Dr. Moore and her staff were professional, highly skilled and compassionate with our dog from the moment we walked in the office. Our shepherd is receiving laser treatments to help the skin recover on his tail. The tail lesions appeared visibly better after the first treatment and are continuing to improve with each brief treatment (3 in total). We are relieved and grateful that his tail is healing so well, so quickly (less than two weeks) and with very little stress to our dog. We highly recommend Moore Veterinary Care and are so appreciative of Dr. Karen Moore and her staffs' expertise. Thank you, Luann & David Furman

We visited this clinic when our guinea pig fell ill. She is better now, thanks to them. They were courteous and showed genuine concern for us. Dr. Moore is very knowledgable with guinea pigs and treated her as if she were her own. The clinic was clean. Every time I've called they ask about how she is doing. We are so grateful for having found this clinic, because veterinarians who not only see guinea pigs, but who are also knowledgable and comfortable with them are hard to find. Thank you!

Dr. Moore is a wonderful veterinarian, the staff is friendly and very accommodating. We are always happy with the service we receive here. Dr. Moore is always up to date on the latest research and you never feel rushed as she takes her time to explain everything during the examination. Plus the dog really likes her even though she gives him shots.

I was passing through Ventura late in the day when my dog recut her foot. Not knowing a vet in the area I called the first one I could find and got very lucky to have clicked on Moore Vet. The folks here allowed me to show up 20 minutes before closing, examined my pup and then ran over options for her. Once a course of action was decided they patched her paw up, wrapped it, put the cone of shame on her and we were back on the road in an hour. Very professional, very friendly and very accommodating. We brought our puppy in here a few months back when we thought he had something caught in his foot, we couldn't get into the place we had taken him to before and they were so accommodating. We really like Dr. Moore and her staff, it's a much more personal experience than the other large hospital in town we had been to. We felt so much more comfortable here and just brought little Jim in for a neuter this past week. They called to check up on him twice and he's doing great. He seems to like them a lot too. We'll definitely keep bringing him here! Thank Dr. Moore and staff, we can tell you really care for your patients.

She is very thorough, has good pricing, she is knowledgeable, and she doesn't even mind answering my endless analytical questions. My family and I are staying were staying in Ventura when we got a last minute appointment here. The staff was so friendly in squeezing us in. Dr. Moore is very knowledgable and showed excellent care and interest towards our dog. She also gave us options to choose from and gave us some great information. It was a little pricey but definitely worth it! Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we will go back while we are in the area.

When it comes to health care, I want someone knowledgeable and caring. When it comes to vet care for my animals, I want someone even better than that. In my experience, Dr. Moore is all that I could ask for.I live in the OC, but my mom has been going to Dr. Moore for years. She raves about her. Recently, while on a long vacation, my mom dog-sat my two dogs. One is younger, but one is a senior with Addison's disease. When my dog had an Addisonian attack and I was gone, my mom quickly took her to Dr. Moore who knew just what do to. My dog was quickly stabilized and I returned to a dog who was on the upswing. Even after my dogs and I went back to home in the OC, Dr. Moore gave us a follow-up call to be sure that all is well and that my dog was back to normal.A few years ago, our family cat passed away due to old age after a good, long life. Dr. Moore was kind enough to help us say goodbye to her. Then, Dr. Moore took the ashes and scattered them over the ocean, where I know that our family cat has gone back to the earth and sea. Finally, she donated to the U.C. Davis Companion Animal Fund in our cat's name. Obviously Dr. Moore cares about the pets.We are happy with the service that Dr. Moore provides. Our animals are happy with the care.

Four cats later and I STILL LOVE THIS VET! I even love the cute little house the office is in, even though it can get crowded when big dogs are there, LOL. The pets are always treated as though they were her own, and I have always received thorough explanations of the diagnosis and clear, detailed instructions for my responsibilities in the treatment plan. Dr Moore's staff is pleasant and has great follow up post visit. Dr Moore's office has even arranged for me to pick up medications and supplies outside of their business hours to accommodate my work schedule. Yes, it's pricey- unfortunately that is part of caring for your furry friends. The cost here is still less than taking them to the 24 hour place on Victoria or the other place on Sperry, which I've also had to do in the past.

My husband and I had a great experience with Dr. Moore and her staff taking care of our sick kitty, who had been lethargic and losing weight. We came for a second opinion after test results at another vet had not given us clear answers to address his health issues.Dr. Moore tirelessly walked through the potential causes for our kitty's illness. She relied not only on his test results, but also leveraged her deep experience and background with animals who've presented with similar challenges. She recommended a food change to rule out allergies before resorting to costly and invasive procedures. She even personally taught me to administer hydration to help our cat feel better in the short term. We are a week into treatment, and our cat's appetite and energy is noticeably improved. We are grateful for Dr. Moore looking at the whole picture to try and find answers.

Dr Moore is one of the most capable and compassionate veterinarians i have ever met. we are animal lovers, alway have pets, and we've been to and through many docs. We brought our bird in at the end of the day with a problem that turned out to be an emergency, and Moore responded with potent emergency care despite it being after hours. When things were coming together slowly, she offered to go the extra mile and take our bird home with her overnight--we would not have known how to handle her coming off the sedatives, and that was clear. She charged nothing for the extra care, and it made all the difference. She's got that clear, no-nonsense action character, and you couldn't do better if you choose to go to her!

We adopted a 14 year old Alaskan husky, retired sled dog that had run in the Iditarod several times. She was having difficulty getting around due to soreness in her shoulders & hips. Dr. Moore has been treating her for several months now with a K-laser. She is like a new dog! Amazing results! Her head is held up high now & she can't wait to go for walks. Dr. Moore's treatment has been incredible. I encourage any & all pet owners to take advantage of the wonderful care that Dr. Moore provides. We wouldn't think of entrusting the health of our dogs with anybody else.

Dr. Moore and her staff are the best. I brought my dog, Cody, for his shots when I first moved here. Dr. Moore took the time to tell me about foxtails and other possible hazards that I wouldn't have known about. She cared for him for many years. When he became ill, she tirelessly answered all my questions. When it was time to say good bye to my beloved Cody, her staff could not have been more caring, understanding, calming and sympathetic. I still have an adorable Springer Spaniel who sees Dr. Moore as needed. I am amazed at the depth of her knowledge regarding all aspects of care formy dogs. Always good advice; always up to date on current happenings and not one to just hand out medicine. I will always have a dog and Dr. Moore will always be their vet.Update 5/6/2014I needed to bring my Springer Spaniel to Dr. Moore for ear issues. His ear flap was swollen 3 times its normal size. I was able to get Copper in that morning. Dr. Moore was concerned and he needed to stay at the clinic under sedation to have his ears cleaned and all that other fun stuff. I was given a list of options of services to be performed with the prices so I would know the exact price and could fit the emergency care into my budget. Copper is all better and there is nothing quite like knowing that when you dog is sick, there is a very capable and qualified vet to care for your pet but also to help keep me calm.

I came to Dr. Moore because she was recommended to me by a friend. I came not over a week ago and she told me all the info I needed to know and more about the kitten I had just adopted. She told me what to look out for when it came to my kitten having a temper to him being super loving. (I adopted a siamese kitten) She told me about how old my kitten should be when he starts to lose his baby teeth, to what food is recommended, etc. She did a full exam and wrote up an estimate for me to see what options I had for the future when I decided to neuter him when he is the appropriate age, what vaccines he needed etc. I was informed of the price and recommendations, which were not "added without my knowing" like other reviews say. I was very pleased with Dr. Moore and her staff which were very nice. She will continue to be my kitten's vet.

My green iguana ive had for 8 years, 5 years ago he had a primary vet that i loved in Thousand Oaks. when he broke his toe and had a bad infection that vet told me to put neosporne on it. His condition worsened and he was barely breathing. I found Doc Moore on the internet and tried her. She knew exactly what was wrong and that Jack didnt have much time. She knew my budget and worked with it. Saved his life. 2 months ago his face had a bad infection and again, she instantly knew what to do. i again gave her my budget and she worked with it. she gave me a realistic outcome - Jack had a 50/50 chance to survive the next week. Here we are at 2 months and hes thriving. i couldnt be happier. Not only does she know exotic pets, she knows us as owners cant always shell out the money needed, and will help. My 2 new kittens now have Dr. Moore as a Vet because I couldnt imagine taking them anywhere else. Thank you for saving Jacks life!! Twice!!

I have been taking my pets to Dr. Moore for years and have referred many of my friends to her. I always say it is a very personal clinic and all who work with Dr. Moore truly love the animals.Just recently after my dog was attacked by another, our choices were to do surgery on the injury site to relieve the build up of fluid.... oraspirate as much fluid as possible along with the new laser treatment to reduce further fluid and encourage healing.Needless to say the less invasive the better. No surgery and no anesthesia for my dog's injury. I brought him back for 2 more laser treatments and he is healing up wonderfully!I appreciate Dr. Moore's caring approach as well as her expertise as a veterinarian.

I recomend her to all of my friends! Dr. Moore has been so wonderful, guiding me and giving me options to best fit my budget and keep my pets at their best. She is not just a vet but a pet owner who knows how it feels to have a sick friend. Pets just like people are not cheap when it comes to medical care, nothing is for free but at least you know you are in experienced and caring hands at all times. You are taught "you get what you pay for" but with Moore Veterinary Care caring for your pet you know you are getting more than you paid for! Absolutely the best vet ever!!!!!!!

Dr. Moore has consistently handled the needs of my felines. She spends quality time with you and your pet and thoroughly explains the diagnosis. I had an emergency situation that was handled with utmost professionalism. Her quick response was letter-perfect as was her follow-up with VMSG (Veterinary Medical and Surgical Group) and their trauma team. She is very hands-on, highly knowledgeable and cool and collected under pressure. HIGHLY recommended.

Dr. Moore and her staff were professional, highly skilled and compassionate with our dog from the moment we walked in the office. Our shepherd is receiving laser treatments to help the skin recover on his tail. The tail lesions appeared visibly better after the first treatment and are continuing to improve with each brief treatment (3 in total). We are relieved and grateful that his tail is healing so well, so quickly (less than two weeks) and with very little stress to our dog. We highly recommend Moore Veterinary Care and are so appreciative of Dr. Karen Moore and her staffs' expertise. Thank you, Luann & David Furman

We visited this clinic when our guinea pig fell ill. She is better now, thanks to them. They were courteous and showed genuine concern for us. Dr. Moore is very knowledgable with guinea pigs and treated her as if she were her own. The clinic was clean. Every time I've called they ask about how she is doing. We are so grateful for having found this clinic, because veterinarians who not only see guinea pigs, but who are also knowledgable and comfortable with them are hard to find. Thank you!

Dr. Moore is always up to date on the latest research and you never feel rushed as she takes her time to explain everything during the examination. I was passing through Ventura late in the day when my dog recut her foot. Not knowing a vet in the area I called the first one I could find and got very lucky to have clicked on Moore Vet. The folks here allowed me to show up 20 minutes before closing, examined my pup and then ran over options for her. Once a course of action was decided they patched her paw up, wrapped it, put the cone of shame on her and we were back on the road in an hour. Very professional, very friendly and very accommodating. We brought our puppy in here a few months back when we thought he had something caught in his foot, we couldn't get into the place we had taken him to before and they were so accommodating. We really like Dr. Moore and her staff, it's a much more personal experience than the other large hospital in town we had been to. We felt so much more comfortable here and just brought little Jim in for a neuter this past week. They called to check up on him twice and he's doing great. He seems to like them a lot too. We'll definitely keep bringing him here! Thank Dr. Moore and staff, we can tell you really care for your patients.

My family and I are staying were staying in Ventura when we got a last minute appointment here. The staff was so friendly in squeezing us in. Dr. Moore is very knowledgable and showed excellent care and interest towards our dog. She also gave us options to choose from and gave us some great information. It was a little pricey but definitely worth it! Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we will go back while we are in the area.

When it comes to health care, I want someone knowledgeable and caring. When it comes to vet care for my animals, I want someone even better than that. In my experience, Dr. Moore is all that I could ask for.I live in the OC, but my mom has been going to Dr. Moore for years. She raves about her. Recently, while on a long vacation, my mom dog-sat my two dogs. One is younger, but one is a senior with Addison's disease. When my dog had an Addisonian attack and I was gone, my mom quickly took her to Dr. Moore who knew just what do to. My dog was quickly stabilized and I returned to a dog who was on the upswing. Even after my dogs and I went back to home in the OC, Dr. Moore gave us a follow-up call to be sure that all is well and that my dog was back to normal.A few years ago, our family cat passed away due to old age after a good, long life. Dr. Moore was kind enough to help us say goodbye to her. Then, Dr. Moore took the ashes and scattered them over the ocean, where I know that our family cat has gone back to the earth and sea. Finally, she donated to the U.C. Davis Companion Animal Fund in our cat's name. Obviously Dr. Moore cares about the pets.We are happy with the service that Dr. Moore provides. Our animals are happy with the care.

Four cats later and I STILL LOVE THIS VET! I even love the cute little house the office is in, even though it can get crowded when big dogs are there, LOL. The pets are always treated as though they were her own, and I have always received thorough explanations of the diagnosis and clear, detailed instructions for my responsibilities in the treatment plan. Dr Moore's staff is pleasant and has great follow up post visit. Dr Moore's office has even arranged for me to pick up medications and supplies outside of their business hours to accommodate my work schedule. Yes, it's pricey- unfortunately that is part of caring for your furry friends. The cost here is still less than taking them to the 24 hour place on Victoria or the other place on Sperry, which I've also had to do in the past.

My husband and I had a great experience with Dr. Moore and her staff taking care of our sick kitty, who had been lethargic and losing weight. We came for a second opinion after test results at another vet had not given us clear answers to address his health issues.Dr. Moore tirelessly walked through the potential causes for our kitty's illness. She relied not only on his test results, but also leveraged her deep experience and background with animals who've presented with similar challenges. She recommended a food change to rule out allergies before resorting to costly and invasive procedures. She even personally taught me to administer hydration to help our cat feel better in the short term. We are a week into treatment, and our cat's appetite and energy is noticeably improved. We are grateful for Dr. Moore looking at the whole picture to try and find answers.

Dr Moore is one of the most capable and compassionate veterinarians i have ever met. we are animal lovers, alway have pets, and we've been to and through many docs. We brought our bird in at the end of the day with a problem that turned out to be an emergency, and Moore responded with potent emergency care despite it being after hours. When things were coming together slowly, she offered to go the extra mile and take our bird home with her overnight--we would not have known how to handle her coming off the sedatives, and that was clear. She charged nothing for the extra care, and it made all the difference. She's got that clear, no-nonsense action character, and you couldn't do better if you choose to go to her!

We adopted a 14 year old Alaskan husky, retired sled dog that had run in the Iditarod several times. She was having difficulty getting around due to soreness in her shoulders & hips. Dr. Moore has been treating her for several months now with a K-laser. She is like a new dog! Amazing results! Her head is held up high now & she can't wait to go for walks. Dr. Moore's treatment has been incredible. I encourage any & all pet owners to take advantage of the wonderful care that Dr. Moore provides. We wouldn't think of entrusting the health of our dogs with anybody else.

Dr. Moore and her staff are the best. I brought my dog, Cody, for his shots when I first moved here. Dr. Moore took the time to tell me about foxtails and other possible hazards that I wouldn't have known about. She cared for him for many years. When he became ill, she tirelessly answered all my questions. When it was time to say good bye to my beloved Cody, her staff could not have been more caring, understanding, calming and sympathetic. I still have an adorable Springer Spaniel who sees Dr. Moore as needed. I am amazed at the depth of her knowledge regarding all aspects of care formy dogs. Always good advice; always up to date on current happenings and not one to just hand out medicine. I will always have a dog and Dr. Moore will always be their vet.Update 5/6/2014I needed to bring my Springer Spaniel to Dr. Moore for ear issues. His ear flap was swollen 3 times its normal size. I was able to get Copper in that morning. Dr. Moore was concerned and he needed to stay at the clinic under sedation to have his ears cleaned and all that other fun stuff. I was given a list of options of services to be performed with the prices so I would know the exact price and could fit the emergency care into my budget. Copper is all better and there is nothing quite like knowing that when you dog is sick, there is a very capable and qualified vet to care for your pet but also to help keep me calm.

I came to Dr. Moore because she was recommended to me by a friend. I came not over a week ago and she told me all the info I needed to know and more about the kitten I had just adopted. She told me what to look out for when it came to my kitten having a temper to him being super loving. (I adopted a siamese kitten) She told me about how old my kitten should be when he starts to lose his baby teeth, to what food is recommended, etc. She did a full exam and wrote up an estimate for me to see what options I had for the future when I decided to neuter him when he is the appropriate age, what vaccines he needed etc. I was informed of the price and recommendations, which were not "added without my knowing" like other reviews say. I was very pleased with Dr. Moore and her staff which were very nice. She will continue to be my kitten's vet.

My green iguana ive had for 8 years, 5 years ago he had a primary vet that i loved in Thousand Oaks. when he broke his toe and had a bad infection that vet told me to put neosporne on it. His condition worsened and he was barely breathing. I found Doc Moore on the internet and tried her. She knew exactly what was wrong and that Jack didnt have much time. She knew my budget and worked with it. Saved his life. 2 months ago his face had a bad infection and again, she instantly knew what to do. i again gave her my budget and she worked with it. she gave me a realistic outcome - Jack had a 50/50 chance to survive the next week. Here we are at 2 months and hes thriving. i couldnt be happier. Not only does she know exotic pets, she knows us as owners cant always shell out the money needed, and will help. My 2 new kittens now have Dr. Moore as a Vet because I couldnt imagine taking them anywhere else. Thank you for saving Jacks life!! Twice!!

I always say it is a very personal clinic and all who work with Dr. Moore truly love the animals.Just recently after my dog was attacked by another, our choices were to do surgery on the injury site to relieve the build up of fluid.... oraspirate as much fluid as possible along with the new laser treatment to reduce further fluid and encourage healing.Needless to say the less invasive the better. No surgery and no anesthesia for my dog's injury. I brought him back for 2 more laser treatments and he is healing up wonderfully!I appreciate Dr. Moore's caring approach as well as her expertise as a veterinarian.

I recomend her to all of my friends! Dr. Moore has been so wonderful, guiding me and giving me options to best fit my budget and keep my pets at their best. She is not just a vet but a pet owner who knows how it feels to have a sick friend. Pets just like people are not cheap when it comes to medical care, nothing is for free but at least you know you are in experienced and caring hands at all times. You are taught "you get what you pay for" but with Moore Veterinary Care caring for your pet you know you are getting more than you paid for! Absolutely the best vet ever!!!!!!!

Dr. Moore has consistently handled the needs of my felines. She spends quality time with you and your pet and thoroughly explains the diagnosis. I had an emergency situation that was handled with utmost professionalism. Her quick response was letter-perfect as was her follow-up with VMSG (Veterinary Medical and Surgical Group) and their trauma team. She is very hands-on, highly knowledgeable and cool and collected under pressure. HIGHLY recommended.
