My miniature horse developed an eye problem. I used this company in the past and was not dissatisfied. I called them again. I felt an eye problem was an emergency but apparently the receptionist Rebecca and the vet, Cynthia Standley did not, telling me no one was available to respond until the next day.The next day Cynthia Standley arrives on time and treated a SERIOUS eye problem.I capitalized serious because Cynthia statd the horse could have died from the injury.Cynthia also stated the horse was in substantial pain. Thank  you very much for allowing my horse to experience this pain by not responding the previous day.During the treatment she told me giving my horse Zertec-D was not correct and asked me who told me to do that. I hesitated and Cynthia said she didnt care who told me, she just wanted to know. It should have been embarassing to her when I said she gave me the instructions on her previous visit.Ok, she took my credit card information and said she will provide the billing the next day. Cynthia sent me an email with the invoice stating they will not charge my card until they heard from me.I responding and indicated I disagreed with the billing. Rebecca stated, we've already run the card and we're not adjusting the invoice. So much for waiting to hear from me.The invoice charged me with many items but what concerned me is they charged me for "treatment", then they charged me for administering medication. So I asked how they can treat my horse without giving him medication.....they had already charged seperatly for the medication. Rebecca stated thats the way they do it.Im surprized they did not charge me for using my water and my hose to treat my horse. So, I called three other large Veterinarian Services and without mentioning names asked them about the billing and the proceedure of taking my card without providing an invoice at the time of treatment.ALL three stated it was not proper and indicated this a good example of poor business practice and an addition,  they stated the treatment item was double billing and not acceptable. To me its THEFT!In all fairness my horses eye is better but, if you must use Cynthia Standley and Equine Medical Associates, BEWARE, watch their billing and do not provide payment without a written invoice.
