The vets here do a great job and everyone that we've seen has been super attentive to our concerns and given good diagnosis and treatments. They follow up every time one of our pets is on a treatment. They also helped to properly treat an issue that had been mishandled by our previous vet. Because there are multiple doctors its way easier to get appointments and they are great with reminders and other technology. If all my vets had been this good I might not appreciate them so much, but with three dogs you really realize how valuable a good vet is. Read Less

I have brought all my dogs here for years. The staff and doctors are wonderful, caring, and true animal lovers themselves. When we had to have our 17 years old family put down, the level of care and kindness given us was above and beyond. We were greeted and immediately escorted to a private opratory. We were given time to be with our pet. The whole process went at our pace. The doctor was notified when we were ready and he came in quickly and explained exactly how the process would go. Wonderful, carring veterinarians and an excellent support staff. Appointments are necessary. They have cared for our pets for 20 plus years. When your pet is injured or ill the veterinarian, not an assistant, calls the next day to learn how your pet has responded to treatment. The AMC also includes boarding and grooming. As a rescuer and owner of three cats, I have been to over 20 vets in the LA area. This is one of the best practices I have been too. All the vets are nice, caring knowledgeable and good with my cats. I have seen Dr. Viete and Dr. Kennedey. Last year Dr. Viete identified a heart problem in my cat Teddy. My vet on the west side didn't catch it. She referred me to a great cardiologist and I got two months to say goodbye. I am so grateful to the care that I received. I would highly recommend this vet practice. I tried out many different vets in the valley but this one is by far the best one I've been to. It's a bit expensive but at least I feel like they actually care about my dogs there. I've once had a bad experience because I called to tell them my dog was pregnant and the doctor was very rude and told me I should do an abortion for my dog. Which I did not appreciate. I did not listen to him and have now 2 wonderful healthy puppies who I absolutely love . But other than that I have had really good experiences. It gets very busy there so I recommend to call for an appointment. If you don't expect to wait for an hour or longer.Read Less

Dr. Erin Bennett examined my poor, little Chuffy, a 10 pound poodle mix who fell off a retaining wall...or maybe jumped. She X-rayed his right front leg and discovered a broken radius and ulna. Dr. Bennett referred us to Dr. Jana Norris at Access Emergency in Woodland Hills for orthopedic surgery. Dr. Bennett was terrific. She explained the situation clearly. I just can't say enough good things about Dr. Viete. My cat Mulder is getting old and I sometimes do feel like I'm overworrying about every little thing going on with him now. Today I wanted to get his eyes checked and was worried because he was having stomach troubles. Dr. Viete assured me that the eyes change was just due to age and that it's possible the sickness came from my cat needing more food during the day. I'm writing this because she knows my financial situation and it was kind of her to just charge the bare minimum for what might be false alarms. She greatly cares for Mulder and it shows. Read Less

The care and love shown to the pets is of the highest quality. My 20+ year old Dandie Dinmont Terrier was a patient there. His doctor of record was Dr. Lloyd Pilch. Teddy crossed over the rainbow three weeks ago and nothing was spared to make his transition comfortable and with love. All was done to make Teddy's stay on earth wonderful and fun. I received a letter from the Los Angeles County Veterinary Public Health stating that our dog needed to be quarantined because she bite someone. She did bite someone, our Vet, whose clinic we've used for 7 years. When we bring our dogs (12lbs/18lbs) we always let the vet and staff know the dogs may bite because they get anxious and to put a muzzle on them. By law the bite must be reported, which we are ok with, but she gave us no notice and we felt blindsided. We were shocked to know that Dr. Chadik of Animal Medical Center reported our dog as though she was a stray prone to rabies rather than a little dog that the Vet has been seeing since she was a puppy. A simple heads up would have been appreciated. Read Less

Dr Kennedy is truly one-of-a-kind and AMAZING! I have taken 3 generations of pets to him and everyone there is very nice and helpful. But even beyond that, they go the extra distance.....when my 4-pound Yorkie needed to have surgery I couldn't cope with the thought of her being in a cage and coming out of anesthesia with only strangers around her, so Dr. Kennedy allowed me to have an exam room to myself for the entire day, where I camped out on the floor with blankets and towels and he put my Yorkie right into my arms after surgery and she woke up to her mommy's loving face. She stayed with me in that room, recovering from surgery for 6 hours, and the doctor just kept coming in to check on her and do whatever other medical things needed to be done. All at no extra charge to me. Also, after caring for my cat for her 18 years of life, it was horrible to have to end her life because she was suffering from cancer. Dr. Kennedy gave me the time alone with her to say goodbye and allowed me to hold her as he gave her the shot. Then he didn't even charge me for that visit at all. So kind and caring. Later I received a sympathy card about the passing of my cat, signed by everyone in the office. It just feels like a family there. And he is super great about returning all calls the same day, or the very next day he is back in the office. I am grateful for all he, and the office, has done for my pets over the years. You'll be in good hands here. Yes the parking can be a bit tough and cramped but they do have a valet attendant now, and yes the bills can be expensive but all pet care is. I don't feel that the prices here are unreasonable or any higher than anyplace else and whenever I have called around to compare they are usually charging less per item or procedure than others in the local areas. Terrible experience.. First you must valet your car. My lab almost got lose in the parking lot. I waited over 2 hours to see a rude vet.. they gave me an estimate of 400dollars just for a stomach ache. They made me sign a release when I thought full xrays and blood work was not necessary for some stomach ache and just wanted medicine.. Its all about the money there.. look for another vet. I have taken my cats here for more than 30 years. I've had excellent care from Dr. Pilch, but Dr. Kennedy is my regular vet. He has always shown care and compassion and faithfully returns calls. During one difficult health crisis with one of my cats, Cr. Kennedy met me at the clinic on a Sunday so I could visit with my cat (who was being treated over the weekend) and encourage him to eat.The staff is amazingly consistent; constant turnover being a red flag for me.There is a tiny parking lot, but during busy times they have an attendant who will shuffle cars as needed. This is a fairly good place but the one problem I had was with Dr. Veite refusing to address my dog's seizure problems. The dog started having seizures in 2010 and it took me months of research to figure out it was seizures. When I took her to this place, Veite just kept saying that she's reluctant to diagnose it as a seizure disorder because of the harshness of the treatment. But how was the dog supposed to keep living with seizures? It got to the point where the dog was having petite mal seizures every day and I called her frantic for some kind of help. She continued to refuse to give the dog any seizure medication. I finally had to switch vets. I had to go to an expensive vet in Studio City who made the official diagnosis of seizure disorder and prescribed medication. The dog has been on that medication since then and has not had any more seizures and is a happy healthy dog. Why Veite was so resistant and cost us so much time and anguish is beyond me. Yes, the medication is harsh, but is seizing better? Made no sense to me. But worse, when I called frantic about on-going and increasing seizures, I was basically treated as a nuisance. If you've seen someone have a grand mal seizure, you know how frightening it is. I was going through this and they treated my fear and anguish as a petty annoyance. Not very nice. Perhaps others have had a better experience here. They are basically polite and competent, but this was important and they failed me.
