Dr. left to the lab with my puppy for a long time and the wait was very very long. I had to go back to get more information about the diagnosis. For several years, I've struggled to find a vet that I like. I'd go to an office and I'd never feel good enough to return again. I recently had a terrible experience with another vet, and later found out that their license had been suspended (you can review such records online). When my kitten got sick, I spent time doing research first and then contacted the East Valley Clinic. My kitten got sick soon after he came home. I brought him to see Dr. Hart and I was very pleased. She exhibited sincere compassion for my kitten, and was honest and direct with her treatment plan. She explained the blood tests that she was ordering, and she only ordered what was necessary. Most vets try to get you for as much as they can! After a couple of weeks of treatment and some improvements, my kitten got sicker. When we brought him in to see Dr. Hart again, our worst fears were confirmed- it was the dry form of FIP and we had to have him euthanized. Dr. Hart explained this evil disease to us and was very sorry for our loss. Another one of my cats recently had an issue with his ears, and he's also got a slightly misshapen jaw so he needed some dental work. This cat is built like a tank and is incredibly difficult to wrangle. This was the first time that a veterinary office didn't refer to him as a problem or act like they were being burdened by treating him. He had his surgery last week, and his breath is soooo much better. It took years, but I've finally found a vet that I can trust. This clinic is very reasonably priced, and they really do care about their patients. The folks in the front office are friendly and kind, as are all of the vet techs. Dr Mark Hohne has simply saved my dogs life and mine as well. I don't know how we would've survived my Bulldog Harlow's first three years if we didn't have him. I don't know that she would be here today and the care n compassion that he has shown to me and everybody at East Valley has shown to me has been exemplary. I hated them they quoted me a price on the phone and told me there was no appointments that day then an hour later they called me and said yep we can see you and when I got there with my sick puppy they said all we forgot to tell you walk-ins are $25 more than what we quoted you great business isn't that! We go to Dr Hohne office for 8 years, and we simple Love him! He is the best , all our rescue dogs got excellent care, a lot of attention and love. Dr. Hohne takes wonderful care of me! I had some dental work done yesterday and you'd never know it! I needed to be put under to get some teeth extracted (don't eat too many sweets, my friends). I was happy to hear they'd were going to be using propofol (otherwise known as "Micheal Jackson Juice",or my favorite- "Milk of Amnesia"). Propofol has gotten a bad reputation, since the unfortunate Micheal Jackson situation. It's a very safe medication when used in the proper setting if you're closely monitored, ie: not at home! it's actually much safer than what some other places call "sedated" teeth cleaning using medications like Valium and Morphine which can effect patients less predictably and stay in your system longer than propofol. I went to Dr. Hohne on recommendations from Facebook. He quickly diagnosed my cat with massive hard tumors, the worst diagnosis I could've gotten. Naturally, I was crying and heartbroken. He referred me straight to an oncologist, and was kind enough to call me the very next morning to tell me I could call him with any questions. I started taking my pets to East Valley vet approximately 9 years ago when I couldn't afford the vet visits any longer at my regular vet. I now have 2 cats and 4 dogs and East Valley Vet always accommodates same day appointments. Dr Hohne is great with my animals and he always calls after a procedure to make sure that they are doing good which means everything to me. My little kitten was sick - she had been diagnosed with FIP then we had her fluid drained, she developed an infection but was fighting it pretty well until Wednesday when the infection spread. At first it was her leg - she was still eating and drinking so we decided to try and treat both the original infection site and her leg in hopes that it would drain and get better. By 2am, the infection was in both back legs and the poor kitten was suffering. I had never heard of this vet clinic before but I was desperately seeking for a vet clinic that opened early close to where I live - I found this place. I called at 6am, the minute they opened to see if they could see us. I explained that we needed to have her put to sleep. The woman was lovely, told us to bring her straight away. When we got there, I was so upset I could barely speak - the receptionist was so caring, compassionate and understanding. We were seen to within 3 minutes of walking through the door. The Vet Tech and Vet were just wonderful. They explained the process and were very compassionate. Again I could barely compose myself to tell them my name, but they understood. They sedated our little kitten and left us with her for a few minutes to allow it to take effect. They checked in on us and told us we could take all the time we needed. We were ready, they administered the final dose and our little kitten was gone. I cannot say enough good things about this clinic and its staff. They are amazing. They made one of the hardest things in the world so much easier, they didnt rush us or pressure us and they clearly care about their animals and the owners. I am just sorry it took such a tragedy for me to find them. I will be taking our other little kitten there any time he needs anything. To the staff - (I am sorry I didnt get your names) - Thank you so much for helping us and being such wonderful, kind and caring people.
