Not sure I would recommend this place. Dos and cats come in through the same entrance, making my kitty super nervous when a couple of huge dogs were all waiting on the same (very small) waiting area. The nurse treated my cat kind of roughly and never even asked me his name. The doctor didn't really gave me options before going ahead cleaning his sacks (which I later read its old school thinking that is the only alternative when cats 'scoot'). And I asked if it was possible that it was works, he said absolutely not-- but another vet confirmed that that is the first thing he would do. I am giving them 3 stars because they saw me as a walk-in relatively quick, and with the 'first free meeting' promotion I only paid for the cleaning fee.. In general OK if you don't have other options, but I wouldn't make this my permanent vet doctor.

Brought my little pup here after he got some type of eye ulcer. Dr. Gill is super nice and straight to the point, I appreciate that! His eye healed perfectly and he can now see!The second time was when my 9 year old dog started having some back leg issues due to IVDD. Dr. Gill was very upfront and honest with me about what I should do. He prescribed some medicine to help alleviate the pain he was having and my little boy was back to his spunky self.

Not coming back here again. My dog tore a ligament, and they did x-rays and blood works, suggested surgeries (for the torn ligament plus "something else" found in the x-rays) and prescribed medications for inflammation and pain. What was disturbing is the utter unprofessionalism of the staff. The medication was not explained, what each one is or what they're for. One of the medicine containers did not have the medical term; just the brand name. When i took it elsewhere for a refill the vet pharmacist couldn't tell what it was, so they had to call back this place for the proper name. The vet knew what he was doing, but the other staff looked like family members with no medical background whatsoever.

Taking in my dog to treat a skin condition she had. They had a free first exam visit and thought I should take advantage of this offer. I called in the morning and was lucky enough to get an appointment that same morning. This place was pretty easy to find, it's off the main road on mission blvd. The staff members were okay, not super friendly but not disrespectful either. There was another patient who came in after me but needed immediate assistance. They were under staff today and my appointment was going to take longer. Which was fine with me because if my dog had an emergency I would want help right away. My Shiba Inu is very sketzy and has super bad anxiety problems. When the doctor came in, she basically climbed all over me and avoiding the don't and nurse as much as possible. He told me that's it's okay and somehow calmed her down enough where he can look at her. I was pretty impressed and shocked because she will usually fight to the end. she was still anxious but he knew how to calm her down. Prices are reasonable when compared to online websites. Blood work was 150 which kind of put me back a little bit. Wish he gave me a warning but he was busy running around the office trying to catch up on all of the appointments that were backed up. Overall I thought it was a good place. I would give this place another try if I need to come back.

My German Shepherd got really sick and he could not even move. From a happy, friendly and loving animal, he became a sad dog that could not even move, eat or stay awake. I took him to a Vet and she charged me 1100$ and did not even know what was going on with my dog. The whole process took 7 days and at the end she told me that she basically could not help me. I took him to the SAGE. They told me that they will run some test and that would cost me a couple of thousands bucks. I was desperate and did not know what to do. My uncle told me about Veterinary Medical Center so I decided to take him there to see Dr Gill. I was really surprised. The doctor was such an honest man. I liked his behavior a lot. He examined my baby and told me that he will give him some pills, but added that if it did not work, he would not charge me. He prescribed the meds and told me that he would bounce back in 24 hours. And that is exactly what happened. I went back to Dr.Gills office the next day with tears in my eyes to thank him and pay him. He would not take the money and when I insisted his receptionist only charged me 50$. I had a really nice experience. I strongly recommend Dr. Gill for your pet.

This Client gives Dr. Gill a five-star rating! I have been taking my cats to Dr. Gill ever since he opened his practice in Union City. Before Dr. Gill, I had a long history of skipping from vet to vet because I was unsatisfied with one thing or another and uncomfortable. I have been very satisfied with Dr. Gill because he is a very concerned doctor regarding how people feel about their pets and makes sure that all my questions and concerns are addressed. He has been very conscientious in every way and he has made me feel more comfortable by calling to see how I'm dealing with particular problems after I care for my animal at home. I don't want to forget to mention Dr. Gill's office is the cleanest veterinary facility I've ever been in. Prices are fair and about what you would expect for services offered overall. While I imagine some pets are hard to handle, Dr. Gill and his staff have always demonstrated they are well prepared and my cats seem surprisingly more at ease than than I would have expected. Highly recommended for people that truly love their pets!

Doctor Gill and staff are great. They take the time to answer our questions and also give good insight for things that we generally don't know much about. My wife and I consider ourselves informed pet owners and try to stay current with knowledge that will keep our GSD Bear healthy (that's his picture up there ;)Also we really love that Dr. Gill doesn't gouge on pricing. The visits and medication are far less expensive than at more mainstream vets and we're very appreciative of that. Cleanliness: This office is always clean and does not even smell like a vet! They have a office cat but it neither bothers our dogs nor stinks up to office. :) Affordability: VERY AFFORDABLE. Our 1 month old kitten Penny Layne gives a BIG thank you to Dr. Gill and his helpful, friendly & caring staff...She found us about a week ago, and not in the best shape. So we called the nearest vet office closest to our house. He was able to get Penny in next day to begin her treatment. After 1 week, her infection has cleared up and already gained 1 pound, yep my little piggy!! She feels so much better and is a happy healthy baby!!Office exams, vaccinations, reasonable rates!!! We highly recommend Dr. G and this is our new furry family Dr.

Cody, my cat, just got his teeth clean by Dr. Gill. Cody is a bit of a handful, but with Dr Gill's gentle care, he came through the procedure just fine. He knows what people expect from a vet, good service at a good price. Over the last 8 years we have taken 10 puppies and 2 dogs to Dr. Gill. He has done; tails, dew claws, teeth cleaning, ear surgery and yearly vaccines. I asked Dr. Gill what was the best dog food on the market I could buy for my boy yorkie; he said "the food that makes him healthy, you have to try a few out and his stomach will decide". He didn't push any brand yet recommend the ingredients to watch out for.

Dr. Gil has been taking care of my dog since we moved to Fremont 4 years ago. He has always been kind, caring, and understanding of our needs. He always clearly explained the options whenever our dog required treatment and never pushed for optional procedures. We feel she is in good hands in boarding our dog there when we travel. The only drawback is that the boarding area is small. It is understandable because this is a small operation and not set up to be a boarding kennel. I would be somewhat hesitant to board a dog larger than 40 lbs. there.

After reviewing his itemized quote, we were able to negotiate a fair price for all the required services plus suggested neutering services which would also be included in final cost estimate; so we agreed to move forward. Surgery treatment began by early p.m and I was called by 5p.m; so I picked up my mended Pup by end of day. Eventhough this whole event turned out to be very co$tly for us, the most important aspect was the value that we received as to how quickly and efficiently this facility was able to help us with our pets medical concerns and peace of mind when other places would or could not deliver at a time of need. The follow-up care, meds and routine visits for our K9 were also an added bonus with Dr. Gill's constant guidance, instruction and professional concern favoring the well being of our furry-kid throughout this whole climatic experience...Thanks again Dr. Gill!

I reallly liked that. American Vet we waited sometimes way over one hour in waiting room . We were first time pet owners and went to another vet that we did not like. The comparrison to Dr. Gill surpassed our expectations.Hoo Ray for Dr.Gill and his staff.

We have spent a lot of money at this vet and at first we had no problems. #1. About a 2 yrs ago my dog was literally dying! from eating apple seeds (they have syanide in them when bitten into) and he directs me to go to a vet all the way off of highland in Oakland! I understood maybe he doesn't handle emergencies so I took him to an emergency vet in Fremont 30 mins away where he passed. They said if someone flushed him out right away he may have survived. #2. Last night at 1am my 11 mnth old puppy started drastically bleeding out of his nose and we slowed it down with an ice pack, but could not stop it. We took him into the vet first thing (830am) and again were turned away. At this point my dog was bleeding so much it was literally pouring out of his nose and we're turned away??!! He said there is too much blood for him to be sedated and again told us to go to a vet all the way in San Leandro or Fremont. What kind of vet does that? Does he actually care about the dog? Or is he not fully educated about his profession? You're wasting your time for any serious situations. Staff is very nice. . . . . . We took him to a vet down the street on Mission toward Hayward and they told us they'd never turn a dog away in his condition. That's more like it.

Not sure I would recommend this place. Dos and cats come in through the same entrance, making my kitty super nervous when a couple of huge dogs were all waiting on the same (very small) waiting area. The nurse treated my cat kind of roughly and never even asked me his name. The doctor didn't really gave me options before going ahead cleaning his sacks (which I later read its old school thinking that is the only alternative when cats 'scoot'). And I asked if it was possible that it was works, he said absolutely not-- but another vet confirmed that that is the first thing he would do. I am giving them 3 stars because they saw me as a walk-in relatively quick, and with the 'first free meeting' promotion I only paid for the cleaning fee.. In general OK if you don't have other options, but I wouldn't make this my permanent vet doctor.

Brought my little pup here after he got some type of eye ulcer. Dr. Gill is super nice and straight to the point, I appreciate that! His eye healed perfectly and he can now see!The second time was when my 9 year old dog started having some back leg issues due to IVDD. Dr. Gill was very upfront and honest with me about what I should do. He prescribed some medicine to help alleviate the pain he was having and my little boy was back to his spunky self.

My dog tore a ligament, and they did x-rays and blood works, suggested surgeries (for the torn ligament plus "something else" found in the x-rays) and prescribed medications for inflammation and pain. What was disturbing is the utter unprofessionalism of the staff. The medication was not explained, what each one is or what they're for. One of the medicine containers did not have the medical term; just the brand name. When i took it elsewhere for a refill the vet pharmacist couldn't tell what it was, so they had to call back this place for the proper name. The vet knew what he was doing, but the other staff looked like family members with no medical background whatsoever.

Taking in my dog to treat a skin condition she had. They had a free first exam visit and thought I should take advantage of this offer. I called in the morning and was lucky enough to get an appointment that same morning. This place was pretty easy to find, it's off the main road on mission blvd. The staff members were okay, not super friendly but not disrespectful either. There was another patient who came in after me but needed immediate assistance. They were under staff today and my appointment was going to take longer. Which was fine with me because if my dog had an emergency I would want help right away. My Shiba Inu is very sketzy and has super bad anxiety problems. When the doctor came in, she basically climbed all over me and avoiding the don't and nurse as much as possible. He told me that's it's okay and somehow calmed her down enough where he can look at her. I was pretty impressed and shocked because she will usually fight to the end. she was still anxious but he knew how to calm her down. Prices are reasonable when compared to online websites. Blood work was 150 which kind of put me back a little bit. Wish he gave me a warning but he was busy running around the office trying to catch up on all of the appointments that were backed up. Overall I thought it was a good place. I would give this place another try if I need to come back.

My German Shepherd got really sick and he could not even move. From a happy, friendly and loving animal, he became a sad dog that could not even move, eat or stay awake. I took him to a Vet and she charged me 1100$ and did not even know what was going on with my dog. The whole process took 7 days and at the end she told me that she basically could not help me. I took him to the SAGE. They told me that they will run some test and that would cost me a couple of thousands bucks. I was desperate and did not know what to do. My uncle told me about Veterinary Medical Center so I decided to take him there to see Dr Gill. I was really surprised. The doctor was such an honest man. I liked his behavior a lot. He examined my baby and told me that he will give him some pills, but added that if it did not work, he would not charge me. He prescribed the meds and told me that he would bounce back in 24 hours. And that is exactly what happened. I went back to Dr.Gills office the next day with tears in my eyes to thank him and pay him. He would not take the money and when I insisted his receptionist only charged me 50$. I had a really nice experience. I strongly recommend Dr. Gill for your pet.

This Client gives Dr. Gill a five-star rating! I have been taking my cats to Dr. Gill ever since he opened his practice in Union City. Before Dr. Gill, I had a long history of skipping from vet to vet because I was unsatisfied with one thing or another and uncomfortable. I have been very satisfied with Dr. Gill because he is a very concerned doctor regarding how people feel about their pets and makes sure that all my questions and concerns are addressed. He has been very conscientious in every way and he has made me feel more comfortable by calling to see how I'm dealing with particular problems after I care for my animal at home. I don't want to forget to mention Dr. Gill's office is the cleanest veterinary facility I've ever been in. Prices are fair and about what you would expect for services offered overall. While I imagine some pets are hard to handle, Dr. Gill and his staff have always demonstrated they are well prepared and my cats seem surprisingly more at ease than than I would have expected. Highly recommended for people that truly love their pets!

My wife and I consider ourselves informed pet owners and try to stay current with knowledge that will keep our GSD Bear healthy (that's his picture up there ;)Also we really love that Dr. Gill doesn't gouge on pricing. The visits and medication are far less expensive than at more mainstream vets and we're very appreciative of that. Our 1 month old kitten Penny Layne gives a BIG thank you to Dr. Gill and his helpful, friendly & caring staff...She found us about a week ago, and not in the best shape. So we called the nearest vet office closest to our house. He was able to get Penny in next day to begin her treatment. After 1 week, her infection has cleared up and already gained 1 pound, yep my little piggy!! She feels so much better and is a happy healthy baby!!Office exams, vaccinations, reasonable rates!!! We highly recommend Dr. G and this is our new furry family Dr.

He knows what people expect from a vet, good service at a good price. Over the last 8 years we have taken 10 puppies and 2 dogs to Dr. Gill. He has done; tails, dew claws, teeth cleaning, ear surgery and yearly vaccines. I asked Dr. Gill what was the best dog food on the market I could buy for my boy yorkie; he said "the food that makes him healthy, you have to try a few out and his stomach will decide". He didn't push any brand yet recommend the ingredients to watch out for.

Dr. Gil has been taking care of my dog since we moved to Fremont 4 years ago. He has always been kind, caring, and understanding of our needs. He always clearly explained the options whenever our dog required treatment and never pushed for optional procedures. We feel she is in good hands in boarding our dog there when we travel. The only drawback is that the boarding area is small. It is understandable because this is a small operation and not set up to be a boarding kennel. I would be somewhat hesitant to board a dog larger than 40 lbs. there.

After reviewing his itemized quote, we were able to negotiate a fair price for all the required services plus suggested neutering services which would also be included in final cost estimate; so we agreed to move forward. Surgery treatment began by early p.m and I was called by 5p.m; so I picked up my mended Pup by end of day. Eventhough this whole event turned out to be very co$tly for us, the most important aspect was the value that we received as to how quickly and efficiently this facility was able to help us with our pets medical concerns and peace of mind when other places would or could not deliver at a time of need. The follow-up care, meds and routine visits for our K9 were also an added bonus with Dr. Gill's constant guidance, instruction and professional concern favoring the well being of our furry-kid throughout this whole climatic experience...Thanks again Dr. Gill!

I reallly liked that. American Vet we waited sometimes way over one hour in waiting room . We were first time pet owners and went to another vet that we did not like. About a 2 yrs ago my dog was literally dying! from eating apple seeds (they have syanide in them when bitten into) and he directs me to go to a vet all the way off of highland in Oakland! I understood maybe he doesn't handle emergencies so I took him to an emergency vet in Fremont 30 mins away where he passed. They said if someone flushed him out right away he may have survived. #2. Last night at 1am my 11 mnth old puppy started drastically bleeding out of his nose and we slowed it down with an ice pack, but could not stop it. We took him into the vet first thing (830am) and again were turned away. At this point my dog was bleeding so much it was literally pouring out of his nose and we're turned away??!! He said there is too much blood for him to be sedated and again told us to go to a vet all the way in San Leandro or Fremont. What kind of vet does that? Does he actually care about the dog? Or is he not fully educated about his profession? You're wasting your time for any serious situations. Staff is very nice. . . . . . We took him to a vet down the street on Mission toward Hayward and they told us they'd never turn a dog away in his condition. That's more like it.
