who was screaming in pain. We rushed in and they told us they werent seeing walk ins today and emergency or not we'd need an appointment. I could not believe they turned away an animal in obvious pain, and nor could 3 people in the waiting room.

Excellent vets and staff. I've had many cats and dogs in my 60 plus years, and have had to move around quite a bit. My pets had nothing but the best care here.

I bring all my cats to this hospital. I rescue many strays and always bring them here to get their shots and get fixed. The staff here is amazing and the prices are also very good. Also one of my cats...
I bring all my cats to this hospital. I rescue many strays and always bring them here to get their shots and get fixed. The staff here is amazing and the prices are also very good. Also one of my cats became really sick and we brought her here. They were very quick and patient with her. She is not a friendly cat to strangers. They were able to figure out her issue fast and fixed her up in no time. I recommend this vet to anyone. They are amazing.

I've been here with my cats a couple of times. The staff and vets are really friendly and personable. Prices are average I'd say; $40 for office visit, depo injection is $47, heartworm/fiv/felv combo test is $42. It doesn't seem like they'll push for any unnecessary treatments or tests, in fact my vet has so far just recommended giving my kitties fish oil to help with some skin problems one of them is currently having (luckily the steroid shot cleared it right up, but I'll be starting them on it if my kitty starts developing feline acne again).It's very clean too from what I've seen. Though they do have walk-ins available it's recommended you schedule an appointment or else you'll likely end up waiting over an hour.

The office took me on short notice when I had a very sick dog and my regular vet couldn't see me. The care was superb. She suspected what was wrong with my dog and what tests to run to confirm it. I came in with my dog Foxy because there was something wrong with her right ear. She didn't have a leash on so they gave me one :) I was standing there for about 10 minutes before anyone asked if they could help me. I didn't have an appointment but after the lady filled out some paper work for me, they put me in a room with Foxy and Dr Bussell came to talk with me right away. She took Foxy into another room and she came back to the room I was at and she had a foxtail in her hand that came from Foxy's ear!I was so happy that they found the problem. I was unenthusiastic about the price (because I am poor) but as long as Foxy feels better is what really matters. So it was $35 for the office visit, $60 for the foxtail removal and it was actually $40 for her shots; $25 for (5 in 1) annual DHPP and $15 for 3 year rabies shot.. $135 all together.Very grateful for their help. I will be returning with my other pets if need be. I'll also make sure I have an appointment because when I left the waiting room was full. (I came in on a Monday at about 2:30)
