We took our cat J.R. there yesterday to have a dental cleaning and procedure. The whole experience was great. Both the male and female Vet Techs were super nice and helpful. The Vet was great he called to let us know a tooth needed extracted and even brought it out and showed us the crack and damage to the tooth. My Boxer was not feeling well. I took her in and after the exam, we decided she needed to get some blood work done and stay the night for hydration. I called that night and the next morning to see how she was doing and both times I was assured she was alert and resting. The communication between myself and the staff was awesome. Originally was mad when we found out the procedures went up in price, so we cancelled then we were contacted 2 days later and was able to work things out. 2 of my animals died after visiting this office in the same year =(I would suggest if you don't want your animals to die then don't go here just to save a buck and instead go to a reputable place of business that actually cares about your animal and not your wallet!!I brought my cat in for an ear flush and teeth cleaning and they took literally under 45 mins to do both. At the time I thought that was awesome to get done so quickly, but that wasn't the case. Immediately following the visit my cats health got worse. He couldn't eat or drink, his ear infection got even worse, puss started coming out of his mouth, he started falling down and couldn't even walk. He drooled all over the place, couldn't open his mouth to even meow, crust started crystalizing in his ears, he lost 8lbs in 3 weeks. We took him to an emergency vet and they said he had a neurological issue due to complications from what was done at the previous vet and there was nothing they could do. 3 weeks later he died in my arms at another emergency vet. I took my cat in to get his ears cleaned and teeth brushed and he died 3 weeks later and died miserably =(Then my lil dog who we also took to the vet to get a normal round of shots ended up dying a few months later. He went into heart failure which is unavoidable I know, but the vet asked why didn't the previous vet tell you about it & of course what are we to say. Idk why they didn't tell us. He said his heart murmur was a 5 out of 6 and that didn't happen over night so the previous vet (that we only saw a few months prior) should have made us aware of his heart murmur and we could have gotten him on heart medicine to extend his life. Wow! We took our dog, Buster (a Yorkie/Maltese mix) in to get checked for a possible ear infection. We saw a WONDERFUL doctor, Dr. Meena, who took great care of our little guy. She was very gentle and kind as she examined Buster which was very important to us as he is prone to anxiety. She recommended sedation in order to completely flush out the infection and clean out all debris. She also offered to clean his teeth while he was sedated so we wouldn't have to pay for the sedation again to have his teeth cleaned. We took her up on the offer and his teeth looked beautiful afterwards. When I came to pick up our pup we were greeted by amazing staff. Anna was great at explaining everything we needed to do for aftercare and how to administer antibiotics. She was super friendly and you could tell she really cared about our dog. So so SO RUDE. That front desk receptionist lady needs a ray of sunshine shot up her rear. I called to make an appointment for my kitten and she acted like I was just inconveniencing her to the fullest. Took him in and a younger man helped me out, he was nice but seemed like he had no idea what he was doing. It made me feel so uneasy, I almost left to find a new place but figured maybe I was over reacting. Didn't see the vet once, no one came out it was eerie. Oh not to mention the dry blood on the floor they didn't take the time to clean up.I picked him up and he seemed just fine, happy it was over but I won't ever be going back, that place give me the weirdest feeling and they don't seem to care about their services.AND to add, my kitten got fleas from here! I actually downloaded the yelp app just to give grantline vet a review. I will keep it short as Im writing from my phone however, if I could rate them with more than 5 stars I would. A little more than a year ago I brought my dog in for having blood in her urine(Baila). Doctor mina or miha? goodness I can never get it right was a God send. She showed so much compassion for my dog to the point of letting me pay weeks down the line just to help me out. The staff there is amazing and will sometimes see me on the street and say hello and ask about my dog Baila. Never have I felt more moved by how warm and caring the place is. My Baila has since recovered and still happy thanks to the remarkable help from these guys. I Just wish I had my own doctors treat me this well. My brother has been taking his furbabies here and I talked to him about their environment. I took my kitten and our dog in for spaying and our experience was wonderful. Recently had to take kitten in on a Saturday due to an eye issue. I walked in and waited until dogs at the counter left. We were about 10 minutes early and we were escorted into a room in less than 5 minutes after we checked in. Vet was very nice and she actually did the spay on my kitten. Our pit was bit by a black widow and was in bad shape. We brought him an as emergency and they examined him right away. The vet and staff were very supportive and helpful, they worked with us on different treatments that were within our price range. I came in with 2 very large King Shepherds.  Enough to make the biggest Rotti tuck a tail,   but NOT the wonderful staff at Grant line.  They treated Bearan Von Fuzzybut' & Titan Freight Train comin like they were Teacup Terrier Royalty.  The office was super busy yet each one of us was handled efficiently & kindly.   No animal or hospital smell what so ever & despite a very busy scene,  the facility was spotless!  Tracy Vets used to b the highest charging vets anywhere.  Even the Bay Area was half the cost, so I would have to drive to  Stockton or the Bay Area for affordable care,   not now tho!!! Grant Line Vet set a good bemchmark!.  Just $19 REALLY!  Yes,  I said $19.  They also have compassion for U too.  They know we love our pets & want to do whats best, cant always " fix it all."  so when u ask, most ofen they work with u to help u get the best treatment bang for ur buck!   Oh & did I mention as part of a team of dedicated spay & neuter die hards,  Ive turned into the Vets & Staff at GLVH hundreds of feral cats for spay & neuter EACH YEAR & everytime they either spay & neuter at no or low cost. Got a same day appt for my sick kitty which I was thankful for but man was I disappointed by this place. When you're in times of need, and members of the family (animals too) are sick you want to be comforted and feel safe in a place where you know your animals are in good hands. This is not what I got from this place. I only ventured into this establishment because it appeared to have decent yelp reviews. Immediately upon arrival I got bad vibes from the place, but I figured I had to give it a chance. I was already emotional about my cat being under the Weather and then in the 10 mins I'm In the front I witness a whole encounter of a vet nurse rudely explaining how he planned to put this dog down. This family had found a dog that was nipping at people and they couldn't find a home for Him, so the family planned to put him to seep.I felt it was extremely inappropriate to expose details about animals that were going to be put to sleep in front of other customers.. There were children in the waiting room. The male nurse was saying things like "Well none of the other girls want to do it so I'm just gonna have to do it myself." And "the dog will experience cardiac arrest followed by the shitting down of all internal organs" again, why this was being talked about loudly I'm still confused and the conversation continued inappropriately. As I waited in the exam room myself, I got to hear the whole event in entirety because the door to their exam room was never closed.After being guided into the exam room, I had asked the female leading me "are you the doctor or...?" She replied with "pshhhh I wish I was the doctor, no I'm just the assistant."......I explained to the woman, and then the creepy doctor who didn't seem to know what he was talking about what was happening with my cat they both tried to talk me into spending 5 times as much money as I should have been. At first the vet told me they would need to keep my cat for 3 days/nights and do blood work and x rays and IVs... I brought my cat in because he was feeling nauseas from hair balls.. I ended up leaving with nausea medication and an antibiotic. As I went to check out and pay, I mentioned the help deal and said "so how does this work, I have a review typed up.." The woman said "oh yeah the exam is free" and continued to ring me up and STILL charged me for the exam fee.. Like are you kidding me? I usually never write yelp reviews and bad ones at that but for real? I WOULDN'T recommend anyone who cares about their animals to go to this place. All in all I just got baaaaaaad JUJU from this place, no wonder they have a Yelp review deal it must be the only way they can get anyone to say anything positive is by offering something for free In return. We have been going to the clinic for about 15 years. I was worried that when the orginal owner sold it to the currant staff things would go down hill. Obsolutely not., didn't happen. If anything they are a better staff. Very knowledgable and not just the doctors but the whole staff. We just lost a cat we had for 16 yrs the staff was wonderful.And now we have 3 more cats and the staff is just has wonderful Would'nt think about taking them any where else. Read Less

I live in SF but I have been taking my dog to this clinic for a few years now. My brother lives in the area and I schedule appointment with them whenever I am in town. The staff are incredibly helpful and really nice. They answer phone calls promptly and act immediately on all my requests. Its a busy practice so there would be some wait time during clinic hours. Lisa and the team always takes good care of our frenchies. We can rely on them to be there for us even after business hours. They stayed for a few hours after closing time on a Saturday to deliver 5 puppies for us. The team went above and beyond to save our puppies that were unresponsive at first. I have been coming to the Grantline Veterinary Hospital for several years.  They are always professional and very nice.   My Lhaso Apso, Chip, had been going for many years.  When he was getting to the end of his time I took him in and they agreed that it was his time.  They told me to think about it.  I couldn't do it and changed my mind and they were very understanding and told me that I should come back when I was ready.  I did end up going back a few months later.  My son and I took Chip in.  The vet was very comforting and after she administered his shot she let me hold him for as long as I wanted to.  They even sent me a card the following week with his paw print in it.  Recently I had to take my ShihTzu, Lola in.   She had a large growth on her ear and one on her shoulder.  They did surgery that same night and stayed with her after hours until she was ready to come home. They called me two days later to follow up and see how she was doing.  I will definitely continue to go there.  I am very surprised by the negative reviews.  I have always had a good experience there. I come here fairly regularly and they have always been courteous and professional, and from my experience, do not try to get me to buy extra stuff I don't need or do unnecessary procedures on my dogs. They have a shot clinic every Saturday and Sunday which is great and so cost effective - low prices and no office visit fee. I've been to other vets in the area that have tried to get me to do some extreme procedures (remove my dogs anal glands?!! which I researched and can cause more problems than help!) - they work with me here and don't try to push things down my throat. I only come here to take advantage of their low cost shot clinic. I have been coming here for years and there are always new faces.  I only recognized one person. My dogs are very friendly with strangers & the staff here. However one new guy came out the back and called us over. He couldn't even come halfway and my dog started barking. Mind you that I'm in a lobby with other dogs and cats, people petting him etc without a problem. So he asked if i would bring him in the room.  We got there and now he is growling. So i told him to get a woman.  She came and she is new too. My dog didn't like her either.  So they offered a soft muzzle and i closed the door and put it on him, held him like he was hugging me.  Then he got his shots without a problem.  I think that they should try to keep the same staff as long as possible.  The animals get used to them.  The lobby was clean and roomy. they are all nice. dont listen to the guy who reviewed this before me. they took care of my puppy and he had the same issue. all vets try their best & when they fail to help the puppy/dog, they get accused of being a crappy vet. no vet wants to see your pets die, but sometimes things do happen where the dog cant be cured fast enough. just be thankful that there is someone there to help try to take care of your doggy.Read Less
