I came in a few days ago because my Poodle got kicked by my horse. He was severely injured. They did not want to attend me and told me to go to the clinic down the hill because they were full. As I was leaving I saw a well dressed man with a nice car come in with his dog. They attended him without a problem. I waited outside and spoke to the man when he came out. He said his dog got bit by another dog and came in as an emergency. I was just off work and I wasn’t well dressed so I feel like they discriminated me. This place only cares about money and will not try to give you the best service if you look like you can’t afford it. They don’t care about the animals just the money. Stay away from this place. I was really worried about bringing my dog here after reading some of these reviews but I had no choice. Well we found the staff to be friendly and kind and the vet was nice to. My dog stayed over night and we collected him in the morning. He is doing well now. He had a massive mini football size lump on his neck that appeared over night and our normal vet couldn't see him. Then it got worse his face was swelling to. He had a massive cyst that was pinching a blood vessel causing his face and mouth to swell. Thankfully the Dr Edward's sorted it out and he's doing fine now. Read Less

Took my boss’ dog in last night because she was in labor and was having some complications. The vet was extremely rude and kept questioning me about why I had the dog? I explained my boss was away on vacation and we weren’t expecting for the dog to go into labor... He was rude and started laughing at the fact that I had the dog with me or I don’t know what was funny to him. Very unprofessional and not helpful with the situation. When you walk into a vet with a dog having complications you want to feel secure and comfort, you won’t get that here. Read Less

Everyone was really nice, and helped us right away. Our dog went into surgery right away, and we were able to pick him up the next morning. He healed quickly, and they even called to check up on his progress. After just 2 visits, he is back to his old self again. My kids couldn't be happier! Thank you! Read Less

I should have listened to the bad review's and went elsewhere. Money hungry snobs. They take your baby away. I don't know if he even got what I paid for. Heard some tech in the back cussing and saying she forgot something. Hope that other dog is ok. They are unbelievably rude. Never have I been to a vet like this. Never again. The woman at the front just gave me dirty looks. Like where do they find these people? You should have compassion for animals and their owners who are upset and worried about their beloved pet. My boy still isn't better and now after that expense I have to take him to another vet to find out what the heck is wrong with my sweet boy. Read Less

The Animal Emergency Clinic doctor and staff were amazing with our dog, Jessie Belle. Two days before Christmas she had swallowed a sock, or so we thought. We rushed her to the clinic and they gave her meds to help her throw up the sock. She ended up throwing up 3 socks. The staff was nice and talked us through all options. Edited update: my mother in laws little buddy didn't make it. Maybe if he'd had veterinary care he would have. Guess we'll never know but she didn't happen to have almost two thousand dollars to pull out of thin air.  Didn't have a chance to patronize this establishment seeing as how they wanted an $1800 payment before they would even LOOK at my mother in laws dog. He was attacked my two larger dogs, yelping and bleeding, and they cared more about their payment than giving care. The receptionist tells my wife "we need this 1800 dollars before we can take him back there and we need to hurry" Classy. If your pet has an emergency, you better have doggy insurance or be ready to cut a check the minute you walk in the door if you choose to go here. If this is your only option, good luck. Read Less

I think I have been to this hospital 3 times over the last few years. I have not had a bad experience. Most recently I took my dog because it looked like she had a foxtail in her paw and, of course, it happened the evening before the July 4th. I got lucky and the emergency hospital was not busy yet. The whole thing took an hour. The vet let me watch everything he was doing which I liked and my dog was more calm with me there. He flushed the wound and gave us some antibiotics. I followed up with my vet a few days later, but her foot is pretty much all healed now with no more problems. Pretty reasonable price for an emergency visit also. Read Less

When I got there there was no urgency, no compassion, and professionalism it was just fill out this paper and give me your debit card. The diagnosis was so far from what actually was wrong with my baby. They gave her medication that she should never had been given with her vital signs. My mother in laws dog got attacked by 3 pitbull mix dogs this past Friday night around 11 pm, being the only 24 hour emergency clinic here in apple valley, she rushed her dog over to get treatment. SHE WAS TURNED AWAY! By an emergency clinic and they told her to go to Ontario  (AN HOUR AWAY) her dog was in shock and very bloody, and they couldn't even come outside to check on him because "they had surgeries." I understand you have things scheduled, but you are an emergency clinic and my mothers dog needed care. He is now staying at his regular vets office for multiple days of hospitalization and I strongly believe he needs so much hospitalization because this place couldn't be bothered to help right away which would have greatly helped. DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE, they do NOT care.Edit: her dog passed away today and I highly believe it's because he did not get care sooner because these people would not take him. Read Less

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!  I took my 7lb puppy in on Saturday, April 15 due to a swollen eye.  I arrived prior to midnight and sat in the exam room for over an hour listening to another animal screaming in pain.  I actually didn't have a problem with the wait (or the screaming) as I understand this is an emergency room and that attending vets are busy with other patients.  What I had a problem with is the female "vet" flying into the room and treating my extremely scared dog roughly.  The "vet" was EXTREMEY unfriendly, she never introduced herself, she didn't give my scared animal a chance to smell or get to know her.  Instead she immediately grabbed him and roughly pried open his affected eye and while interrogating me as to why I brought the dog in.  When I explained that his eye, which I noticed was slightly swollen in the morning, had gotten worse during the day and was now obviously painful to him since he was shying away from anyone touching him on that side of his face and cried when my other dog bumped into him.  The "vet" pronounced that his eye was only slightly swollen but that he had nothing in his eye and needed to be kept for observation since his swollen eye could be a sign of "brain trauma sustained from the hit I witnessed the other dog give him", "his brain is swelling and causing the eye to swell and the pain". I again tried to explain his eye was already slightly swollen in the morning, the other dog (same size and breed of my injured one) did not attack him, he cried when her wiggling butt brushed against him as I was greeting them which let me know he was in pain and that's why I brought him to the ER instead of waiting for two days to take him to his regular vet on Monday.  The "vet" became even more unfriendly and AGAIN very roughly pried open his eye and stated "well there's nothing in it maybe it's allergies", she recommended allergy and pain medication. Although she didn't even bother with even the most basic exam much less spend even two minutes looking at him, I agreed to the recommendations so I could at least offer my animal some relief until we could get to another clinic.  About ten minutes after the "vet" leaves, another employee comes in and presents me with a bill for OVER $450.  I stated the "vet" had recommended allergy and pain meds and asked which of the charges were for that.  The employee was very nice and did try to explain what each of the charges were for but her explanations were completely contradicting what the "vet" had just said.  I became angry and requested a bill for the office charge, gave the employee cash for the visit and left the room to wait at the reception desk for my change and a receipt.  The employee and "vet" obviously didn't realize I was still in the building and could overhear them because the "vet" went on a very in-depth and extremely unflattering tangent about me personally as well as my obvious over reaction.  I listened to her rant for about five minutes before the she thought to ask "so she just left?" to which I replied "No, I've been standing out here listening to you talk shit about me."  It suddenly became very quiet and the employee soon reappeared with my change and the requested receipt.  I asked for the original bill I was presented with but they "didn't save it because treatment was declined".  I ended up driving for almost two hours to take the dog to another treatment facility.  Turns out, HE HAD THE TIP OF A FOXTAIL IN HIS EYE.  Total amount of the second vet visit INCLUDING removal, pain meds and eye drops... slightly over $150.  No special dye, observations or any of the other many procedures the Animal Emergency Clinic "vet" tried to bill me for were necessary.  The only thing that was needed for the problem to be spotted was for someone to take a little bit of time and care.  Whoever this female "vet" is... You are a horrible person, with an absolutely despicable personality and abysmal bedside manner.  You have zero compassion or morals and appear to be interested only in how much money you can scam off of people.  I sincerely hope karma bites you on the ass.  To the rest of the vets and staff of the Animal Emergency Clinic, I hope you get rid of this horrible person soon.  You get really good reviews, the majority of the negative reviews you garner seem to be related with the female "vet", you only have one on staff... Anyone else see a problem here? Read Less

We took my dog to fix a dislocated hip. We paid the 600 + dollars and she stayed overnight. The next morning when we picked her up we noticed that she had no sling on her leg. The doctor says that the slings don't work so he didnt put one on. Doing some research other places say that the dogs need a sling to let the legs heal. Regardless we took the doctors word for it. The next day my dogs hip got dislocated again and we took her back. He then said that there was no point in fixing it because it would keep falling out and Sergey was the only option. Then he told us that if we can't afford the Sergey ( witch we can't) that we need to put our dog to sleep. Could all of this been avoided if my dog had a sling to keep her leg in place? Probably. Now it's Christmas and everyone is having the worst time because we 're scared that we might have to put our dog to sleep by the new year. Read Less

So I Went Here Because I Thought It Would Be The Only Place Open Seeing How It Was Easter Sunday. And I Completely Regret Taking My Baby Girl Here. The Vet Wasn't Professional At All. When He First Came In He Was Rude About The Problems My Dog Was Having. Then He Decided That It Was Important To Do An Ultrasound, I Agreed. Then He Told Me He THINKS It's Kidney Stones And He Would Have To Do An X-ray, I Again Agree, Then He Takes Me Back To Look At The X-ray And Tells Me That Her Tail Is Broken (It's Not) And Then Starts Pointing At Some Area Telling Me He THINKS That They Are The Stones. So I Had Gone To Another Vet To Get A Second Opinion Because This Place Wanted To Just Jump Straight To Surgery. The Other Vet Said They Didn't Have The Equipment To Be Able To Tell. So I Came Back To This Place To Get A Catheter Put In My Dog To Ease Some Of Her Pain. Then He Proceeds To Tell Me That There Is No Stones And That She Has A Mass That Is Cutting Off Her Urethra And That It Needs To Be Removed And That It Possibly Could Be Cancer. And a lady came out and said we don't open till 6:00.  She said there's no dr here and refused to open the door.   I tried to find out what to do but she walked away.  I called another vet who told me to go to this hospital. I drove back to the location and saw the same lady letting anther person in.  I went back up to the door and it was locked.  I waited at the door but no one came.   I put my dog in the car and drove down the hill.  This place was so unprofessional and offered no help.  And to the lady that did this. Find somewhere else. I asked them "What happens to my (dead) dog?" Their answer, "D&D Disposal picks the caucuses up and will cremate them." I researched D&D, and I found no crematorium there and I saw a YouTube video of what they do. Just disgusting. Also. when I was having second thoughts about a $3,200 offer to do surgery to remove a mass, the vet staff said, "Well, your dog is suffering, we just can't let him leave" and so I felt like I couldn't leave with my beloved dog. Unfortunate for me I didn't know the rules, because I wanted to find a less expensive vet to get the job done. Ultimately I found one but after the fact. I absolutely regret going to that clinic. Never again will I take my dog here! I took him one week because he was complaining of pain I figured he had a stomach ache. So I took him first thing Vet tells me is that he needs X-rays and blood work to know what was wrong with him they were charging me over $500 and I told him I didn't have the money for it so I asked if he could give me something for his stomach pain and so the front desk girl comes in and gives him 3 shots on the top of his neck. He woke up fine the next morning. One week later my dog gets sick again but even worse this time he would hunch his back and couldn't walk and would cry every time I touched him & so I decided to take him back and all they told me was that he could've had a muscle spasm/injured disc on the top of his neck and so they gave me pain medication but I decided to take him to another vet and they did X-rays and said he was fine. That the vaccinations they gave him on the neck could've been a factor for which why he was having that pain. So please be careful when you take your pet here. I never post bad reviews but I felt like this was necessary.Read Less

Read Less

Read Less

My mother in laws dog got attacked by 3 pitbull mix dogs this past Friday night around 11 pm, being the only 24 hour emergency clinic here in apple valley, she rushed her dog over to get treatment. SHE WAS TURNED AWAY! I understand you have things scheduled, but you are an emergency clinic and my mothers dog needed care. He is now staying at his regular vets office for multiple days of hospitalization and I strongly believe he needs so much hospitalization because this place couldn't be bothered to help right away which would have greatly helped. Bullitt (Great Dane) was showing pretty good signs of the stomach flipping problem. We saw Dr. Henderson, after examination, she didn't believe he had a major problem but gave us a couple of options. One of the options was to take him home and monitor his health, if his condition worsened we could simply bring him back in (and not get charged another $64 examination fee). It felt good not being taken advantage of.

Read Less

I brought my cat here after being stung in the mouth by a honey bee. The staff was most helpful , professional and polite. The Vet was kind , gentle and calm. My normally very scared and erratic kitty was calm and cool. Once cleared and checked out the staff answered all our questions and concerns. The cost was reasonable  considering it is an Emergency Room. I wish I could give more stars but five is the max. Love this place and will come back here for sure if another emergency come up. All I can say is WOW. Our poor Bun Bun passed away due to seizures.... and boy were the staff understanding since they were getting our business! Calm, kind and understanding.Weeks later my mom called to get our puppy's ashes and no answer. Ok maybe they are busy.... we called the week after. No answer. Came to find out Bun Bun had been sitting on the shelf in their place for 2 weeks! The lady on the phone insisted she left a voicemail. LIAR. I went through my voicemail and my mom went through hers and nothing! Not even a missed call! My mom asked her why couldn't she call a second time and her response was "Sorry, we have other patients."My mom went down there to speak to a manager in person and was met with a rude girl with black framed glasses who insisted there was no one she could speak with and also insisted she was not being rude on the phone. Another lie to cover her butt. Another girl came out and of course defended her friend. The cherry on the cake was when the girl pushed the ashes across the counter and said, "Enjoy your ashes." Are you kidding me????? Obviously these people are not animal lovers and don't think animals are part of the family! How rude, not compassionate and cruel! My mom came home in tears! This place obviously has bad management and doesn't care what their employees say to their customers! You better believe we will be contacting the Better Business Bureau this week!!!!!

So I End Up Going To A Specialist In Ontario And None Of The Things Diagnosed By This Clinic Was Correct. This Place Is A Joke. Never Will I Go Back. Read Less
