You will never find a better place for your special ones. Dr. Fowell is amazing. She saved my Smokey and she really cares. The entire staff truly cares. They are not just doing their jobs. There is a huge difference and it shows. Also Dr. Martinez another Dr that has answered so many of my questions I feel sorry for him. I have talked and talked. He always takes the time to call me right back and makes sure I fully understand. Like a having a picture book in front of me 😊 they never end a conversation without being sure I fully understand. Every staff member is a true professional and you just know how much they care and how dedicated they are! Absolutely love them💜 Smokey and COCO love going there even if they just received shots they will walk right back in if you let them. Which makes me comfortable taking them or if They have to spend the day I know they are being taken care of and hsppy! I have 8 pets. 2 Flemish giants, 2 mini lops, 2 chinchillas, and 2 cats. They all go to East Ventura Animal Hospital. Dr. Martinez is a cat expert and Dr. Fowell is incredible with exotics. The staff is always professional and friendly. I highly recommend bringing your pets here for veterinary care. Veterinary services cost money but I feel they go out of their way to make sure your animal receives the best care possible. I was also with my mother when she put down her dog and Dr. Martinez showed sincere empathy and love to both my mom and Coco. We had to put our furbaby; Skipper, down on Monday which was not an easy decision. I have to commend Doc Martinez & his staff for being so kind & sympathetic during this tough time. I would recommend this place to any of my fnds/family! They let us comfort our pup till the very end! Let us stay in the room w/our furbaby as long as we wanted! Can't Thank EVAH enough for the loving care my two aging Corgi's, Tom And MiMi, receive from them. From Tom's last days to Mimi's continuing acupuncture, what can really be a trying visit, they make it more comfortable to endure. The extended hours are a real plus and make it easier for uninterrupted care by Veterinarians who know their history. I was referred here by BUNS (Bunnies Urgently Needing Shelter) Santa Barbara. They recommended Dr. Fowell as a vet for my bunnies. I found her to be extremely knowledgable and to have genuine care for my bunnies. I'm a very pick bunny mom when it comes to vets, and have been disappointed in the past when I know MORE than the vet about bunny issues, treatment, etc. That is not the case with Dr. Fowell! Another standout positive about this place: You are seen at your appointment time, on the dot. If you make an appointment for 2:20 pm, you are seen at 2:20 pm. Last October our little mini Dachshund became paralyzed. We took her in on Saturday and she didn't have a very good prognosis without surgery. We inquired if there were other options because she was 12. We feared she wouldn't do well with the surgery. We met with Dr. Bohman. She does acupuncture with animals. What a wonderful lady. East Ventura Animal Hospital has been so wonderful to us and our dogs. When we adopted our first dog, we were recommended there by a friend and haven't gone anywhere else since. When that same dog became sick with Osteosarcoma, they took such great care of him. Even though he didn't like being at the vet almost every week, we could tell that the staff was always happy to see him. I will always be in debt to Dr Martinez for the wonderful care he have our Sunny. He educated us on treatment options, and never pushed us one way or the other, always allowing us to make decisions, right up until the day Sunny couldn't fight anymore and he had to be put down.Read Less

Front office staff is helpful and friendly. Dr. Fowell is absolutely wonderful, knowledgeable and kind. I have rescued house rabbits, and it is very difficult to find vets who truly are experts on rabbit care. EVAH is the first place I have gone where I didn't feel I had to question what the vet said about my rabbits, and I could trust and learn from her. I know my rabbits are in great hands now.
