Welcome to East/West Veterinary Clinic!
East West veterinary Clinic was established in 1997 by Dr. Karen Martin and is now owned by Dr. Nabil Wisa. East West Veterinary Clinic practices integrative veterinary medicine which is a comprehensive medical approach to pet care that combines the best of conventional medicine and complementary and alternative therapies.
This type of veterinary practice focuses on treating the whole animal, partnership between the client and the veterinarian, and use of all appropriate therapeutic options to achieve optimal wellness for your pet.
Complementary and alternative veterinary medicine (C.A.V.M.) therapies that may be included in an integrative medicine approach include acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, tuina, chiropractic, therapeutic nutrition, and nutritional supplements.
All of these therapies treat the whole body and as such can be referred to by the generic term “holistic,” meaning that they view the body as an integrated whole and take the body, mind and spirit into account when formulating a treatment plan. C.A.V.M. therapies are designed to stimulate adaptive homeostatic mechanisms in the body and or to provide the body substances by which the body can heal itself.

I love this place! As much as it hurts any of us to have to take our fur babies to the Vet, Let me tell you this place is just wonderful. The staff are so kind , understanding and help you in any way they can. Very professional. Dr Bass and Dr Milburn are wonderful with the animals. The really care about them. I’m very happy I take my pets there, and my whole family, my grandchildren, they take their pets there. These doctors are very knowledgeable, and tell you exactly what your pet needs. I trust both Dr Bass and Dr Milburn.. they are great!!!! I give them 5 stars... thank you both for all your help with my pets.

Having recently adopted a Siberian Husky we were in the need for a great Vet. I did a web search and came across several vets in my area. Lucky for me we live just a few min from the Animal Hospital of TO as they had decent online reviews. I called them first thing Monday morning and they were able to get me in for his first checkup within 2 hours! That made me quite happy as it can be hard for same day appointments. To not get too wordy here, the front staff was very nice and sweet to my dog and offered to help me any way they could. The Dr. spent ample time talking to me, explaining everything clearly to me and answering all of my questions. She also spent time talking to me about how to maintain a quality life for my dog, which meant a lot to me.
I can easily recommend this Vet to any family or friend that may ask as I could tell after the first visit that this was the caring Vet I was hoping to find!

The staff is always friendly, even when my dog shed-explodes everywhere. They're always ready on time, and everything always looks clean.

Cannot ask for a more terrific vet office! We have been going there since they opened and love the care they have always provided for all of our pets. The doctors are knowledgeable and take time to discuss treatment options, answer any questions and explain in detail the diagnosis. The front office is friendly, welcoming and treat our two dogs as if they were their own dogs! We wouldn't think of taking our animals to anyone else. They are absolutely the best and we highly recommend Animal Hospital of Thousand Oaks to everyone we know!

I have been taking my dogs to Animal Hospital of Thousand Oaks for about 25 years, so that says it all. The vets are outstanding, the techs are wonderful, and the office staff are the best. Everyone is kind, caring, patient, compassionate, and my current dog who is a rescue and afraid of everything, is not terrified of going to the vet. I would recommend his vets to everyone.

AHTO is the best vet office in the county! The doctors and entire staff are compassionate, caring and treat your fur kids with gentleness and respect. You can tell as soon as you are greeted by the fri t desk staff that they are a team and love caring for animals. They also are excellent in calling and checking up after our dog had a procedure done to find out how she was doing. Our family will not go anywhere else!

The staff are so kind , understanding and help you in any way they can. Very professional. Dr Bass and Dr Milburn are wonderful with the animals. The really care about them. They are the best. Never have to wait in the waiting room. When you call for an appointment because your baby is sick they will always get you right in.

I have been with AHTO for a lot of years, the staff is always warm and welcoming. The supporting staff and veterinarians provide awesome service. I have 3 dogs and they never are nervous or scared to come to see the vet! They treat pets like family. I recommend AHTO to anyone who needs a great vet, reasonable prices and excellent service.

AHTO is the best vet office in the county! The doctors and entire staff are compassionate, caring and treat your fur kids with gentleness and respect. You can tell as soon as you are greeted by the fri t desk staff that they are a team and love caring for animals. They also are excellent in calling and checking up after our dog had a procedure done to find out how she was doing. Our family will not go anywhere else!

Over the years last nine years the Animal Hospital of Thousand Oaks has cared for our six pets (two deceased due to advanced age). In every instances the vets, techs, and front office have been friendly, knowledgeable, professional, caring, and extremely capable. I can't imagine a practice I would rather have care for my pets.

They are "The Best"!!!! We see Dr. Bass but they are all excellent. We used to live in Thousand Oaks but moved to Orange County. We drive all that way, it's worth it for my Sweetpea!!
