Heartless vet on call, cold and uncomfortable person to talk to. I’m crying over my pet and she is forcing me to make a quick decision on the spot. Oh and she wasn’t suppose to be on call that night, we ruined her evening. Well my life was flipped upside down! I would of spent all the money in the world to save her. In the end, I had to let her go. $2700 later and my baby was gone. Seriously second guessing the diagnosis now after reading all the comments. Read Less

Let me start by saying that your job is not a difficult one. You take advantage of people's love for their pets. You're a necessary evil and nothing more. I could do your job if I had the medical equipment and that's the part that infuriates me the most. The doctor here is also the owner and just another heartless vet that's only in it for the money. Typical of this industry... takes advantage of your love for your pet and charges outrageous prices. The quality of care is substandard at best. Its quite literally extortion since they know you have no option but to trust that they will provide the care your animal needs to survive... at any cost. Doesn't do what's in the best interest of the animal, just what's in the best interest of his bank account. People like this is why the world sucks. Read Less

This place welcomed my family gave us great service. From the minute we called to walking in and leaving they were concerned and listened and helped my dog in every way. The prices were fantastic. We even got a follow up call to check on our baby. The receptionist knew how to help us smile when we were worried and guided us on how to care for my dog. I give this place a plus 100 !! Read Less

I arrived after midnight with my very sick dog. So grateful to their caring staff and Dr. Fang is an excellent vet. He is compassionate, determined and figured out quite quickly what was going on with my dog. The prices were reasonable and I very much appreciated them not pushing a lot of unnecessary things. So glad I did not go to CVS this time. I am sure it would have been 4 times more expensive, and I probably would have paid for a lot of unnecessary things to get to the same outcome. Read Less

Don't hesitate to bring  your pet here in an emergency. Dr. Bayon and Dr. Fang are both knowledgeable and caring vets. The vet techs are wonderful too. They cared for our dog who had diabetic ketoacidosis and pancreatitis among other things. We are very grateful for the care he received. My dog is doing much better now! Read Less

An excellent and comforting experience. It was a Saturday night and my rabbit's symptoms exponentially increased. I live in the high desert and it appears there is no longer a rabbit vet up here, nor is there one available after hours except for this clinic, which is 125miles from home. After an hour of numerous calls and referrals to referrals, I finally left home after 10pm, and I'm so grateful this place was not only open, but also had an on-shift rabbit expert, Dr. Bayon. He spoke the language of a rabbit provider, listened to the symptoms, addressed my concerns, and advised me / treated my geriatric bunny appropriately. Words cannot describe... Thank you. Read Less

What a good-hearted veterinary office.  This pet emergency room did great work.  They went above and beyond in their care for my Maltese dog who was attacked by a coyote.  The first thing they asked was if they could give my dog something for the pain.  In the next couple hours they assessed him, while taking care of at least two other dogs.  Dr. Alonso Bayon explained things to me in an understandable, compassionate way.  He was nice about the fact that I didn't want to spend a fortune on my dog's recovery.  They gave me two typed-up estimates (high and low) of the cost to care for my dog.  Everyone there was kind, caring and efficient.  They made no effort to steal my business from my regular vet: they don't do 'routine' veterinary services.  They are strictly an emergency room.  This would make a great TV show.  Anyway, my extended family has brought animals in need here several times over the past couple decades, and we have never been disappointed.  It's only open during the graveyard shift when the other vets are not open, but they don't try to gouge you with high prices.  I appreciated the no-brainer way they packaged my pet's medication, as I was a little stressed out and depressed by the condition my dog was in.  It was all in liquid form, some in pre-measured syringes, so I didn't have to force a pill down my dog's throat.  My dog has bounced back after a rough couple of days, and he is rockin' his manly stitches. The staff at this location are great! I HIGHLY suggest to the owner to have more than one vet working. Considering emergencies can comeIn at any time. Which makes the wait longer for everyone else. Kind of on the steep side in pricing but definitely a lot better than CVS emergency animal clinic. Just for testing on my cat was over 1,000. That was without treatment and diagnosis. Read Less

I'm glad they are open in the evening and overnight. We have had more pet emergencies than we have emergencies for our children so we are grateful that we have this place near our home. Tonight we had a crazy event... one of the dogs got his tongue caught in a half-opened can of cat food. Fortunately everything is fine now but it was stressful for a little bit while I waited. The staff has always been really kind.  I'm grateful for people who willingly work a graveyard shift so we can have emergency pet services when we need them. Read Less

small dog ate sewing straight pins, they removed them via surgery...fair price. great staff. my "go to" for late/off hr dog car. went in recently (same dog) 17 yr old...they took care of him, peace of mind...fair price. I looked up other "reviewers"...that gave 1 star...their history is one of 1 stars...on stores/companies around the USA. lol. fake imo. I would recommend this emergency clinic for any pet emergency!!! Dr Pace was professional and amazing. Although the outcome was not what I would have hoped for, he was honest and reasonable with us. As busy as they were, I never felt liked I was rushed or taking up their time. I felt like everyone there truly cared throughout the whole process. Dr Pace is number one in my book and a great vet. My Pomeranian was attacked by other dogs on a Sunday and the clinic staff were ready and waiting for him as soon as I arrived. They quickly got him on pain meds, assesed his injuries and provided me with a full rundown of expected costs. They were compassionate and honest with me about what they could do for him and after a lot of thinking, we made the tough decision to say goodbye. The Dr was kind and gentle and reaffirmed my decision, making letting go a bit easier. From what I saw in the afternoon I spent there, they are an incredibly kind and patient staff, doing the very best job they can. Last December our baby Franni was coughing uncontrollably. Brought her here, they took X-rays, exam less than $280. Turns out Dr on that night spent time in Cardiology. Our little Fran had an enlarged heart pressing on her esophagus. Medications (2) and referral was included in that price as well. Less than my average vet office visit with an appointment. Recently my little Franni was mauled. We took her here. After attempts to save her life, she succumbed to her injuries. They made certain from the onset she was without pain. They went above and beyond, with the vet and three techs for a couple hours doing everything to fix her. We considered the $600 to be a bargain. They arranged for her cremation as well. A heartfelt thank you to the Emergency Vet Clinic DVM's and all of their Staff. You made this most difficult of times easier with your professionalism and kindness. Thank you. Read Less

I brought my cat here last night after he refused any food or water throughout the day and by the end of the night he was barely moving. From my experience with cats, typically when they start showing signs of distress they are typically in pretty bad shape. They are animals that are tend too hide their illnesses until they are really in bad shape. I went in knowing I'd most likely be spending $100 before any actual treatment since they are an emergency clinic. I consider my fur babies family but unfortunately the realistic side of paying for an animals care is not like a human. There are no insurance companies (and even the ones that they do have, have long lists of exclusions, and cover through reimbursement for what you already had to pay out of pocket). We have had our sweet cat for 12 years and with his behavior I walked in trying to prepare myself for the worst. The Doctor was very kind and thoroughly explained what his ideal plan would be for treatment (and of course it was easily over $1000). After talking to the staff and doctor more they started by running a blood test and from those results they were able to put together a plan B treatment plan that would require a follow up with our regular veterinary clinic. They were able to help me apply for care credit and the new treatment plan was much more affordable for our family. They never once made me feel bad about what we could afford, they were very friendly, and my sweet cat is home and already doing tremendously better. I'm very thankful for the professionalism of this office and would recommend them to anyone in need of emergency medical care for their sweet fur babies. Read Less

I took my chihuahua in after she started crying uncontrollably. They charged me almost 500 dollars to do blood work, X-ray and physical examination on her and concluded that she was just fat and probably just pulled a muscle. I told her that it couldn't be it and asked that they check again and they did an X-ray on another part of her body but they said there was nothing wrong with her and sold me some pain medication to give her. They said to follow up with her regular vet if she didn't improve in two weeks. So Two weeks went by and they crying just got worse and worse so we took her in to a vet and he reviewed the x Rays that were already done by this vet and instantly saw that she had arthritis. I honestly can't believe they didn't notice that in the X-rays and gave her pain killers to shut her up. I'm so upset by the lack of expertise/Knowledge of this vet. The worst part isn't the over priced tests but the fact that my poor little girl has been in so much pain this entire time because they misdiagnosed her and didn't care enough to look closely at the X-rays. We had an emergency with our 6 month old Corgi on a Friday evening at 10pm. He swallowed a small toy and Emergency Pet Clinic is the first 24 hour clinic I could find in my panic. The man on the phone calmed me down and told me to bring our baby straight in and that he would notify the staff that we were coming. We were there for just about an hour but the staff were so friendly and genuinely concerned for our boy. They were able to retrieve the small toy by inducing vomiting and sent us home as soon as he was able to go! We absolutely appreciate them making our first scare as dog owners not seem so scary! Definitely recommend. This place saved my dog from dying. I liked that they kept the cost lower than I expected and the vet tried to keep the costs down by recommending I take my dog home sooner. They also had free coffee. The only thing I didn't like was that some of the staff was rude even when I  was being polite the entire time. The place also looks a little old, but not a big deal for me. The pros definitely outweighed the cons for me. I would definitely recommend this place. Read Less

After breaking many laws to drive my bff (nascar style) and her bleeding Weiner dog 35 miles through wine country after being turned away from a closer vet that had just closed... we ended up at this hospital.  The reception desk was nice enough.  They took him from her arms and we both just sort of collapsed.  We were brought into an exam room where we waited for about an hour to hear if he was still alive.  A girl entered the room with an invoice.  She said he had deep wounds (he was in a fight with her other dogs) and it was going to cost well over two thousand dollars to patch him up.  My friend was so distraught she agreed of course but told them we had both jumped in the truck without our checkbooks.  They INSISTED it be paid in full before they would touch him.  We explained her ranch was 35 miles or more away and asked if she could bring it in the morning when she picks him up.  NO.  Could we drive back to the ranch so I can get my car and drop off the check on my way home tonight?  NO.  Could we leave and my friend will come back with her check and I will go home?  NO.  "One of you has to stay here".  What if she leaves her license (it was already in her truck) NO.  We begged and pleaded.  To top it off my friend has cancer and had just received a treatment and was totally exhausted.  They didn't care.  She had to scrape up 400 dollars to give them just to leave and come back with her checkbook but told us they wouldn't touch him until she came back and if he dies oh well.....  GUESS WHAT???  When she returned to the hospital and  finally saw her dog his cuts had closed off and he was well enough to take home!!  She had her vet look at him the next day and he was going to be fine.  No stitches.  Doing quite well indeed.  If you had the fortitude to make it through my story... heed my warning!  This place is a RIP OFF. Everytime we've had to come here for our dogs, the staff has been super polite, helpful, and kind. Today our little Quincy needs some attention...and maybe a shot to settle his stomach. As usual, it is first come, first served and we were seen in order in a reasonable amount of time. We are so grateful for this clinic which covers the non-regular hours of our regular vet. Read Less

They may be pricey but you get what you pay for! Dr. Bayon treated my Abbie--performed emergency surgery that I'm convinced saved her life and referred us to California Veterinary Specialists where she continues to recover. I've brought several furbabies to this clinic under emergency conditions over the last ten years. In some cases the outcomes were very sad but this time my girl survived and will hopefully get to come home (she's not out of the woods yet). Everyone at the Emergency Pet Clinic were kind, compassionate, honest and professional. People bring their pets here under the worst circumstances and in my case the staff helped me make the decisions needed to save my furbaby's life. Read Less

I am scarred from the inhumanity I experienced from the veterinarian at this pet clinic. My dog was attacked by another dog on Christmas day, and this was the only place open near me. The girls at the desk were very nice and helpful, but once we got in the exam room and then saw the doctor red flags started popping up all over the place. 1. In the exam room, they were advertising their own credit card so you can "give your pet the care they need, and worry about the payment later".2. The doctor walks in, and my dog growls at her. This was the very first woman in my dog's entire life at whom she has growled. (I know this is somewhat of a superstitious point, but it stands out in my mind none-the-less)3. The first thing the doctor mentions is that my dog is going to need blood work.4. Then she mentions that the wound would need a drainage tube; something I expected, but what surprised me was the the doctor said she would probably need 3 drainage tubes.The doctor leaves, and says she'll send in one of the girls with the invoice. I'm not naive, I know what vets and doctors charge on holidays, so I was expecting the invoice to be high..5. The invoice was $1279.00.6. One of the items on the invoice was a charge of $10 per minute for shaving and prepping the are; and they estimated 10 minutes for that. I have never seen anything like that on a vet bill before.7. And they were going to have to keep her overnight; I've never dropped off a dog at a vet around 2pm for surgery where I couldn't pick my dog up that same day.I have never felt like such an inadequate dog-mother as I did when I had to look at the girl and say "I just can't afford that." I can't make money appear that doesn't exist. So the other option, in fact the ONLY option, was an antibiotic injection, a pain injection, and then a follow up with my own vet the next morning. 8. They took my dog in another room to give her the shots, and this didn't occur to me until later (I was a little devastated from my day), but I have never had a vet take my dog in another room for shots; they have always been able to just perform the injections in front of me, which I prefer because then I know the injections were given.9. The exam was $79 and each shot (which hopefully were administered) was $50; so with the little service and zero compassion we received our bill was still $179.10.Guess how much it was for my vet to do EVERYTHING? $212. That's right. More than ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS less. Her surgery was $80, that's how much this ridiculous, heartless vet charged just to look at her.I'm glad I kept my head on straight and decided not to leave my baby with this woman, because I really don't think she would have been in good hands.Please do not support a business that takes advantage of people at their weakest moments. This vet is running nothing short of a scam. And she is a scam-artist. Read Less

I'm so thankful for this place.  On a Sunday night, my dog somehow discovered chocolate truffles and we found him enjoying his discovery, licking the wrapper clean.  We were able to be seen right away and they gave my dog a shot that made him throw up all the chocolate.  Turns out no traces of chocolate could be found and he may have just found a wrapper. Don't try and call. Didn't answer any questions, only advice was "we're still open." Probably best to just show up to the clinic. They showed no sign about carrying for my pet over the phone, I ended up going with Lake Elsinore Animal Hospital. E.P.C. is no help over the phone even though their website states: "All of our doctors and technicians are highly trained and have a special interest in emergency veterinary medicine.  Our experienced staff is available to assist you and welcome any questions concerning your pet's health.  Please call us at 951-695-5044 at the first sign of an emergency situation with your pet." Disgusting.. I would never recommend this place.. We brought our 10 yr American  bulldog in for an emergency situation, severely attacked by another animal. Paid over $500 for them to clean up his wounds.. When we picked him up for transport, they handed him to me with a rope leash, near his lacerations, which were not bandaged.. And offered no help when they saw us struggle to get him in the car. They also never gave us the pain medication or antibiotics we paid for to get him comfortably to the real hospital, that took care of his surgery (for less than $500). Absolutely disgusted with this place. If you care about your pet, you will not take them there. Read Less

From the front desk receptionist to Dr Pace, everyone was amazing! Went in for my dog to be seen for a potential life threatening issue! For the entire time i was there, staff was extremely patient, knowledgeable and overall very caring (which is hard to find anywhere these days)!! Overcharged, poor customer service, misdiagnosed and told pet needed a $2000 surgery she did not nee. This is one of the only two places in the Temecula/Murrieta/Menifee/Wildomar area that has an ultrasound machine. Beware!!!!! These people are just here to scam you for money. Read Less

My dog, aka my son lol, did not want to move for a little over 24 hours and was whimpering in pain when he attempted to move. I called the emergency pet clinic after 8pm and explained my situation and asked what payment options were out there. I was informed of CareCredit which i applied for and was approved right away. I took my dog to the clinic and they were ready to take him in right away with a gurney. The assistants were very helpful and kind. The doctor saw him right away with no wait time at all. Within ten minutes the doctor spoke to me about his diagnosis; swollen disc in the lower portion of my dogs back causing pressure and pain. This could have been caused by our recent move from a small unit to a big house and yard or even by his 95lb body sitting and or sleeping on hard surfaces for long periods of time. My dog likes to sit with his hips and feet side ways which can also cause long term issues. They gave my dog a pain reliever before we left and a very inexpensive prescription for at home with great instructions and helpful guides. The only thing I would have to say that is a little negative is that the ER doctor did not check any regular vitals or basic check up. They charge a $79.00 fee for the check in process so you would think they would check the ears, eyes, nose, and a basic exam of the body to ensure nothing else was harming the animal, but they did NOT. I did ask about it before i signed the papers for i thought it was necessary to at least check my dogs ears since he has frequent infections caused by his breed; Pure Bread American bull dog. The assistant said they don't perform daytime veterinary duties, that i would have to bring my dog to a day time vet to have them look at his ears.... come on.. they just told me i shouldn't be traveling with him for at least 2 weeks and to have him rest and not move as much as possible for atleast a week. So how am i supposed to bring him to a day time vet? what if they were infected right then and there and needed meds but i couldn't take him in to a different vet to get them? So i requested they at least check his ears and his sores on the paws from chewing his itches. She was a bit perturbed, but did ask the doctor on my behalf which he kindly obliged. In the end, all in all was good and I would definitely recommend it. The whole visit with prescription was only $157 which i was able to use the carecredit card i got approved on before i came. It only took maybe 20 minutes total and we were back home. They were very clean, informative and accommodating. Thank you Emergency pet clinic for being open and available for my dog/son! Read Less

People reading this, READ THE REVIEWS IN DETAIL OF THIS VET OFFICE. Called today, on a Saturday looking to have my dog's eye looked at, because my regular vet is not open weekends. Interestingly, I read the reviews, only "after" I made the call. Lucky for me, the woman that answered the phone was short, and didn't want to take anymore appointments. Then, I read the reviews! Reviews in this forum range from DEAD PUPPIES when the doctor refused to perform a C Section on a whelping female bulldog, to a positively grotesque misdiagnosis, of being told that a dog was dying, when it had simply over eaten!Read Less
