How do I start? After the first time we brought in our dog for a regular wellness checkup (mind you, all of his lab results were within normal limits. Although a little "overweight" in their opinion, he was physically healthy, they said), he became TERRIBLY sick. Initially, we thought it wasn't anything significant so we decided not to give this hospital a call. Two days later, he still had a fever (104F or higher), wasn't eating, drinking, was lethargic, weak to the point that he couldn't go up and down the stairs, he couldn't run to us when we get home, he was just not himself. We brought him in for the 2nd time and they came up with a whole bunch of excuses that had nothing to do with the "care" they provided the day he had a wellness checkup. The hospital tried to put the blame on us! How professional, haha! They said it's from the dewormers WE have given him when in fact, we never gave him the dewormers because our dog was already sick! Then, they said he probably got something from outside when we never took our dog out for a walk those past two days because he was obviously sick and it was raining, our dog hates the rain. You can just sense the lack of knowledge these people have, it's infuriating! Anyway, they gave him a whole bunch of medications that didn't help. What I hate the most is they NEVER BOTHERED TO FOLLOW UP ON OUR DOG. He was still sick for a week, didn't eat, didn't drink, so we took him some place else where he was given the care and interventions he appropriately needed and was back to who he was.3rd time bringing our dog in, it was for oral care, HE DIDN'T WANT TO GO IN. That alone speaks volumes about how they previously handled our dog, to the point that he recognizes the place and knows he was mistreated! Though my dog's teeth came back clean, that still doesn't justify the fact that his formerly pink chest skin was covered with A LARGE RED-BLACK ECCHYMOSIS. We thoroughly assessed him for pain all over his body, especially where the bruise was. THEY SHOULD BE THANKFUL HE WASN'T IN ANY PAIN. So we let the bruise heal by itself, and a week after his oral check-up, it's just now returning to his normal pink skin. They're lucky they're even getting a star, they did a heck of job to our dog's teeth. But NO MORE BANFIELD. Our dog deserves better. Read Less
