Neither of these Dr's should be trusted with your pet. Please read the whole story.I was initially happy with Dr Ahedo, he seemed to be knowledgable and friendly. It wasn't until my dog became very sick and it was an emergency that I found out what this office was all about. I was talking to the Dr about some type of payment plan as the surgery that we were going to do was going to be very expensive. I am a retuning Veteran that lives on my GI Bill. I don't have a ton of expendable money, but could pay it off over a couple months as we had spoke about. He said he would send me an estimate and we would work from there. I got he estimate and it was even higher than I had imagined. I had come in last week to refill the antibiotics so and talk to the Dr about how we would proceed with her surgery and the plan on payment. My dog became very Ill, she had a very serious infection, and possibly more than that could be life threatening. I called in the morning as this came about in the middle of the night. I was absolutely beside myself at the thought of losing my beloved pet and best friend. The staff was cold and rude. They had no record of my conversation and said they would never even have the conversation. I was about to break down, as everything that I had been told would happen, was no longer happening. On top of all of this Dr Ahedo was now out of town on vacation. Nobody had ever mentioned that he was going to be gone. I don't expect the world to cater to me, but I do believe that individuals that are in the healthcare field should care about patients first and not ask for payment first (especially when we had an agreement ahead of time). The staff was all rude, and told me to go somewhere else. The Dr covering for Dr Ahedo was the worst Dr I have ever spoken with, he was yelling at me over the phone before even listening to what I had to say. I did end up at another vet in town. He not only saw me right away, but had me back in for surgery within two days. After the surgery I spoke with the new Dr, and asked him if I should continue the meds from Dr Ahedo, he not only told me that I shouldn't give them to her anymore, but also they were not indicated for the type of infection she has. Dr Ahedo and Dr Owen are two of the worst Dr's in the Stockton area. They are priced incredibly high, I paid $300 less than half for her surgery at the other Dr and received phenomenal care. I would not ever take my dog back to either of these Dr's and would question if they should even be practicing any longer. Hey obviously are trying to cater to a wealthier clientele and overcharge them, most likely because they know that they probably will never ask about or look into what they are being charged. Don't be fooled by either of these Dr's they are only out to get your money and probably won't take care, or proper care of your animal. Its not that hard to find out what antibiotics to prescribe for a bladder infection. This is elementary and obviously too hard for either of these Dr's. Read Less
