I have been going to North Tustin Veterinary for years now ,i have several pets including a senior dog.they are all like family to me, and i wouldn"t trust them to anyone else :) My senior dog has had a couple major surgeries and dr.kali and entire staff went above and beyond ..staff opened a room for me and my senior Charlie and let me stay with her until she woke from surgery.,(as senior surgeries can be risky.),came thru with flying colors once again! ..but top notch vet and staff ,with peace of mind knowing pets are in best of care :) i have a younger dog and cat also, i have taken there also for minor issues and have always gotten correct diagnose and prompt and effective treatment, :) Friendly , competent staff ,and reasonably priced :) Dr Kali is my favorite,but all the staff is wonderful! and open on Sundays too..I wouldn't trust my pets to anyone else! I was in need of a veterinarian on a Sunday for an ear issue my sweet little dachshund was having.  I dreaded having to go to the emergency vet....but also didn't want to wait until Monday to see our regular vet.I found North Tustin Veterinary Clinic down the street from my home and boy, am I glad I did!!!I was able to make an appointment right away (on a Sunday) and I was greeted my the kindest ladies at the front desk. The Doctor we saw was able to pull the awful foxtail out of my dog's ear and his life immediately improved. They are open on Sunday! So I can drop off 'carefully collected specimens' (that you DONT want hanging around in your fridge for too long) on a Saturday or Sunday. They stock lots of Rx foods and have unusual medications (in stock!) that most other practices don't store. Love Terry and the rest of the front office staff and they are open on Sunday. My only complaint? Super small waiting room... and it is difficult to navigate with large breed dogs and the other clients. Thanks it! My only beef is the itty-bitty waiting room. The doctors and staff here are wonderful.  I always felt like they gave me enough information to help me decide on the best, most practical care for my baby.  When it was time for us to euthanize, they were kind, loving and supportive.  It has touched my heart in so many ways during one of the most painful moments for our family.  I could t recommend them any more!!!!! Due to the sheer volume of fake 5 star reviews, the highest grade I ever give the best service is 4 stars. Visiting a vet rates on the list of preferred activities just below getting a root canal. I hate how many vets leverage your predicament to their financial gain. To my amazement, after visiting many clinics over the years, this clinic restored my faith in humanity. The cost was never mentioned until we were ready to leave, and was so low I felt a tad guilty as if I cheated them. The receptionist did mention half price of normal cost for first visit, but even if the cost for visit, after deducting cost of medicine, it still would have been a bargain, even compared to those so called "discount" clinics, none of which I will identify by name. To summarize, we didn't feel as if we were haggling over the purchase price of car, what a relief. Another interesting theme with this business is the women, and I will not mention her name due to the fact that most reviews praising individuals by name were left by that person, the tall women really and truly loves cats. She mentioned having 5 herself. You can see a marked difference in the cat's willingness to cooperate, especially given the vet's patience, sympathy, and knowledge. The woman really was a champ. I'm not looking forward to a returning visit, but if I do suddenly need to take my cat to the vet, this place is certainly my choice of preference. I had been taking my girl Abbey to Dr. Kali for some time. Over the years Dr. Kali has not only treated my girl with the utmost professional care. But he was so thoughtful and caring to me. After 16 years I had to make that difficult decision to let Abbey go. The entire staff and Dr. Kali were so caring and allowed us to take all the time we needed.to say our goodbyes. After a week I went to pick my girl up. I was so grateful to see how lovely they treated her remains. A nicely cedar box with a forever paw print and even a cutting of her hair. I've had two very different experiences at this place, the first time was great, the was wonderful and caring and explained everything that I needed on my new adopted pup. This time around, was a very different experience. The  vet who was attending (Dr. Kali) seemed to be AFRAID of Cooper.. stupid right? He's not only a vet but he's the owner of the business. But nope, he did not attempt to bond with Cooper to make him comfortable, he did not want to even touch him, I had to hold him up for him to look under his belly! He requested help to "look into his ear", when no one was available he proceeded to make me hold onto his face. Cooper was not happy, I'm holding his face and I felt my dog getting more and more tense. Cooper backed into my coffee and made us stop, which I'm glad. Dr Kali told us to step outside which we did but then we weren't sure what to do.. it gave me a chance to think a second and I decided to try at a different vet. I told the front staff and left. *I apologize for the mess but we were not happy with our visit today. We got out of that office as fast as we could. Read Less

First off, GREAT hours!! I originally found this vet when I woke up really early one Sunday morning last year to my dog panting heavily, whining, and unable to jump onto my bed or couch. She didn't seem to be in pain, wasn't limping, didn't seem constipated or need to go to the bathroom...but wouldn't stop heavy panting/crying...so I immediately thought she was having a heart attack or something equally as terrifying. (PetMD only intensified my worries)Our previous vet was closed on Sundays, but when I Yelped I saw this office had good reviews and was open at 7am. I called at 640 not expecting an answer and was told to come over early as the doctor was in early. I rushed over, they rushed her in...and Dr. Wentworth told me she was pretty certain my dog had just pulled a muscle in her back that would likely heal with nothing more than time and a few anti-inflammatories!!Now, being as my mind had been filled with all worst-case scenarios, I opted to go the extra-cautious route, and get blood work and an xray done just in case. She hadn't had blood work done in a few years, and had never had/needed xrays since I adopted her, so I figured at 7-ish years old, it was time. That was done quickly, and yep, the Dr. was right and she was totally fine.But what I really appreciated was the fact that Dr Wentworth didn't try to push me or up-sell anything...if anything, she was trying to "down-sell" me on the need for the blood work and xrays!! And, that she didn't make me feel stupid for my panicked "she's having a heart attack!" misdiagnosis. That, coupled with the fact that my little rescue girl who hates/is terrified by literally every vet or groomer I have ever taken her to, actually liked Dr. Wentworth made it an easy decision to move over as our new permanent vet. EDIT: Since this initial experience here, we have been in 2 more times over this last year, and my only criticism is the price for some of their services seems to be on the very high end for most comparable vet offices, particularly the cost for annual vaccinations and dental. I ended up doing my dental elsewhere (as my prior vet offered the exact same dental services at 1/3 of the charge) but I just did her annual vaccines here last week, and once again noticed that they were a lot more expensive than the standard.  I'm not unhappy enough to find a different vet but it is a little disappointing. And the other Dr who helped us, while very nice, was not someone who my pup took to the same way she did Dr. Wentworth. Oh well, I guess you can't have everything. Read Less

Really liked this place. Moved from south county and was pleasantly surprised they didn't push me to get a gazillion "baseline" tests for my 14 year-old Lab/Husky. Dr. Wentworth is amazing. Took my 6 year old Maltese Poodle mix in for a dental cleaning. She was very caring and gentle. She never pushed anything and truly cared about her patients. Took my rescue kitty here for his free exam. Dr. Wentworth was so awesome! I didn't feel rushed at all. She prescribed some medicine and even had them put a little extra in there incase the cat spit some out. Way to think ahead. She also gave some great food suggestions as we think he might have an allergy to the Iams dry food I was feeding him (he was itching and grooming excessively.) I also called around all the local vets before this visit and their office visit price was the best around. Prices for services were comparable or better than other local places too. The free first exam for a rescue, the prices, the recommendation from a neighbor, and the yelp ratings all lead to me choosing this vet.Read Less

We have taken all our dogs there for years and, over time, have seen all the vets. Every one of them has been gentle, thorough, professional, and knowledgeable. Wonderful place!!! Everyone at NTVC is professional and so willing to help their clients in any way possible. I have been taking my dog, Lily, here since getting her as a puppy. Her Dr. is Dr. Wentworth and don't know what we'd do without her. Lily has had many health problems so is there at least once a week. The clinic is organized and supportive thanks to Terry and the front office staff. Each of the vet techs are wonderful and truly love animals. Brent runs the grooming section where Lily is styled and loved. So, you can see we are familiar with the entire clinic and have nothing negative to say about anything. NTVC you are the BEST!!!!! My puppy got stung on his lip by a be while we were at the dog park. I rushed him to the closest vet that another person at the park told me about. He was so nice and took great care of my poor puppy, and I was able to pick him up later that day! I don't live close to his office, but now I make the extra drive to always take my dog to go see him. Read Less
