I went to this veterinary center because I saw the great reviews it got here on Yelp, I had an emergency, and wanted to take my 7 year old English Bulldog to the best place. I'm glad I did, even though I already had an appointment at the vet where I used to take him to, and who did not do a good job, and even though I was told on the phone that there might be a wait of an hour at least since I was going there on a walk-in basis.First of all, the receptionist was super kind, welcoming, and accommodating. She took us in, although it was 4:30 pm, and they had other pets in line to see Dr. Oh.Then, we saw Dr. Oh, and not only was he spot-on with the diagnosis of my dog's illness, but he could handle him easily, and that is really a big thing for us, because he tends to get aggressive when he is ill. Dr. Oh and his straight forward, no nonsense handling of my dog's medical emergency saved his life! It turns out my pet needed emergency bladder surgery, and he not only got in touch with the best surgeon at Valencia Veterinary Center, but he went as far as emailing him, and sending him all of my pet's medical records.I cannot be more grateful to have found this Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Oh and his staff are the best, and thanks to them my English Bulldog is still alive! We have had our 3 cats taken care of by Doctor OH for the past year. I can't say enough good things. These people are WONDERFUL. My dog had insanely bad teeth and gums and had to have 21 teeth extracted. Not only was everyone very nice and reassuring, but the doctor even cut me a deal because so many teeth had to be pulled which can rack up a medical bill. I had the good fortune of meeting Dr. Oh when he was covering for another vet in the area. We had just moved to Santa Clarita and I had seen a few veterinarians but was unimpressed with their care and attention toward our dog. At the time we had an older, dysplastic Rottweiler who was all love and heart and I just didn't get a warm, caring feeling from any of the vets until I met Dr. Oh. When he first met me he was very polite and friendly and most importantly to me, was warm, caring and loving to my dog. In addition to his kindness and gentleness he proved to be incredibly bright, well trained and also cost conscious. We immediately moved to the care of Dr. Oh in his now practice at AMC and I RAVE about him at dog parks, the mall or ANYWHERE that ANYONE asks me who our vet is. He guided us through the care and ultimate loss of our rottie with love and compassion and has gone through the puppy and young adult stages with our new dog. The service we receive at AMC is the best. Our three dogs have been seen by Dr. Oh for a number of reasons and each time we are always happy with the outcome. When I adopted my first two dogs they were extremely ill - on the brink of death - with Giardia, and infestation of worms and fleas. Dr. Oh created a treatment plan that kept them alive and well. Recently we had one of our dogs spayed and she had a bad reaction to anesthesia (seizure) and Dr. Oh was quick to treat her, calm her down and allow me to hold her in my arms until he felt she was ready to go home. His staff are always friendly and helpful. We could not have been happier with AMC and Dr. Oh. We are moving to Australia in October and will be sad to say goodbye. Read Less

It is so nice to see that a vet is willing to use alternative methods to try and heal an animal instead of just doing surgery for an outrageous price or prescribing multiple medications. Finest vet in santa clarita.  Dr Oh and Dr Kim genuinely love animals. We cant express how much they are appreciated. They have been our vets for 11 years. Staff seems to be noted bt their love for animals too. Also the cost is extreem reasonable. And they have never charged us for follow ups. Also never tried to up sell us. As a matter of fact Ive wondered why he doesn't charge more. Simply the best as i wish Dr Oh was a people doctor. My Macs doctor is better than our doctor. Read Less

Dr. Oh helped our family navigate through a cancer diagnosis for our pooch. He diagnosed and treated him with kindness and thoughts to the animals comfort. He turned him into a miracle dog when the veterinary oncologist said to amputate and it would only allow our dog to live 2 -4 months. We had Dr. Oh amputate -he did a beautiful job - and following Dr. Oh's care plan our dog lived a healthy, active 3 1/2 years longer. His staff was fabulous, Dr. Oh was very professional and caring. I was responsible for a friend's three labs while he was out of town. One morning, one of them had a swollen neck that turned out to be a rattlesnake bite. Talk about a terrifying experience! He is an older dog but still in good health so I was in a justified panic that my friend's oldest pet was going to die prematurely on my watch. I took him here knowing that I was going to be one to tell my friend the bad news if they couldn't make magic happen. The front desk staff had seen him before for vaccinations and the like so fortunately they had everything for him on record. They were really great about having me there instead of his owner. Of course I was able to provide all the accurate contact info and other information pertaining to him. Anyway, I gave them permission to keep him overnight. Longest night ever! They ended up treating him for the bite with anti venom, giving him lots of fluids, and he recovered! They gave me a call the next morning and I picked him up that day along with plenty of medications to aid in his recovery. They said he got very lucky with the way the fangs must have gone in. No necrotic tissue. No permanent damage. Out of the woods. I can't speak to what it ended up costing but I am glad they did what they did. So is my friend. Read Less

He's treated her from fox tails in her ears to diagnosing her with Lymphoma last week. We were all devastated with the diagnosis. The sensitivity and kindness Dr Oh showed was above and beyond anything I have experienced from any veterinarian I have used over the past 40 yrs of having animals. Ok 1st off I am a disabled fmr Marine, who suffers from ptsd, and trauma, mentally as well as physically. I have a svc dog Jack a 5 yr old Dobermann, he's starting to show some sickly sighns, so I called this place and asked would they work w a disabled vet until I received my benefits on july16th. NO! is what I was told, so they showed not the least bit concern, or compassion. I do not think im not better than anyone else. But it really made me sick. Semper Fidelis! Our dog, who needed emergency surgery in February 2012, met Dr Oh at Valencia Veterinary Center, where Dr Oh performed the surgery that saved his life. At every step of the way, we were given pricing estimates up-front, and allowed to review and approve all procedures and costs. Dr Oh then provided follow-up care to our dog at Animal Medical Center (which is his normal work location), and I can't say enough positive about him and the staff. They are all caring people, knowledgeable, and during multiple follow-up visits, and regular check-ups since then, I had plenty of opportunities to witness other animals and owners being treated with the same consideration and respect that I experienced. Both facilities were very fair with costs, and always made sure we understood what we were paying for. Our dog has recovered, and is in excellent spirits, and I have recommended Animal Medical Center to my friends with pets. Dr Oh is a great vet. For anyone who remembers Dr Bonavera at Canyon Country Animal Hospital (who sadly passed away in 2008), Dr Oh has the same kind of love and respect for animals. I recently boarded my dog here and I requested a tour from one of the staff members just to see where my dog would stay when I was going out of town for a week. I must say unlike I most of the clinics I have been to this place was spotless and was in great condition. In fact, I would not mind staying here!!! also, it appeared like a shipshape hospital with all this technological equipment and surgery rooms..indeed impressed! Read Less
