I truly do not have the words to describe how lucky my best friend Seymour and I were to find such an incredibly passionate and knowledgable veterinary team. My boxer Seymour, was lucky enough to be a patient of Dr. Montana's from when he was just a pup. He was a very mischievous little buddy and was constantly getting into trouble. Dr. Montana and her staff always offered him exceptional care from routine vaccinations and visits to porcupine run ins and ski accidents. As many dog owners know, these accidents always happen at night and on the weekends, and Dr. Montana's team was always willing and ready to help! Unfortunately, Seymour was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma several months ago, and became a very frequent visitor to to animal hospital. Dr. Montana and her staff were incredibly attentive to my questions and needs, but more importantly had Seymour's well being as their #1 priority. They gave him nicknames, made him feel comfortable, and of course gave him lots and lots of treats (which he loved). When special diagnosis was needed, Dr. Montana recommended that we take Seymour to see an oncologist at UC Davis. We felt so incredibly lucky that Dr. Montana was able to provide all of Seymour's chemotherapy right in the office in Tahoe Vista. She was honest yet hopeful. She brought our sweet friend back to life several times, and we will spend the rest of our days feeling so incredibly thankful for that! Seymour's diagnosis was impossibly hard, but knowing that he was afforded the best possible care always brought us so much peace. Whether you are a local or an out of towner, you will not find a more incredibly knowledgable vet nor will you find more passionate vet techs. I can't imagine taking my pet anywhere else! Chose this place to board my dog for a long weekend due to their commercials advertising walks in the national forest. When I picked up my lab, they claimed to have lost that part of my reservation (despite it being written). Worse, they handed me my dog bed back soaked in dog urine blaming my poor house broken pet (who is regularly home while I work 8 to 10 hours, without incident). Then they claimed to be short staffed due to the vet's hospital they also run. When I said that they should've phoned me, that I don't treat my dog this way, they had a manager phone me after I left only to hang up on me (?#!).
