Comprehensive Physical Therapy Care
Our mission is to combine the education, clinical experience and expertise of a doctor of veterinary medicine and a doctor of physical therapy to offer the highest level of rehabilitation services.
Your pet’s current condition, medical history, lifestyle, nutrition and medications are all discussed prior to completing a functional and mobility evaluation. We offer comprehensive and individualized rehabilitative care to restore, maintain or enhance your pet’s physical ability at any age. Whether your companion has had an injury, surgery or chronic disability, our goal is to provide a guided, safe return to fun and function using state-of-the-art techniques.
Animals, just like people, benefit from treatment by a Physical Therapist for various conditions throughout their lifespan.

Examples of conditions treated:
Pain from injury, surgery or disability
Pre or post-operative orthopedic or neurosurgery
Soft tissue injuries: tendons, ligaments, muscles and nerves
Arthritis or dysplasia
Gait abnormalities and lameness
Spine disorders: disc problems, neck or back pain
Changes in posture or reluctance to go on walks
Geriatric conditions: joint stiffness, decreased flexibility, decreased strength, decreased mobility
Performance problems in canine atheletes and working dogs
Critical and recumbent care recovery
Injuries requiring braces, orthotics and prosthetics

Please, call 530-388-8157 to speak to Dr. Jackie Woelz, Physical Therapist, for more detailed information.
We welcome referrals from other veterinary hospitals, and we will discuss our recommended plan of care with your primary veterinarian.

i am sad that it didnt work out for us to take our dogs to this place. we got our first pup last september and he saw wendy only ONCE for the initial "wellness exam" and his second round of vaccines. we had an emergency and that is when i met dr garcia for the first time. i was grateful that the issue was resolved and there were not any major complications. after he had his rabies shot, we had no need to go to the vet so we didnt go.a few weeks ago, we got our second pup. hes on the weaker side having been a singleton and emergency C-section birth, had to be bottle fed and is slower in his development. i took him in for his second round of vaccines and again we had dr. garcia.i told him of the lil guys situation and he seemed to agree to take it slow with what ever he "needed"...then our conversation moved into the future and he warned that he may have worms and wanted a fecal sample for them to test ($100) and then possibly a second deworming. he didnt bother to ask if he was at risk, or if i had noticed any worm-like symptoms, etc...then he tells me if his testicles dont drop he may need to be neutered, then he gets into heartworm treatment, then tells me heartworm wouldnt even show up until he was at least six months old...the lil guy is only 2.5 months old! it seemed he wanted to freak me out so i would spend more money. he didnt seem concerned with taking it easy on my dog or showing any sign of patience in his development.  also, i went there originally to see wendy, not dr garcia! do you have to request a special appt to get her to check your dog? dr garcia only seems to want to scare you into spending money. then, he takes my puppy out to the hall to have another girl hold him so he can administer the vaccine. he closed the door behind him, leaving me in the room alone. this did not sit well with me at all and is the main reason i will not be going back here. i followed him out so i could watch him vaccinate my pup.i was under the impression that this was a holistic and preventative approach to animal health and now it seems just like every other place, all they care about is using fear to make money! Wendy Robinson and her office staff have really changed my life with my dog. I drove from New York to Lake Tahoe with my senior dog that more than a few people thought would not make it here. The first time we went to Wendy, she did some very gentle chiropractic on my dog and improved her back and hips so much that Bella practically danced out of the office. We have returned regularly for acupuncture, chiropractic, and laser  treatments for her arthritis, balanced with pain medication. Wendy is working with me through the aging decline of my beloved pet. I trust her judgment implicitly. She's given my dog her smile back on so many occasions and given me more quality time with my dog. I know the time I have left with Bella is short and Wendy is helping us make that time joyous. Read Less

I REALLY enjoyed our visit with Dr Wendy.  I brought my 9 y/o Aussie mix to her to check out some fatty deposits and joint issues. Walking through the door didn't feel like a vet office at all. It was warm and inviting like walking into someone's home. The treatment room was the same way, no big metal tables or slippery floors with fluorescent lighting. It had a huge area rug on the floor, a countertop on one wall and a couple of chairs. My dog has never been more relaxed in a vet office. We all sat on the floor, discussed Roxy's issues and background and then she measured and sampled the deposits right there. She also gave me some info on ear care, diet & health. I never felt rushed and it felt like hanging out with a concerned friend who wanted to help. It was also a bonus to know that she is affordable. I highly recommend everyone bringing their pet to her. I am writing this review of the front desk staff as I did not have any contact with any other member of the hospital team here. I was in the area from out of town and my friend's dog possibly ate some ibuprofen. Having worked as a veterinary technician for the last 10 years I am aware that ibuprofen is very toxic to dogs and me and my friend rushed her dog in. Upon arriving at the hospital we entered an empty lobby. The receptionist that came out to greet us brought her lunch with her from the back room. We told her what had happened and asked if they had apomorphine to make my dog vomit. Her immediate response seemed annoyed and repulsed that we were asking if they had that    medication. It was apparent she did not want to see us or our dog. No problem, we immediately left and went to Sierra pet clinic where our dog received great care and we were greeted by a receptionist that was friendly and welcoming. Read Less
