I brought my cat, Rocky, here about a year ago. He was so sick I didn't think he was going to make it. They had him on IV for 2 days and sent me home with 4 different meds to give him. He recovered and has been healthy and happy since. You may have to wait a little longer to be seen but the advantage is no appointment necessary. I read some bad reviews and realize people just don't get that. Make an appointment some where else and wait 2 days, its up to you. Today I brought Rocky back with an eye infection and shots. This place deserves 0 stars for the "care" they gave. The front staff is extremely rude! I know they are busy, but they ignore and give rude and short answers to their customers including myself. She declined to give her name out and was mocking what we were saying and not letting us talk. She was basically yelling. It's so sad because they have great doctors. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE. My income has changed and was happy to find a vet that was affordable, but was worried that they would skip on customer service and most importantly, provide the best vet services to my dog. Not the case. It was a great experience overall. Read Less

I took my dying cat to the vet. My daughter was in the room and my cat died in her arms. I was want to say that there prices are to overwhelming and highly expensive for being an Affordable Animal Clinic so they say. Read Less

Took my precious baby to get checked for an infection in his mouth and then I was given a bill for $1200 to start treatment.. I couldn't believe it!!! I grabbed my angel and went elsewhere. They pad the bill with so much unnecessary stuff,it's obvious that I was getting ripped off. If you can "afford" the affordable animal clinic Then this is the place for you. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE! This place doesn't deserve the one star i gave it but it doesnt give me a 0 star option.My mom took our dog there to get groomed and they nicked her and said it was cause she moved ,it wasnt that bad so my mom was understanding about it. The second time she took her in they cut her leg bad, called & said the doctor had to check her to see if stitches were needed. Never again will we take our dog to this horrible place. We were just here last week because i got my dogs vaccinated . Last week was fine we were accommodated quickly. My dog has been coughing for 2 days so we went earlier to get it checked.I came in and I saw almost 15 dogs waiting to be seen. The front desk were nice when I checked in. They told us its about an hour wait, so we did, we waited for an hour. We waited outside for an hour, I came in again to ask, the front desk ladies told us it's going to be another 45 min to an hour wait, depending on how fast the pet owners will decide if they're gonna proceed with a treatment. I felt like we were waisting time already. So we left. We'll just look for another clinic. I hope they'll improve they're services or hire more vets. This seems to be a nice place but the long line and long wait is a no no to worried pet owners. Read Less

Zero stars!! This place is horrible, unprofessional and borderline inhumane. Read all the negative comments on here and you will understand. If you love your pet, you will not take them here. Don't be fooled by the name, they are not that much cheaper!!My personal experience was truly upsetting. My poor dog, Bear, had slipped and tore his nail, and at the same time had been bit by a tick. I had only been to this place once or twice before, when I was a new dog owner, so my experience and knowledge was limited.I got there around 930am, waited waited waited, and didn't see a vet until 11am. Ok, I use the term lightly when I say "see." I literally only spoke to the vet for one minute, he was bouncing from room to room (they have a hallway full of rooms, this is a way for them to make the most $$$, as I realize after the fact). My dog was in pain, and he said he was "aggressive." So more money, because they have to give him anesthesia to cut his nail and shave around the tick bite. And they were supposed to check him for additional ticks as well. They demand payment upfront. I leave at 1130am.I call at 3pm, and they say they still haven't done anything to Bear. They claim he was dehydrated, duh, he hasn't had anything to eat or drink since the night before! My dog (who is a rescue dog btw) has been locked in a cage for over 3 and a half hours!!! Then they're telling me I can come pick him up and take him somewhere else. Really? I just want him to be better. I ask when will he be ready and they say 5pm.Show up a little after 5pm and he is not ready. It isn't until 545pm when I finally see Bear and he is drugged up. On top of that, these jerks didn't shave around the tick bite! When they made sure to charge me for it. Not to mention they were pushing me out the door without the  2 medications that I repeatedly asked for, and paid for!! When I get home I find another tick on him. Not surprised at this point, considering they already showed their incompetence. I called around other vets to see if all this was normal, and all said NO. I see what they do, they are trying to make as much money as possible, and then they lock your pets up in their "treatment area" so they can maximize profit. It really bothered me the vet, Dr. Lee, called my dog aggressive, when he is a sweet dog. If you can't handle animals, you should not be a vet!!! After doing research and finding out these details, and reading all these negative reviews, which I should have read before, and let me say there are over 50 NEGATIVE REVIEWS, I go to the clinic to get Bear's medical records, because I want to know exactly what they did to him. It's now 3 days later and he is not the same. This girl at the front desk tells me that legally they need 24 hours to give me his records. I did some additional research and that is a LIE!! Don't throw around the term LEGAL. This place is the absolute worst.I wish I had read the reviews before I had come here, but there are some tragic ones that broke my heart.Please take care of your pet and go somewhere better.Also if you had an experience similar or worse, please click/copy this link and file a complaint. I have been taking three dogs to this clinic for years. They have all been treated well. From tooth extractions to pancreatitus to cuts and removal of dew claws to more....They have always been right on ...have saved my critters many a time. 5 stars Read Less

This place was only option on a weekend when I had a emergency situation with my four legged best friend. I was quickly assured of what kind of place this is when I carried my 85 pound dying dog and no one even acknowledged we needed help. Th front desk people were obviously really tied up with their paperwork. When someone from the back came out and said I could bring him back. I was told I needed x amount of dollars to start emergency services. I pay for things.in cash only and I had to go to the bank the next day I ask for their help in allowing me to do that. I'll never forget the smug arrogant look on this guys face as he said, "you better pay me because your dogs dying and I don't work for free". Flat out shocking. As I carry my dogs body to the car, all of a sudden one the gals that was too busy when we walked in has all kinds of time to sell me cremation services and was a bit perplexed on why I was taking the dog home. I put the dog in the car and went back to speak to this clown vet and guess what..... he's not available ...... he is in surgery! Shocker!!! This is unacceptable and my next contact will be to his professional board and I will make it my life's purpose to share this experience as often an as frequent as possible. They treated my dog like he was worthless and nothing but garbage. Stay away from Affordable Vet Clinic on Vermont in Torrance. Your guys are a pathetic excuse for humanity!!! Read Less

Went to get my dog's rabies vaccine, and the young employee at the front desk, was very curteous and considerate. I let her know my dog was scared, and she gladly said she can give him the shot in my car. Made the experience so much better! Outstanding customer service! Read Less

I would have given no stars...this facility now! is just a cash cow, no real pet care gets done here. four years ago I took our Sunshine here with 3 tumors, scheduled and paid over six hundred dollars to have them removed. When I went to get sunshine after he was cleared to come home. They forgot to remove the two smaller tumors and only removed the enormously obvious one on his back. They promised to make things right at no additional cost to me. I made several attempts after he healed up from his initial surgery, it was like speaking to the wall. Four years later, they never made it right! Most recently Dec.1st, 2016 at 8:30pm, they are open till 10...check anywhere they post they're hours. I arrive at a lil after 8:30 with my Army Service Dog whom turns out was poisoned. Everybody knows about the golden hour, the faster you can get treated the better your chances. They refused to see him, the nurse said the doctor wasn't taking any more patients tonight had a few words and I left put my dog back in the car I was on the phone with my groomer trying to find another facility when I looked through the doctors office window he was sitting there on Facebook or my dog was slowly dying. I found another facility took me 45 minutes to find and then get to...needless to say he past away that night because of this places callous heart. I would suggest a different pet care facility. I was very pleased with the service I received from Dr. E. Yoon at Affordable Animal Clinic last week for my sickly stray cat that was dumped at my place as an older kitten and is very skittish. She had a bad eye infection, her eye was bulging out and consequently, had to have it removed. She is progressing nicely. Read Less

I love this place. They took good care of my dog Angel. Angel had Mammary Gland Tumor removal surgery. She had 9 mass removed. After surgery she went down hill but with the proper care she received from Affordable Animal Clinic. She is doing real well for the age of 13. Read Less

Place was small and busy. Took in my baby pomchi for her shots. First time patients get a free exam. They even have free puppy shots during a certain time but I'm not sure. Waited about 40 minutes. Walk ins. Staff is friendly but lobby is really small. Some people waiting outside. Parking lot is really small too. Kind of a hidden location. Read Less

I only have one complaint. Not everyone celebrates Christmas. The whole point of having information television about animals is to be able to hear it...but it was muted with Christmas music. The whole office was over-decorated with ornaments everywhere you looked, in every exam office, and on all the doors....way way too much. Read Less

Dr. Lee and all of the staff have been fantastic during our recent emergency visits. Bubba is in heaven now and they made her last few days more comfortable. Be prepared to wait because it is a walk in clinic, but they do the best they can as fast as they can. Read Less

The only problem i had is where some guy (staff ) told me to hold down my lil 1 month miniature pinscher down. Which i found unacceptable because im not a staff nor vet But over all..... This is my Lil babies Dr they are so helpful and respectful. It can get crowded at times but the staff make sure they get you in and out.. also some of the patient owners can be rude and unappreciated!! But ignore them they are unappealing... I have taken two of my cats here in the last few months and have always had excellent service. One recovered from a broken leg fully and the other is doing fine after having been spayed. They really are affordable as well. I recommend them. Read Less

I have been bringing my animals to this clinic for many years. I have always found the staff to be courteous, professional and extremely helpful, especially Mary and Sandra, who staff the hospital in the evening. The veterinarians are always top notch, and the prices are extremely reasonable for the level of care my animals have gotten! I have taken my two huskies here since they were puppies. And they have such good comfortable prices that you dont think twice of where to take your dogs. Their staff is very friendly and informative. They always answer your call, it doesnt matter at what time you call. They might not be 24hrs a day but they send you to places they know very well and is not far from their office. Read Less

I took my 8 wk old pup to this clinic and without even examining her, I was told she had Parvo, even though the pre-screen test indicated Negative results. I was told there is no cure for Parvo but that they needed to do an outpatient parvo treatment. They said they were sending the stool sample (which was just from sticking a thermometer in her rear end) out to the lab for further testing. I was called the next day and told the results were positive and the doctor recommended I bring her in for two more outpatient parvo treatments.In the meantime, my puppy was back to normal a couple hours after the initial visit to this vet. When they told me the test was positive and needed more treatments at $125.00 each, I took her to another vet for a second opinion. The vet examined Nikki, took a Parvo Test, which again came out "Negative", and assured me she did NOT have Parvo!This doctor, the old white doctor, took advantage of my emotions, knowing I would do anything needed to make Nikki better. I was charged almost $300.00 for the visit and I had to insist they examine her (take temperature, check her eyes, nose, ears, etc.), which they seemed annoyed at having to do.I only wish I had left the place before they did the first treatment, because I had an odd feeling that I was being taken for a ride, but was scared for the life of my puppy!
