I have belief that the veterinary staff are competent and qualified. And I have been bringing my pets for the last 17 years to this veterinary office. Cats and dogs. Indeed, up until 2013, I would have rated this place a 5+. However, the numerous visits since have been less than personal. (Some staff members excepted). I was outraged recently when, during a recent visit to get a $52.00 physical exam for a doggy's upset tummy, lasting no more than 10 minutes (exam and history total time), I emerged with a small plastic tube, given to me by the technician to collect a fecal exam ... only to have it snatched out of my hands by the cashier because I refused to pay for a fecal exam until I brought the fecal sample in. When I asked what I was to do in collecting and bringing a sample in, her response was to say "you are on your own". I couldn't get out of that place fast enough ... and I noted that in the end, I paid nearly $200.00 for an exam, antibiotics, probiotics and canned food for his tummy. NO XRAYS, NO MICROSCOPIC STUDIES, NO BLOOD (not that these all weren't suggested in written form, to the tune of over $600 ... So ... when u don't want those studies, they mark in the file you have refused.
It is obvious that this office is trained to "Mark up" whenever possible, upsell the suggested necessary diagnostic tools (like suggesting a urinalysis at a cost of $50 during a digestive/bowel issue. I made note of the time I left... time to get a new veterinarian. Read Less
