Very helpful and friendly staff. Very knowledgeable veterinarians. We saw Dr wood and she has 40 yrs experience. I wouldn't want a young vet taking care of my 13 yo border collie who is a beloved family member. She gave us helpful tips to use on our bc who has spondilosis. First off I want to sincerely thank Dr. Wood and everyone at the office for all of their help taking care of my cat for 13 years until he passed 8/1 (he was 17-1/2).  He would not have lived that long without their superior knowledge, kindness and help.  The staff, Dr. Wood, Allison, Allie, Skylar and everyone were so very kind to me and my cat, and I would not have been able to handle my cat's problems, old age, dental issues, thyroid, kidney and asthma without their guidance and sincere assistance.  I'm going to miss my little baby for sure, and it was so incredibly hard to let him go but the staff and Dr. Wood were so so very caring. I'll also miss seeing the office staff as well to get food or to just stop in and say hello.  They sent a card, forget-me-not flower seeds to plant and a paw print in a nice scrapbook collage which I thought was so nice, and I was genuinely touched by their sympathy.If you want long term excellent care for your companion animal, then take your pet here and no where else.  I will say I think the comments about cost are not valid, as this was not my experience at all, they were all great to work with.  Again, thank you Dr. Wood and everyone for everything, I and Marmalade could not have survived without your warmth and kindness. I don't even know where to start. I will start off by saying they got a new forever client. The entire staff was awesome. Right when I got in, two staff members at the front desk greeted me. Super warm and friendly. I got there a little before my appointment (new patient) to fill out some paper work and normally I leave my big guy in the car with my sister because he's not always too great with new pups and people. But right away they were like we already have a room ready you can go get him and take him right in. Amazing! At my old vet it was horrible! We'd have to wait up to an hr to be seen. So this was amazing! Walked in, got him weighed. As soon as the staff saw him they were super sweet with him and took it a little slow. They knew exactly how to approach him and make him feel comfortable since he's been going to the same vet since he was a puppy, everything was completely new to him. He's a man diva so when they offered him treats he was like nahhhh. Haha. But even the vet tech was super sweet. I'm horrible with names! Wish I remembered all of them. She had a pitty of her own so she knew exactly how to make my big guy feel comfortable, at the end of our visit she even asked to take a picture of him because he sat down right next to my sister. The main dr was also super sweet and great with him. Took it slow and right away was able to help us figure out what was best for him. Best of all they did everything right in front of me! My old vet office would always take him to a back office to give him his shots and all that stuff. Never liked that. So this place is seriously amazing. I know I mentioned I came in early for my appointment, so yes! They let you make appointments! So great. It was a little bit more pricy than my last vet, but hey you get what you pay for. Here I paid for great amazing service, and I was able to make an appointment. I'll take that any day. And the great part is you can tell they don't try to take advantage of you. They let you know what your option are and explain, and let you make the call. They didn't push anything on me. So all in all, it was great. You guys made a new forever client! Read Less

I cannot say enough good things about this clinic and its staff. All of our furry babies have been treated here for nearly 20 years. The veterinarians are wonderfully professional, knowledgeable and caring. The front office staff and vet techs go out of their way to ensure the best care of my little ones. Dr. Wood and Dr. Cohen are the epitome of their profession and with the recent addition of Dr. Negevsky (we haven't met Dr. Link yet) this is the perfect animal clinic. I called Monday morning around 7am when they opened. I asked if they had availability to see my kitten the same day and asked about pricing for tests and consultation. The receptionist was so friendly! She made us an appointment at 9am, and she gave me the pricing. When I arrived with our kitten they were all so kind. I filled out some quick paperwork and we were seen almost immediately. They have a great Vet Tech who eased my mind and listened to all my concerns. The Doctor was also super helpful and gave great advice and treatment. The treatments and tests were very fast. This place is professional and have great workers who care about their clients and actually enjoy their jobs! Dont forget if you go on their website you can get 50% off your first visit, with one pet per family. They also have a great package for $80 which gives you 2 free vista, it totally pays for itself! Seems like they like to take advantage of concerned pet owners, and are very expensive for the minimal service they offer. I took my American Bully in concerned that he had some sort of block in his digestion track. Upon taking him in I was clearly told an xray would determine if he needed treatment or not. After being charged $300 for an xray I was told he would need an ultrasound for an additional $500-$600 because the xray showed their may or may not be a problem. What was terrible is that I was never told about the ultrasound option until after the xray which meant I could have skipped the xray all together. Not to mention they also tried pushing a list of unnecessary exams and tests on me that had nothing to with my concern for my dog (ie: heart worm test which I had told them he had recently been tested for) I ended up calling another vet who said the ultrasound may not show everything going on either and that he suggested a series of x rays over a few hours using a dye that would show up in the x rays to determine if he had a blockage. He charged the same price ($300) for 6 x rays! Long story short I got better service for cheaper elsewhere. I would suggest calling around before being subjected to the "Irvine tax" at this office. I had always been happy with this place until last month when I took my Shih Tzu into the office and would have referred them as all the others on this thread.  I brought my sweet boy in since he didn't seem right. I guess he was in some kind of shock and having trouble breathing. They were great assisting to him but since it was late approx. 5:15PM and they were closing the office soon they advised me that they could not do anything to help him and that I could either take him to an ICU hospital which would cost $1,000. or put him down.  My dog wasn't sick prior prior to this. They did not take any blood to see if there was something wrong just that he was in some kind of distress. I felt rushed in order to make my decision to put him down. I have not been the same since and feel like I am having a heart attack. He was my best friend and I should of just taken him home but I didn't. I am not saying this place isn't good but,  I felt rushed in making my decision to euthanize my dog Buddy. I am lost and can not afford another shih tzu. Please take your time and trust your instinct. Later that week they send me a Christmas card wishing the family good wishes and then they sent a follow up card for his next check up.  They need to be more vigilant. Read Less

Worst veterinarians office I've ever had to deal with! All they want is your money. They don't care about you or your animals. Beware!!!!! I went here out of convenience because I live near by, big mistake! If your animal is on medication and you need a refill, you will need to bring your animal into their office every three months so they can charge you enormous fees! After the doctor checks on your animal they bring in their salespeople with a list of tests they want to do on your animal, even though they've already done the tests in the past. This is a low budget, poorly run veterinary office. Stay away is my suggestion unless you like people lying to you and you like to throw away money.Read Less

The staff of Animal Clinic of Tustin Ranch Irvine is absolutely wonderful. When one of my cats had to have an operation, I was told exactly what would be done and what the post-op procedure would be. Nothing to wonder about. I especially like that whether it's a wellness visit or a treatment or an operation, I always get a follow-up call the next day, asking how my cat is doing. I've never been to an animal clinic or a vet's office that did that. And it's obvious that the staff really like animals. Another plus is that you don't feel like you or your pet is being "run through an assembly line". They take their time with your pet and if you have a question, their answers are thorough. They're more than 5 starts - as far as I'm concerned, they deserve 10 stars!Read Less

I love absolutely everything about Animal Clinic of Tustin Ranch, EVERYTHING. From the moment you and your furry kid walk in your pet is treated like royalty. I can't say enough about the front office staff, they are true animal lovers. A lot of vet offices say they treat your animal like their own, but I truly know that this is the case here. While waiting, they offer you water and ask if they can get you anything, they even bring your furry kid toys and water as well! There has never been a time where they couldn't fit me into their schedule, especially when Addie was in any sort of pain or discomfort. When I have called asking for a fax to be sent, they do it immediately. 10 stars if I could for the front office staff! 15 stars for Linda, she always remembers my name and my dogs names and always goes out of her way to make our experiences positive ones. Dr. Wood is an amazing vet. When examining my dogs she was extremely thorough and looked from head to tail. My one Boston Terrier Addie got an ear infection and Dr. Wood gave me a couple different options for treatment. She recommended this one medication that worked wonders. Dr. Wood explained how ear drops can be useful, but are often times uncomfortable for both the dog and the owner. It's such a pain and it's obvious (at least with Addie) that it's a painful and uncomfortable process. The particular medication she used is placed by the technician and has a wax-like texture. The great thing about it is that once it's placed, you don't need to do anything for two weeks and then the recheck was free!!! It worked like a charm and was just so convenient, after Addie got the medication it was evident she experienced immediate relief! (See attached picture, that smile was after she got that medicine put in)! I have had both my dogs get their teeth cleaned here, one under anesthesia and the other without. I have attached pictures of those results as well. The before and after results are crazy, their teeth looked brand new! The prices were competitive with other dental cleaning prices in the area. Also, Addie has always had horrible allergies and Dr. Wood prescribed her this new miracle drug called Apoquel, it has made SUCH a difference!!! Addie is like a whole new dog, it has changed her life!!! The staff is very sensitive to costs and have never once tried to push any products or services on me, which is almost unheard of I feel like! After the visit, they give you a report card with a summary of the visit and any comments or notes they have. I loved this because a lot of times I forget what they said after I leave! They also take the time to precut the prescriptions for you to the correct dosage just to make your life easier! I've been to many vets and I have never had another vet do that for me, just speaks to their phenomenal customer service. My pups and I miss this place like crazy. I have been to several vets now and none come close to Animal Clinic of Tustin Ranch. It might just be that the other vet offices are normal and that Animal Clinic just goes WAY above and beyond, but I will say that my dogs and I were spoiled with the service we received there. I moved to Pittsburgh and both of my dogs needed surgery within a one week time period (last week- broken leg and aural hematoma), the entire week all I could do was wish I was back in Irvine where I could go in and see Dr. Wood and the phenomenal smiling staff members at Animal Clinic. We have been taking our kitty to Animal Clinic of Tustin Ranch-Irvine for 6 months now and everyone is so kind and loving to our kitty whenever she visits. Dr. Wood is a wonderful Veterinarian. Dr. Wood called us to talk about our kitty when she was in the emergency hospital for 4 days in March and was being cared for by another Vet Specialist.
