I brought my 2 dogs here for spay appointments and it was terrible. The vet tech at the front counter (middle aged white lady) kept making fun of my first dog for being a little shaggy and kept saying “mommy and daddy need to get you a haircut” and when we first walked in she said “Don’t tell me you’re here for grooming”. We don’t have big bucks and didn’t have any time to take her to a groomer, so that was totally uncalled for. As for my other dog, a 5 pound chihuahua, the doctor handled her pretty roughly and he accidentally left one stitch on her belly. When we called to say that, he told us that he took all the stitches out and when we insisted that he missed it, he was saying we could bring her in but he was going to charge us for taking it out. Charging us for one stitch! I ended up having my vet tech cousin remove it and I’m absolutely appalled by this place. Go to redwood veterinary hospital if you want quality care! Read Less

The staff was fine, but they used metal stitches on my baby when I took her to get fixed. They're awful. Luckily, they haven't protruded from her torso like my vet says she's seen. I guess make sure to specify cloth stiches. Read Less

I adopted my husky from the humane society of north bay and part of their adoption requirements was that I get my dog spayed through this specific clinic. When they called me with my reminder they told me I had to cut her off from eating at 9pm since her appointment was at 945(ok that's fine you'll see where it gets ridiculous later on). When we go into to drop her off they're requiring that we put a credit card on file even tho this whole procedure is already paid for through our adoption fees, and they start asking all these random questions that have nothing to do with her getting spayed. In that whole process they're trying to basically upsell us on things that should be included in the whole procedure(such as an iv drip). So fast forward to 330 when they told us she'd be ready to be picked back up. My friend goes in to get her and give them our names and they tell him there's no such dog under either one of our names(come to find out they had put it under a completely different last name, how idk because they had it right when they called me and when we dropped her off). After they figure out which dog is ours they give him the instructions about after care and proceed to tell him if we want pain meds for her that we'll have to pay $55 for a 2 day dose, can someone please tell me why she isn't being sent home with some type of pain meds what so ever unless we pay for it?! They then proceed to tell us she can't eat until 7am the next day! Why am I starving my dog for almost 36 hours?! Lastly we get home with her and look at where they cut her open to see she's still covered in blood(she didn't get any on me during the ride home which means it was dried by the time we picked her up). Luckily my friend lives with a vet tech so he cleaned her up and said the stitches were also done horribly. NEVER again will I go back to this place, not even to get her stitches removed! I'd rather go to a new vet and pay them to remove them! Horrible service I've ever had with a animal clinic!!!!Read Less

Horrendous. Took dog in for annual exam because we are new to the area and the vet tried to tell us her dog wart could be cancer-totally untrue, our prior vet in so cal had it checked out over a year ago! Charged us 40 for hydra cortisone spray to alleviate the itching she had from it. Did a home remedy at home and wart is completely gone. This place is a waste of your time and money. Read Less

Dr. Harry is AMAZING! He takes great care in the health of my pet and I respect his opinion and approach. Having an ill pet is not easy. Balancing quality of life vs. quantity of life for a family member that can not talk is difficult. Dr. Harry personally follows-up with me on medication and tests and it is a nice personal touch. Worst vet in Vallejo all they care about is making money and every procedure is overly priced. I took my cat for a checkup because she had stopped eating. They told me that she might have cancer or a tumor under her tongue because it was ripped and damaged. They suggested surgery to stitch up the tongue immediately and so i did and they charged me a ton of money. After the surgery they took a sample of her tongue meat and sent it to the lab and charged me extra money for the results and it was bad news. She got cancer and recommended me to go to a specialist in uc davis for chemotherapy. There was no way i could afford that so i decided to stop taking her to this terrible vet. I now have no option but to put her to sleep because she has lost over 3 pounds and cannot eat anything whatsoever. she is suffering and have no other option left. They have helped us through many a hard times and every time we left we felt the right thing was being done. A few years ago I acquired a white stray male cat with half of his tail ripped off, and the tail was terribly infected. I was able to get antibiotics in tablets on credit, as I am already a customer there. Then When I realized his tail wasn't getting better, I called Broadway, even though I had no money. Melanie said, "Just bring him in." So he ended up needing a tail amputation. My sister lent me $100 to put down and they allowed me to pay off the other $200 in monthly installments. Fran even gave me flea drops on credit while I still way paying for the amputation balance.I also get a better price for the type and amount of flea drops I buy from Broadway Pet Hospital than online.
